Literally from the day I saw her live performance in Glastonbury I knew what this woman’s mission was and it was nothing but to spread love. She gets dragged and dragged and dragged and she stands back up and says it’s okay I love me. She’s such a bright light and such a role model forreal…like imagine all the little girls and boys who see her smiling and continuing to be happy and letting everyone know no one’s gonna dim her light. …Reasons Why Lizzo’s Speech Sucked:
- Her speech to Beyoncé was literally a rip off of Adele’s Grammy ode to Beyoncé from 2016. She uses the exact lines “the way you make me feel” Adele: “the way you make me feel, the way you make my black friends feel..” “you are the artists of our lives” Adele: “you ARE the artists of our lives and we adore you”
- She failed to give a shout out to Michael Jackson as inspiration for the song she is literally winning a Grammy for - About Damn Time. Instead, she gives a shout out to his pop music rival Prince. What a slap in the face. About Damn Time = 2022 version of Rock With You. Look it up. It’s a shame newer artists are stealing/sampling and forgetting to give credit to older generation artists when it’s due.

Lizzo speeches always bring tears to my eyes! She speaks so much love, light and positivity in to her fans and the viewers. The beautiful energy that she puts out is so contagious. I’m so grateful for artists like her, I truly am ❤
