Shattered Schemes | American Greed
One of my favorite shows can't go wrong with American Greed can't find this on TV anymore only youtube
20th like and 1st reply!
Pluto tv
@@JJdown no way American Greed on Pluto TV wow imma check that out
@JJdown what channel would American Greed be on and what day n time would it be on
It airs on CNBC. It is currently in reruns.
I love American Greed . I also love the man who narrates the episodes.
Not sure whats more impressive, to be able to save 1 million dollars or to invest every single penny of hard earned money to the two guys you just met, instead of investing half and keeping the other half just to make sure you have something left in case it doesnt work out.
The American “Greed” is a two way street, but only has one exit…
Half is too much. You wanna do pareto's 20 percent
@@jjgg2627at most… especially with this scheme…sounds like a weird deal so be careful on such bets…do your due diligence…
American is greedy
This has nothing to do with the Pareto principle you sound like someone who never finished high school
7:38 “If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.”
If it sounds too good to be true then you should jump on the opportunity immediately because too-good-to-be-true offers like that don't come around often. The trick is to just throw caution to the wind and turn off that part of your brain that controls critical thinking and common sense as that stuff will just get in the way of you making serious financial gains.
yep, and use your intuition and do your due diligence…too many scammers
I just can’t help laughing at the investors…the greed comes from the investors as well!
More american greed episodes
New ones
Like the first 8 seasons!
Greed is international baby 😉
I'm playing catch up on the episodes‼️
Less American greed
That 100% return after 6 years was a major red flag because it sounded too good to be true.
They both drove up in separate Hummers.....that should have been her sign to exit stage left
"They had Hummers so I knew they were prosperous" 😮
I don't understand that. I saw big trucks, the gold standard for legit investors.
Yeah. Twenty-something year olds with fancy cars and suits are the LAST people you give your money to!
*That last name of his... ooooooo weeee! Ray Charles even saw that coming.*
With names like Conn & Madoff... WHO KNEW. LMAO
A lawyer named Conn. Nothing suspicious about it.
Add Trump to the list
@@tuffg.5469 see you in 34 days...
@@tuffg.5469what are you talking about??? I’ve ordered 6 of his $100K Tourbillion watches. It took me a while to gather up $600K worth of gift cards to pay for them, but I persevered! Best investment EVER!! !
They even told me about a Saudi prince that they know, but I have to keep that one on the down low…
*You forgot the name trump!*
This woman is educated and the two guys show up at the meeting in two hummers. That was a screaming red flag for me. Why? 2 guys, Italian suits, hummers, and death payments. Who can’t loose with this😂. I am being sarcastic
That should have been the first Red Flag,.show up in Hummer's? C'Mon..
Right. They were leased! 🤣🤣🤣
@kt16621 people lease business vehicles. Back then hummers were popular vehicles.
Holy, betting on someone's death is another level of greed...
How is that even legal, investors would have ulterior motives in death of their clients so they could cash in quicker, only in America.
Walmart and other corporations have been caught doing it and they call it "dead peasants" or something. But technically, anyone can take out a policy on anyone, as long as they know their ssn
Insurance companies do it everyday
@@maniac50ae14 dead peasant insurance
This sounds like a Lifetime movie.
Whoever comes up with the titles for these episodes give them a raise lmao "Shattered Schemes" = classic.
The Conn clients, his last name says it all lol
Yup, one of those times when the answer is in the question 😃
Conn-law office, Dr Death-plastic surgery office, Dr Ian Blind-vision care 😂
If you invest $1 million, you should be hiring an attorney to investigate the company you plan on investing in, especially if they came to you or were recommended to you rather than you going to them. You should be checking their business history.
If I have $1 million I would buy small apt complex and live in one of the unit. I will get pay every month from my tenants.
@@Area51-is6vgtrue or pick a few good stocks and invest 25%.
The victims always seem so impressed with how prosperous fraudsters look. ?? We'd all look more prosperous if we were playing with other people's money. An ostentatious show of wealth ought to be a big flashing red flag. Why don't people get this?
The playboy got PLAYED😂😂
Lol, my thoughts as well! Some relationship expert. AND he had a friend who was financial advisor. Smh.
Don’t ever invest all of your money in one thing or with one person. Diversify, diversify, diversify. 🤑
Or save at least have and not touch it at all
true and save what you need just in case. invest a small portion and watch your portfolio each fay and read….
