Thanks for taking the time to do this x
thanks very much for this...what a sensational and inspirational concert ! I had the pleasure of spending some time with Chick once. When we were parting he simply said "be great !" ...he certainly lived out that message himself. I still don't really get it that he has passed on... I hope he's in a 'great' place
Thank you, brother!
Thanks for doing this!!
Absolutely Fantastic!!
I've been following Chick since "Romantic Warrior", and he's done nothing but improve its what I think is tha greatest any-kind- of Jazz total best!!
I play some jazz piano, and have all his and most jazz music, bit Chick is the most versatile pianist I've EVER SEEN. I love him.
(I also loved watching him with Scott Henderson play "Kimg Cockroach"!!
People want to see REAL tallent on video!!
Sincerely, with the greatest of musical love, Scott Schulle.
I can listen to Chick Corea play forever. rip
This trio and the Jarret/Peacock/DeJohnette trio are my fave jazz piano trios...
wow, I totally agree with you, they are the best jazz trios of the last 40 years
Dude, Nobody is worthy enough to dislike this
That's right Beto, but there you go, the world we live in..
Thanks for your comment !
Despicable. I guess some people are just dead inside...
Nickleback fans
20 diiiiiickheeeeeaaaaads...lol...
Truly!
To all my friends, im norwegian and i cannot stress how proud i am for Chick and his fellow musicians having played many many times in my country.
A big part of it is, fans and demand. Norway, Switzerland, France and Japan all seem to appreciate jazz more than North America does.
Dave Weckl was ~29 years old here. Ridiculous craftsmanship. My all-time fave trio. RIP CC.
Rest in Peace, Chick... thank you for the music. We lost a giant...
He is real genious.
when he comes to Korea 2 months ago, i felt that direct in my head. Although he got about 75 years old, he was still young
God needed another star to burn bright in Heaven... and what a Masterpiece he took. I was blessed to have seen Chick three times through the years at the Detroit Jazz Festival, the last being in 2018. We just lost Mary Wilson of The Supremes, a very bad start to 2021. Their talent will live on in our, minds, hearts and played through our souls. Music... it never leaves us. Thank You Chick for sharing your gift with us, God Speed and enjoy the paradise of Heaven.
Do scientologists go to heaven?
'18 Jazz Fest was transcendent
@@patldennis No, Chick is the exception
Message was for Patrick Dennis
I was at that last Detroit Jazzfest that Chick was at. Remember the thunderstorms? The delay must have been over an hour and fifteen minutes. He came on after all that rain and made magic. His band was incredible! I'm so glad I was there.
Rest in Peace, Senior Chick.
It seems to be a higher performance than a regular live album. Awesome
it had always only been a question of time till Chick would give us his version of On Green Dolphin Street, a piece that has Latin written all over it, and has charming harmonies, which yet are very open to re-harmonizing.
One of the finest jazz pianists of the late 20th Century. Brilliantly creative jazz trio.. artistic genius.
Weckl is such a beast, my god… 🤯👍🏾👍🏾
I'm so proud to have met Chick in south Africa. Many many years ago. I asked him if one of his songs were double recorded. He looked at me and said no man that's one take. 🎉😂😊Rip 😢
Quartet No.3 is phenomenal!
Yes, the solos in that piece are fresh and brilliantly amazing, Also check out the great version of Quartet 3 on Chick’s Jazzgipfel concert with Tom Brechtlein on drums.
Priceless, exhilarating music. Thank you for posting it!
This concert is pure gold. I can listened 100000 times and always is like the first time.
Is, vere, defikall, na, senergastis, trio, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Soaring, transcendent, beautiful music 🎶 🎵 who elevates our souls from his creation. Btw i noted no thumbs down people refer to.
Mpravo, stin, orxistra, ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Apart from Weckl's playing (not to mention the amazing performance by this legendary trio), he (Weckl) had magnificent hair! 👋👋👋
R.I.P ......... HOW DEEP AND HOW LIGHT,DAMN
There is such a freedom in the groove with the most superlative technique is awe inspiring. While the beat is metronomic the freedom of stretching time, heard around that beat, is impeccable. Any thumbs down here would give a thumbs down to life, and truly illiterate to musical genius.
That's right Gary McAleer. many thanks for your comment.
So well said my friend!
Surprising.I can listen his young play! It is my emotional rescure. happy,
Gracias,Al quién subió este vídeo, para mi por lejos el !mejor trio de Jazz del Maestro Chick Corea, tremenda performance.
Los solos de Patitucci, tremendos. Pero gracias, tremendo concierto.
Attended two concerts of this fantastic trio, in 1986 (Elektric Band with F. Gambale) and in 2018 ! Always the same magic !
9:09 They grooved so hard that even after the song ended the audience couldn't help clapping in unison to the beat.
Proof of being great musicians: Putting on a concert like this. Proof of being great young musicians: Putting on a concert like this after a trans-Atlantic flight
We have lost an innovator and a pvianist that nurtured young talent, Hiromi, Austin
R. I.P. Chick corea 🙏😔😪
Excellent Work !
Awesome, awesome men. God bless you fine musicians. Blessed, awesome talent! Could not have picked better!
grand, immense, Chick!
Maestro...... 💔💔💔💔
Gracias por tu legado Maestro.
Heroes! Love them dearly
Holy cow (with all respect to sacred bovines), this trio was something else. The precision, nuance, and refinement is remarkable.
RIP Chick!
Sounds like Keith Jarrett trio. Wunderbar! Danke!
That wasn't Weckl's prime yet but oh my he made a legend of himself on his later years.
This is definitely Weckl's best period ❤️
@@steffenbrix
Nah, as incredible as this is, his live stuff with Mike Stern and Oz Noy is just on a whole other level.
Dios libre nuestros corazones de toda intriga y aprendamos humildad y seamos más misericordiosos
Amen! 🙏🏽🙏🏽
Merci. Quel bonheur !
Nene, Do not worry. Thank you for video. It is wonderfull!

