This Tuesday, Marcus Lemonis tries to help prevent a small town family run BBQ restaurant from going up in smoke. WATCH a brand new #TheProfit Tuesday at 10p ET/PT on CNBC!
Drove 2 hours to eat lunch there today. The best southern food I've ever had! Met Lynn and she is so sweet, I had to give her a hug. If you are anywhere in the area and they are open, stop and enjoy! In fact, plan your travel around their hours! Yule be glad you did.
We were there on 6-11-15. They're building a huge addition. Still the best Q in these parts imo. Classic eastern Carolina's style. The biscuits truly melt-in-your-mouth. Ribs are second to none. Amazing country buffet.
danlc95 I know! Marcus said that the brother in law couldnt describe the position he wanted, because the position doesnt exist. That was great. Bro in law wanted to get on social media and gather "likes" lol
So true he breaks down literally every part of an industry. Many can't stay out i Of their own way, therefore, they never make it, several closed down shortly after.
The brother in law was just looking for a piece of the pie 🥧. It was awkward for him to be there and he had no expertise on how to expand the business.
I couldn't get over how he picked up the plates, walked in a circle, and then put them back where he got them. He wasn't even worth 10% of the salary he was getting.
Brother in law: Its needs to be worth my while to move out here and be a part of the company. Its not a matter of being worth your while. Its a matter of whether or not you're worth 200k or not.
That brother in law looks like the type who would put out a hit on the sister in law's family after setting up an insurance policy scam. Don't like him at all!!!!!!
The business proposal makes a lot of sense for profitability and Yule sounds like he is looking to jump on the band wagon, with little less than nothing to contribute at a high cost. .go with the Profit!
Yule would like twice what the owner makes. Yule knows nothing about business as you can tell. Yule started the companies Facebook page... so far that’s all we know what other value does he bring.
Part of me is bitter that they gave up so much of the company. All they had to do was raise the price $1 per plate and they woulda had enough room to hire a manager and lighten the load. Instead you give it to Marcus, and the first thing he does usually is raise the prices. Still very reasonable, but dinner went from $11.95 to $18.95 10 years later.
When you talked about not franchising because of the differing cultures of BBQ, you were going in the wrong direction. Literally. You were looking south and south west. Think about going north east or even north west. We love BBQ but are not stone set on our ways about how it should be prepared. Give us good BBQ and we'll keep coming back. Check out Sonny's BBQ chain? They do well up here. Just a consideration.
Your offer seems low on these, 40% of that business to me is worth above 2m dollars. It's a living business Kudos any way, you are such a brilliant entrepreneur sir! I enjoy all your episodes.
This is highway robbery. They just need someone to help organize. I get they need to pay themselves but you’re trying to grow and Organize a business. Maybe take less of pay and use the other 45k to hire a manager???? They can live on 80k for a bit.
So is that person who they hire to help there buisness are gonna give up there hard earn cash to help them succeeded and make more money ?? He's not a thief it's just that your stupid in the head and don't know what's going on

Brother in law is a shyster- greedy liar.
I agree. He put out the "used car salesman" vibe.
This is my second favorite episode. SWEET PETES is my favorite. Both these episodes have a quasi-villian. lol