The days of diversification are gone, ask Gordon Gecko
These are not complete episodes and it is frustrating not knowing how the con was carried out..
If she did invest that 1 mil with Nigerian prince the gold would be on the way by now 😂😂
The email would have to be very impressive though😂😂😂
If you're dumb enough to give someone ALL of your money, you kinda deserve to get ripped off.
I wouldn’t say deserved, but I would definitely say being careless gullible and naïve can cost a lot of money
So people with obvious mental disabilities/and or brain damage, who have the IQ of 10 year olds, 'deserve' to get ripped off? You sound like a good person😂
I binge watch this every chance I can I love this show it’s really amazing what people will do for money
Bro took sign twirling to level 12/10. What a way to advertise, I know it's not new but a lawyer doing it seems innovative.
that eric kahn guy reminds me of saul goodman
😂 I thought the same, wandering if Better Call Saul was modelled after this Conn.
I'll bet Steve the relationship expert has never had a girlfriend. LOL
It was kind of hard to feel bad for him lol
The guy who lied to his mother about his jail sentence was never punished for lying when he grew up. So it’s no problem lying to his mother as an adult.
He disrespects his mother because he was allowed to as a child. I am 61 years old and would never talk to my mother like that and I would never let my daughter who’s almost 40 talk to me like that either.
He called her stupid and everything. Very crazy.
100% return? That’s impossible.
100% in 6 years that's about 16 and a half percent a year....... Very high but not impossible
It’s not impossible but would carry a very high risk
@@robynbieber6312 yes and in his backyard he has white unicorns, pink dragons and a tree that's covered with gold coins.
@@phillyvoodooIt's 12% compounded. Double in 6 is 12%. Rule of 72.
It's a zero coupon. Given what happened in 08, the return would have been very attractive had it not been imaginary.
i make more than 100% in the stock market
I knew Chris Allmendinger. Was shocked when this went down.
The moment the narrator said 'They offered higher returns' .... immediately felt like saying 'Red Flag'
One of the best shows and narrator voice
They need to hire Matt Cox to host this show ASAP
This used to go on on Saturday Nights but I just subscribed to the channel
Just short clips of some episodes. Not the whole episodes.
Mr Almond-Dinger, what a name.
His genius-level IQ didn't tell him that his plan was a bad idea.
I only got 10 years, which is better than nothing!! Psychos really can amuse you.
Compulsive liars can’t stop lying. Like Trump, they lie no matter how obvious it is that they are lying
When it comes to your life savings, you have to be extremely guarded. Like the old saying goes, don’t put all your eggs in one basket.
when it comes to your money, be suspicious of anyone who is trying to pressure you into giving up your money for any reason.
Remember, it’s your money. Not their money. if there’s any doubt, don’t do it. It’s better safe than sorry.
“33 year old Almond Digger” … what kind of profession is that?! He digs up almonds?!
America, land of opportunity for real.
Wow his last name is Conn 😂😂😂
I Love this show dude
american greed one of my top 10 shows!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Why do all of these stories seem to miss an ending, miss a chunk of the narrative, and cut straight to the sentence!
They're just snippets of the full episode. You have to either wait until a full episode is uploaded or watch it on the streaming channel it came from.
These are OLD! I was into this show heavy! It’s not the same even with this format. Bummer!
When are you coming out with NEW EPISODES ???? WE ARE ALL FANS AND WAITING...
*Once conman, always conman! Mom I get 20 years, but I'll only serve 10, and guess what? That's better than nothing! You can't make this up!!!😅😂*
Why does the voice-over say two thousand form instead of 2004? I've heard it twice so far, once at the very beginning.
Why not show the full episodes? It's very frustrating to watch just pieces of an episode
9:33 "piece of mind", wow.
100% return in 6 years with a policy insurance guarantee, what could go wrong. 😎
Love American Greed
I'm greedy for more episodes
Is this like a pool of life insurance to get a payout... Some people can surprise you and keep on living.
Backed by a Costa Rican company? Well then, that seals the deal.
For the last guy, why couldn’t the clients stick with the companies they were buying their gloves from before?
The millionaire lady should have watched The Billionaire Boys Club
She never checked the company, just saw flashy things, believed 100% return on premium and 🍴 forked it over.
How are these people stupider than me???
Does anyone else find it incredibly amusing that American Greed lets scam companies advertise all over their broadcast show😂. Can a show put themselves on?