Perfect... the best one !!!
John Patitucci, you are without a doubt the most handsome and awesome bass player I have ever heard man. You have made such a difference to the band. I am very proud of you John. Your musical ability have blessed many listeners and fans all over the world. Keep those awesome gifted hands from adulterating your gift. Play as though you were standing in front of God’s Throne and blessing Him with your awesome gift. John, a word to you from this minister, “You are afine, blessed, handsome and awesome musician. Watching you on these videos, you have such peace, yet heavy in concentration to make your gift so perfect man. Such dynamite playing dude. Keep up the good work.” I hope to get the awesome opportunity. To shake your gifted hand one day. Fine, fine young man John. May God’s Spirit rest upon you and your family man. God loves you so much Bro. John! You mean everything to Him man! Read Psalms 139 and see just what God thinks about you! It is the most awesome compliment God would ever give a child of His! You are a precious man John. You mean a lot to many people. God richly bless you and keep you covered under the Shadow of His Wing man. Love ya!
comment sounds gay....

Freaking "Sorcerers of Sound!!" 💥💯💥
AMAZING TRIO!
R.I.P. Master
Beautiful! thanks for the upload
Some people have audacity to say that Weckl don't swing. Ignorance is the blessing, i guess LOL
You are kind to say 'ignorance'
Chick picks Dave and stays with him for years all over the planet. Could be a signal, maybe, that the guy's got it?
Dave Weckl is a show off, but he can certainly pull it off every time. I think it was him that started that thing of displacing the beat by a sixteenth while still keeping track of the one. I kinda prefer a drummer that makes me giggle with delight rather than cower in reverence to be honest though. RIP Chick, great bloke - just ordered Hymn of the Seventh Galaxy on CD, which was a revelation at the time, as the vinyl's up in the loft.
@@musopaul5407 Chicks playing is cold? I dont think Al, John McL. Herbie Wayne and Gary (and other giants) will agree.....
@@musopaul5407 Off course it is all relative and personal. I listened to many great piano players and Chick is my favourite with the -warmest- sound

Oops and Beka G. His last is difficult to remember but he is from Georgia in the former Eastern Bloc
Demais, demais 👏👏👏!!!
Να ειναι ευλογημενοι για τα ταξιδια που μας πανε!!!😅
😍💥💫
That was a really short encore :)
The thing about Chick was his interpretative abilities. Check out Sophisticated Lady. Hard to hear unless you have s somewhat sophisticated ear. . And the top class instrumentalists he used thru his career had similar interpretive skills. Just a different level than any other band leader.
❤❤🙏🙏
The best Spain version.
This next song is by a little known artist named Dartanyan Thimbledick and it's called 'My Ass Hurts From This Piano Bench'.
I could live two lives of playing jazz and still only be half as good, if I was lucky.
♥Tky!!
Insane
Shepherd's Chapel Network !!!!!!! Pastor Murray is an Anointed Servant of GOD who teaches the Word of GOD with Authority!!!!!!!
Perhaps I am trite and bromdic but I know good jazz I hear one. This is a million dollar gig. I would very much to argue the 20 thumbs downs away. with no defiance. because It rolls over beethoven in his grave.
They're clapping very rhythmically lol
Corea é Gênio! Isso é indubitável!
🎨
This is the 'answer' to the Keith Jarrett trio and their 'Standards' gig, right?
Chick Corea Akoustic band, not Chick Corea trio
I miss that musician
I always saw A CHICOREA WITH ITS GROUPS DO IT ALL OF IT, VERY LITTLE CHEERLY SHARING ONLY AND IN THE DUOS, TRIOS OR TALKING, FOR HIM I SPEAK AS A GUITARIST, WE ARE ALL ACCOMPANYING, SERVERS OF ... IT IS NOT MY FRIEND CHIK WE ARE ALREADY ONE OLIVE PERSON AND YOU MUST INTERPRET THE EXPRESS ... TITO
Jazz is Love pass it on!
"New Yawk City" - thank you for using the local pronunciation 😂
Scheisse we all assumed he'd live to 100.

yo, even the crowd is in sync, wtf...
If Chopin heard this, he would have shot himself. Bravo.
Is there a metronome light for the audience or something, why is the clapping all in unison and in perfect time? Lol weird!
That's how clap in Europe when they really love something
Quem tá aqui pelo pipoquinha? Kkkk
