Amazon will have thousands of them working at their fulfillment centers.
Duuuuuh all businesses that can will….
Yeah they’ll take our jobs before we can buy one. They’ll be serving us food at the soup kitchen on Saturdays 😂
I’m going to use my Optimus to rob a bank and escape in my cyber truck.
No, if you want a large cash withdrawal you have to order the money and have a reason for the withdrawal. So there’s no large cash sums in bank these days.
@@mikewa2 a casino perhaps...
Or the hyperloop.
Just have it do it high tech at home job
You say the Optimus Bot can do all these things. Let us see it in action. Put one in a person's home and video its activities throughout a day.
Yep, I still think it's mostly useless and slow.
@@mikeblaz Slow is irrelevant - it can take all night cleaning the kitchen and all day cleaning the appartment when you are at work. Useless is more the thing - but I would not bet on 2025 for it not to start being usable. AI has a funny speed of development and Tesla finally has all the compute they wanted.
@@ThomasTomiczek They keep showing snippets. I want to see it clean the whole downstairs. Not push the vacuum once. I want to see it make the entire sandwich. .I want to see it cut the entire lawn not a still picture with it and a lawnmower. They are BSing this entire video. It's so far away from doing any of this...

Too bad we couldn't pay for the option of "no dumb youtube comments" for humans.
Lol