No one can guarantee a 100% return
Conn lived up to his name as a con artist
$1M match. Too good to be true.
If your going to lose money .. do it yourself. Do not give your money to someone else.
Are the full episodes available. The editing seems to have been done by a deaf mute, These give you 30% of a story and then the ending???
Just investing in that type of business seems wrong. Why would you invest in someone’s demise?
Have you ever heard of the insurance industry?
This is unreal on the front. The first part is crazy to be legal.
Do a American greed on Walter white
I will never understand why anyone hands over ALL of their money to anyone let alone a perfect stranger. You spend your entire life working and just give this person $1 million bucks to supposedly double it! Insane.
I wish I was living in a van
You can invest all your money with those guys and you will be living in a van
@@JohnDoe-lx5rm😂😂
100% return? can the flag be any redder? 😂
Why, oh why, do people not realise that you NEVER put all your financial eggs in one basket (person or company)!
wow!
I'm getting frequent calls from 'Tom' in New Delhi selling sure thing solar power schemes. Im thinking of investing my life savings.
these short clips are stupid. post full episode or dont post at all
María Rosa's Family in Dominican Republic
I’d like to know how someone saves 1 million dollars to begin with, and after all that, just give it to slick strangers 😮
We've all been scammed before.. but yea she definitely should of Just put at least half of it in the S&P 500
Shouldn't really let people mess around with this kinda stuff
Businesses lease vehicles. Its not so odd. Hummers were a popular vehicle at that time.
32:02 is really sad
Lying to his elderly mother
She would probably never touch him again
Really sad
Don’t put all in one basket! Take 500 or 250k and put it in the S&P 500, VOO or VTI, or a fidelity fund that does the same. Never be impressed by what someone has or look like. It could be a mirage!
@ANC ABS-CBN News Channel, I look forward to similar news feature reporting series
All fae news orgs.. Go outside and get fresh air.
10 years is better than nothing
Scamming in other style, American way of life, Self made millionaire to be, as rapidly as possible😂😂😂😂
For the woman who got scammed, man, of the red flags were waving violently. Violently. She does seem very intelligent and she really fell for a clear, desperate scam to get her money. First, the Costa Rican Bank should have been its own flag. Second, they're going to put up their own million, nobody does that. I wouldn't believe that for a second. Last, the 100% guarantee is the biggest flag..
I would be more impressed if it was the H 1 Hummer not the GM version Hummer
Let's be honest people Conn did some good. We all heard the stories of people that SS rejected and Conn helped them get checks. The checks are not free money .These people worked hard when they were able body and paid into the system.
And they never explained the fraud. At least not on this video compilation. I figure it was bogus doctors.
You should do an episode on puff
When you see guys in an expensive car, that should make you think about how everyone is going to get rich off of this money.😊
She didn’t do her due diligence. All she heard was she could get 2 million
Barrons and Forbes tout the biggest sucker bets ever. I’d never trust those magazines.
Better call Saul=Better call Conn😉
If you have a million dollars, you are already invested. Why be greedy?
this sounds like trump, can't wait to see American Greed episodes trump and trump org!
21:11 A Trump Jr. commercial just popped up. He said he didn't have to send a lot of money.
The first step to successful investment is figuring your goals and risk tolerance either on your own or with the help of a financial professional but it's very advisable you make use of professional.
You just mentioned Expert Mary, Indeed, wow that woman has been an incredible mentor to me, imparting a deep understanding of the economy that I wish college had provided.
I know Mary, she has really set the standard for others to follow, we love her here in the UK as she has been really helpful and changed lots of lives.
Interesting! But I'm new here. How can I get to this person's guidelines??
She mostly interacts on Telegrams, using the user-name,
Conn Sounds like Donald Trump to me 😳😳🤣🤣
For Saturday
Sold for HIV Pos patients. However, the therapies were enabling patients to live.
She would have had more luck and less risk putting it all on black in roulette at the casino.
These guys were not like the traditional bankers . They liked nice cars and pretty woman . So most bankers chose yugos and ugly women ?
😊😊
Hold up are there really people on here trying to scam people after they've watched a show on scammers. If someone is telling you they made money on bitcoin just say no thanks it's a scam
An attonery called "Conn" .. like "Maddoff"
Hilarious and ironic that this dudes last name is “Conn.” I don’t care how it’s spelled, it’s ironic…or is it🤔
Nice tables 🥴🙄🤦♀️
Saul Goodman anyone?
