FROM TOKYO: sit on the right side FROM KYOTO-OSAKA: sit on the left side We only get a perfect view for about 5 minutes and can sort of see it before and after the Fuji River.
Hi John, Greeting from Mexico I have a question, I´ve planned a trip to Japan and I have Fujinomiya as a part for my itinerary but I have a problem, I wanna visit the Shiraito Falls but I don't found information about the transport to fujinomiya to Shiraito Falls, Can you recomend me some site or something when I take the info?
ONLY in JAPAN * GO It’s better if you say like this: take E seat on ordinary cars or take D seat on green cars. They can rotate the seats in Shinkansen so I think this explanation is better and easier to remember.
I love the video this was awesome love seeing Mount Fuji picturesque keep up the great work John I love all the videos you make keep up the great work as always
Thanks for the details! It’s very useful - maybe because we’re flying though a populated area and the tracks are older here than in north Hokkaido and Kyushu. They were hurt quite recently, but I can hardly tell the speed difference after 250km/hr. It just feels fast!
Ahhh what a nice view... I took a whole bunch of photos while passing through the same area when we went from Kyoto to Tokyo early last year. But we missed going to Fuji san. It must be awesome to live close by the view and all.
I did this! The other passengers on the train were so accommodating to allow me to take pictures/videos while we passed Fuji. Moving aside for me to take my pictures, etc. I spent most of my time in between cars like you are here John. We also did the gondola ride to veiw Fuji, etc before that. To be able to live beside it and go biking around it! Wow..that would blow my mind. Just seeing it was one of the best experiences of my life. ❤️
Dorilana I know that feeling! I feel like taking pictures every after passing it hundreds of times! That’s so nice that people moved to take the shots - I usually go straight between cars because it’s gone so fast - or grab a seat on the Fuji side :) almost never see it in the summer - just October to April before the humidity.
@@onlyinjapanGO Thanks John 😊 Yes, we actually made a mistake and thought we were on the Fuji side. Ah well, turned out anyway. I am looking forward to the day I can spend more time in Japan really take it all in. ❤️
thanks for the Awesome share. new doctor new drugs, no nap, knew you were traveling and Jennifer cancelled her stream so i fell asleep about 15 mins before the notification came in for this one. :( i cleaned it up have a great night!
From Shin-Osaka to Okayama, if you get any N700 Series train (300 km/h top speed) that go straight from Shin-Kobe to Okayama without stopping anywhere in between (16-car: most of "Nozomi"; 8-car: all but one of "Mizuho" or some of "Sakura"), the train will run from Shin-Kobe to Nishi-Akashi station at 275 km/h, and after passing Nishi-Ahashi, it will make further acceleration and reach 300 km/h just in time before passing Himeji station, then pass both Himeji and Aioi stations travelling at 300 km/h. :) For tourists who use nationwide JR Pass, the only train that pass Himeji station at 300 km/h covered by the pass is "Sakura". However, for those who use JR West's regional passes, e.g. Kansai wide area pass, Kansai-Hiroshima area pass, Sanyo-San'in pass, etc., your pass also covers Nozomi and Mizuho, along with all other bullet trains on Sanyo Shinkansen in your pass' coverage.
Hi thanks for your another excellent video . Cool place, cool people and beautiful country ,it is the definition of Japan .John is very friendly .Big respect from Bangladesh .Stay safe and be happy .
John, how do you stay awake on the bullet train? The two times I rode it from Tokyo to Kyoto, the gentle sway rocked me to sleep like a baby both times.
Nice John..... Thanks for sharing. I'm going to have a talk with a higher being... i'd like a nice clear photo of Mt Fuji at least once. Every time i go it's slightly obstructed.
Gewglesux my favorites were from the airplane though - check out my Instagram for a shot a couple of months ago! So clear with snow! instagram.com/onlyinjapantv
Peter Reichert it was a beautiful day for it - not often is it this nice in the afternoon on an above average warm day. I wish the quality of the video was better though - will do it in 4K next time and make it about which side to sit on the Shinkansen :)
@@onlyinjapanGO the video was really good. I know from here, Germany, where is normal to have issues with the available of data service. Normally we have in tunnels no data service, so we stay here without any connection to outside. Today is little bit cloudy but the sun will have chance to show us his warmth :)
Hey john, is that means we not gonna have another a "long" livestreams for today !? Need your adventure dose of japan for today, i'm not on mood today though this livestream fix it ( even though the notification bell not work and give an after livestream notification, sad (T^T" )
What happens on train when there is a screaming brat that won't shut up? I remember flights where I wanted to lock them up in a sound proof room all while the parents ignored their screaming kids...

It's always seat E in both directions in standard cars. 😊
Reminds me of chemical brothers’ Star guitar video 😂

Ah yes the N700. I remember the blue and white combination , and the smoothest train ride i have ever experienced.
Whether climbing it, seeing it across the lakes, from the air, from a train, from Tokyo etc. - can never get tired of Mt. Fuji - it's so awesome.
I love the video this was awesome love seeing Mount Fuji picturesque keep up the great work John I love all the videos you make keep up the great work as always
Took a Hikari couple of years ago from Tokyo - Osaka. It was included to RailPasses. Thanks John, love your vids/streams.
Accurately between Tokyo and Shin Osaka the maximum speed is 285 km/h, between Shin Osaka and Hakata there is a 300 km/h section
And between Tokyo to Aomori the top speed is 320 km/h
Thanks for the details! It’s very useful - maybe because we’re flying though a populated area and the tracks are older here than in north Hokkaido and Kyushu. They were hurt quite recently, but I can hardly tell the speed difference after 250km/hr. It just feels fast!
My top 5 Cities (or towns) to view Mount Fuji :
1. Fujinomiya
2. Fujikawaguchiko
3. Gotemba
4. Numazu
5. Fuji
What about Kakegawa City?

ramsessilent thank you so much for always being there for us! I’ll try to give you more of a notice next time :)
I rode one from shin-Osaka to Kyoto and shin-osaka to okayama. Although just a quick ride but Shinkansen technology is freaking awesome.

Now this is Japan. I really want to climb Mt.Fuji one day and be above the clouds.
To bad we will never experience this type of speed in the USA.
Acela?

Not even close. At best 125 mph on short stretches of track.
Fuji was not nearly so clear when i went through in June. Nice 'Go' John
Fujinomiya? Pulp factories, no?

Actually i think it's 285km/h, Tokaido has a lower limit than the Sanyo for the N700s
N700 Shinkansen is the best!!!
This reminds me of your recent FB post John!!!! 😬
astroboy3507 ah! Those are Instagram posts that get forwarded to Facebook :) will have to do this in a non-live stream so we get 4K quality :)
ONLY in JAPAN * GO ahh ok!! Insta!!
John also nice to see you on 500th episode on Tokyo eye!!!!!!! ♥️
More train videos plz
John Smith Main channel train video coming in March!
Right on dude eh!
Just a reminder for those who will take the Shinkansen: take E seat on ordinary cars or take D seat on green cars.
