If you go back and watch the series and really pay attention to Mae and Osha you'll notice something. Mae is supposedly the bad guy, but she is empathic, loving and loyal to a fault. Her motivations always revolve around getting justice for her murdered family and kidnapped sister. She has no broader plan or agenda, and is clearly not evil. Osha, on the other hand, is positioned as the good guy, yet she is selfish, contrarian, heedless of the needs of others, and insistent on her own journey regardless of the harm it does to those she claims to love. I'm not sure that I would call her evil, but she does seem to be exactly the kind of person that would make an ideal candidate to join the Sith in order to pursue her own needs no matter how harmful that might be. Interestingly, when Qimir recruits Mae, all he needs to do is give her to the chance to seek justice for the wrongs against her family. Osha, however, requires a seductive approach that places her at the center of events as the main character, and where the man courting her acknowledges her as an equal. Osha was always the asshole.
Good to find a positive attitude from you all to this series, sadly i found you late on this episode, i liked a lot this series, not my favourite but better than most, it made a lot of sense with the approved canon and putting interesting things in from legends, i would've liked more longer episodes to get better context sometimes tough, keep rocking and stay safe....!

Great episode to end a decent first season. If the entire season felt like this episode, it would have been an amazing ride. I hope all the hate doesn't prevent a season 2, as I love how this wrapped up and look forward to what's next. Also, I love the thought of Darth Plagueis hiding in a closet or something as Qimir and Osha had their conversations in the cave!
@@Rob_Himself83 absolutely, if the tone and feel of the season was like this finale, it would have been amazing. I think they’ll do a season 2, some of these characters are going to become very popular.
23:14 I'm going to disagree. Like many Disney Plus projects, this series was told as though it was a novel; each week we were given one chapter of a much larger story except for the first week, which gave us a two-episode starter. We went into this series knowing it was a murder mystery, and in murder mystery fashion, we were left in the dark about many matters because that's how these genres work. Was that the best format for this series? I'll let you decide on that. I'm happy Disney is trying different forms of storytelling. The late reveal of Rayencourt was well-timed, in my opinion. We were told in episode 6 that he was working the Senate to force a vote on Jedi oversight. Why would he speak to the Jedi directly if he has no authority over them? The Jedi had the support of the chancellor and much of the Senate, so why would he show his hand before he had enough support to make them answer to the Senate? Having a senator friendly to the Jedi warn them of the pending vote was enough warning that got paid off two episodes later in the finale. 23:18 This is every other Star Wars story too. The difference between those stories and this one is that they had multiple movies or seasons while this is on its first. It spent time building up and introducing us to characters to raise the stakes, and while this season wasn't publicly greenlit for a season two we know from social media and the ending that Leslye Headland wrote the story with the hopes of being able to continue in the future. The characters she's already introduced and machinations already in motion allow her to pick up where she left off instead of having to start from scratch. I wonder if you'd feel differently about the pacing if you got to see it all in one go. I think each chapter told did the job it was supposed to do, which was tell the story of their specific chapters. I hope we get a season two. I wonder what format they'll take with the next season, surely they wouldn't follow up with another murder mystery.
I'm pretty sure the Plagueis cameo was tying in that he does indeed have an interest in the planet which ties into the book. Tenebrous is definitely his Master at this point, so Qymir and Osha would be considered competing darksiders there. If we don't get more seasons, I really hope they elaborate on this story in book form, since we know that the main Sith bloodline wouldn't tolerate these two.
Bazel (?) did what he did because he's loyal to the Jedi Order and Sol was going rogue. Qimir's ship only has two seats, so somebody had to stay behind. Plagueis and Qimir are most likely fellow apprentices of Darth Tenebrous. Plagueis is the "true" apprentice, and Venamis (Qimir) is the "false" apprentice. The story is happening at the point in Legends where Venamis goes rogue, and attempts to overthrow Tenebrous and Plagueis. It doesn't work because Tenebrous was always one step ahead of Venamis. One way to do that would be to have somebody keeping an eye on Venamis to find out what he was doing...perhaps like having his trusted apprentice Plagueis go spy on Venamis. While I think there were some story execution and directing issues in the first four episodes, I really feel like this is one of the better shows Disney has produced, and the first Star Wars property that handles specifically the Sith really, really well. We always get the Sith being a bunch of weird, deformed, masked assholes, but that makes no sense. Why would anyone become a Sith just to become twisted and evil, physically deformed and end up getting murdered by their own protege? It never makes sense, especially when you know that the origin story of the Sith involves them being desperate refugees fleeing from genocide at the hands of the Light side Force users on their own planet (there were no Jedi or Sith at that time, and both Light and Dark side Force wielders had always lived together without many issues until the sudden violent purge of Dark side users on Tython.) I feel like the character of Qimir does a really good job showing that the Dark side does, in fact, have cookies.
Imagine the man you loved as a father made you despise and hate you sister, killed your mother, your family, erased your culture, lied to you for years and at the confrontation still has the blunt face to not admit that he made a mistake and that he would do all over again, even more because he wants to prove his point! No wonder Osha didn’t even wanted to hear him, so much resentment, how can you trust someone like this again, she totally snapped pouring her raw hatred into the crystal! So cool that she is now a sith, with a bled saber, who was her masters saber, the same saber who killed her mother, such Sith themed start for her dark path! This show is awesome! Not perfect, but awesome, a breath of fresh air to Star Wars with some cool cameos and explorations of the rule of two and the hole “creating life” shenanigans palpatine used to lure Anakin into falling to the dark side too.

OSHA proved to be the real acolytes . She killed SOL , one of the most powerful Jedi without a weapon . She forced choke him to death , which is not easy on a Jedi master .
I do not think Beldock’s biosphere was wiped out by the hyperspace disaster. Master Indara raises this possibility early in this final episode. She was almost suggesting that there may not be a Vergence, at all. In an earlier flashback, Indara looked up at the moons and noticed that only one of them had a rocky debris ring. If the planet had been left lifeless, then it should also have a debris ring. That and the biosphere seems far too developed after only100 years of recovery. Was that dark pit a Vergence and the source of power for the witches? Or did the witches create it? They did say that they were on the run from persecution. Did they just happen to stumble across a planet with a dark side Vergence?
Taze Bazil, Jedi Buchemi, Sol stands for Shit outta luck......hahahhaha. lmao oh man. Also I think it was easy to wipe her memory because she was 100% willing to do it. Just my POV though..... Good episode but lots of filler between the good ones that could have been this good as well and covering different areas which would give us more info and attachment to the characters. 8 episode series shouldn't have two flashback episodes that are 80% the same that take up the whole episode. I really liked the finale and although I think the overall season coulda been touched up and changed a bit, maybe with a few less twists and turns. I do like some of the characters and interested to see where it goes. I am very interested in Osha's storyline to see how it plays out and really enjoyed how she turned to the dark side, I was hoping for almost that same situation. BUT I feel like this finale could have been a mid season episode and we would have seen so much more. I hope they get a second season and can just polish it up a bit more.
Loved this series...yes there were some clunky moments but overall I thought the series was good...and with the finale, I am interested in seeing where this goes, especially since getting the Plagueis reveal, him obtaining the knowledge to create life due to midichlorian manipulation because that is how the witches created Mae and Osha, and that knowledge is mentioned in Revenge of the Sith...I also think they set up the course of events leading to Order 66 down the line very well...because with Plagueis' intro as well as Yoda's we get both the Sith Master whose apprentice will rise and lead to the fall of the Jedi and the Rise of the Empire as well as the Jedi Grandmaster whose apprentice will rise as the hope for the galaxy, along with his twin sister, and bring to an end the tyranny of the Empire.
Overall liked the series and finale, amazing lightsaber fights, great characters in Sol and Qimir. Never really bought in to Osha & Mae, and found Oshas sudden switch to the dark side out of character. Mind wiping Mae after reconciling was weird. They did a good job of explaining the cover up..... but then Vernestra is gonna tell Yoda everything.... hate that! Lots of story to tell, so hoping for S2 Your reaction shows are the best, huge thanks 😁