Elon Musk: "AI will destroy us all"
also Musk: "Hey, look at my new line of killer robots !"
~
Iam a parpleeagic and would like to know how to get on the waiting list for a Optimist robot.
Same!
I was in a wheelchair, but not anymore..!
I hope you get to experience busting out of your chair too..!!!
Thanks Elon..!
Elon is your man. I hope Neuralink will help your situation soon. "Neuralink is a brain-computer interface (BCI) device that Elon Musk's company hopes will allow people with paraplegia to regain movement. "
Sorry to say, you have a better chance of regenerating new limbs than waiting for this robot that will never be released.
Buy the hardware... and then sign up for your monthly subscription of :gardening, cooking, laundry, mowing expansion packs for this season. New skins coming soon.
Mods will be a whole new market.
You must have missed the part where they learn on their own.
The first victim of Optimus will be the group of people who made it then Optimus will replace all Tesla employees
I can see companies renting teams of these out as employees to other companies as substitute workers.
Or a flash mob, or an army perhaps....
And how would they be trained? Magic?
@@PSulitzer they are using virtual worlds for training where the AI will perform a task, millions of times before it even enters the real world. that learned skill is then saved like on a disk and installed on every robot, and they learn the skill in seconds just like in the matrix, you wanna learn kung fu they hit a few buttons. You now have the kung fu skill set. So once you have 50 robots, every one of them knows how to walk already. Every one knows how to pour juice. Every one knows how to do all the skills that they’ve already mastered one time with one robot. Then imagine that they have Bluetooth and they have a hive mind where the skill sets are housed in one cloud location, but they all have it. This is our future.
@@SJ-cy3hp We are doomed! LOL
That is what im going to do, I have my 20k saved right now
I want a robot made by Dewalt or Yamaha to help me on my property, I can handle my laundry and dishes. I want a chainsaw arm attachment, leg and arm extenders to reach the roof, and a fence post hole digger attachment. It needs to work in the rain and be able to wrestle any big feet that wonder through.
I am very interested in the Tesla bot for home assistance use. Where can I see one up close in use?
Nowhere. It doesn't exist.
Please tell me exactly what Tesla robot can do to help me? Specifically not in general?
Put more money in Musk's pocket while disappointing the customers who actually put money down for this parlor-game robot.
Just get him to run to 5 miles to the shops for you, then you don't need a car. Get him some WD40 as a reward.
Imagine if you did that and he started singing "If I only had a heart"
it will replace human job but how long 10 years or 20 years from now?
Just tell me how I can buy one and when they are available in UK.
Can I work on it to be me in memory, experience and support my wife like I do as a carer.
I’m saving to buy an Optimus and a Tesla 2 FSD. I need to get on a list!
We need a transformer bot, that morphs itself into a car, and then into a bot. A car that transforms into a bot. Optimus Prime is real!
I literally just said this after seeing my buddies little Electric BMD.. In the future, we could have a small car that has a robot built right in. The bot can come with us wherever we like. It completely makes sense. Less hardware with more useability
Even if these Optimus robots can bring your Courier boxes that will be more than what can be asked..plus prepare and serve food in restaurants, walk your dog, clean your homes. People or Companies can share such Robots to serve them all day around. Give it a rest of like 3-4 hrs intermittently for battery cooling.
I am, and have been waiting for a home help bot since I was a child, I am now 50 ha ha, I will buy one instantly.
That IS a hard question. Right now, I'll go for Optimus.
How will the robot handle the chaotic environment of a home with animals? We have dogs and cats that get underfoot and bump into us constantly. I could see the same with the robot. Looking forward to this BIG TIME!!!
there is no such thing as factory accident with a bot. If a bot gets crushed, just place another bot in its place. No issues. Bots being crushed is not the same as a safety issue as would be with a human. So, we should replace all humans wiht bots for safety.
What about the Teslabot that attacked a human working in the factory
'They' will replace all humans with robots. Humans make great fertilizer.
humans are not as great at making fertilizer as bots. Bots can do it all day everyday, but humans can only do it in a limited sense. @@greatcondor8678
And we humans can do what? Drive our cybercabs? LOL
I'd like to see how Optimus handles walking up stairs. Also, Can they make him stand up straight? It looks like it has bad legs or something.
I don't think it can walk stairs...
@@mikeblaz Yea, they will have to work on that.
A friend of mine was in a band called "Necromancer", killer group!
It’s stuck in Biden mode. 😅
If I had $20,000, I sure as hell wouldn’t spend it on a battery powered car or a robot……….!
So sick of these videos that play the same clips from other videos over and over with no new news
This is how Musk keeps people interested. Such pathetically gullible people.
Kinda over having to accidently read the same old complaining type of comments.
When will it reflect in my TESLA stock?
It already is. Why do you think the stock price is rising. Certainly not because of their sales and demand!
I wanna buy terminator you got any of them???
Its coming for sure.
I want one and ready, where do we reserve ??!!
Just call 1-800-TESLA-BS
For me I would much rather have a tesla robot because I need a help around the house because I have several chronic illnesses and would save me time to hire out things like lifting, grass cutting, dog walking, house cleaning, house painting etc. I would love to be one of the first to get one. I wonder if the government would subsidise my disabilities? cant wait.
Overlooking rental of these
Can't wait to own one .there amazing
Elon is going the PlayStation route because this is the generation to start putting them out 🤔
If robots are going to take over then we should create a system where the robot gets paid for the human who purchased and trained the robot,
Example my boss wants to replace me for a robot, I replace myself with a robot but only get 75-80% of my check only if I supply the robot.
If we put bots in jobs what will the humans do for work how will we pay our bills?
We work less and do more of what we like?
@@edwardenashllig1143 The ancient Greeks used slaves (not nice!) and dedicated themselves to other things.
I'd take the bot. I need a helper. People around my area don't wanna work lol.
@@edwardenashllig1143 I doubt that employers will make more money off robots I don’t think all the companies will allow us to stay home not make money to pay for things when we don’t have jobs I guess we’ll see
@@lghtskin36Amazon spent a billion on digit (humanoid robots) that are already working in their factory. A lot of people are already starting to be replaced.
Although Digit is slower than some humans, it can do 3+ shifts a day, and doesn't take lunch break, doesn't use bathroom, doesn't complain or stop working. never needs vacation days or time off.
Even if it's one payment of $250,000 (will be cheaper when they mass produce them) for one of them, it can work several years and is overall much cheaper than a human.
It's better at long marathons of work, doesn't get tired.
Eventually it will be as fast as a human, so when they are" better faster safer and cheaper " many companies will be purchasing them.
Super genial! Danke!😍🤗
Don’t forget about figure 1
FigureAI for the win
I can see to the advantage of Optimus in a factory/warehouse setting but for use as a carer in the confines of a home and the very extensive range of tasks needed I'm not yet convinced. What I saw in this video I would not pay even $5000 let alone $25000.
I am absolutely buying one as soon as they are available
It will also be a 24hour surveillance device watching and reporting on everything you do as it is connected to a mainframe via 5g
I remember people saying this was far off about 4 years ago despite Elon telling everyone things would drastically change within the next few years. It never ceases to amaze me seeing how people continue using the same old method of gauging where AI will be within the next decade, comparing it to the last decade, forgetting that the time that it is taking AI to reach the next level is also rapidly decreasing.
You're forgetting Elon's long and well documented history of lies and fake videos regarding the progress of his products.
I am not forgetting that I just don't believe it's related. He doesn't own the AI industry and I don't believe he had anything to gain by scaring people and telling them things were going to get weird. He was simply giving out warnings. You're acting as if he was talking about his own products by giving out warnings in regard to where society was headed.@@harrycooper5231

I don’t think anyone can fathom the real world implications of the technology in real world terms
Neither can Musk through his ketamine induced comas.
Fair price would be between 14K - 18K for the Teslabot.
Is Optimus replacing the people just fired at a charging facility.
If Elon says “it is my guess”
Take the 20K and multiply times 4x= 80K
What if I get Optimus and I have him drive the car. If there is a crash, can I just blame Optimus?
“Hey Optimus, good luck, grabbing an Uber, see you back at the Ranch bud.”
I'm expecting an IKEA version soon.
imagine ladies Optimus burning your forehead while ironing your hair. well that's a human
Consider. The avg 2-income family spends unbelievable amounts on day care. OR..... for a one-time outlay of $20,000 and voila! You have in-home daycare AND a tutor!!
Envision the possibility of possessing a personal robot, a marvel of technology that not only has the capability to generate income for you but also meticulously caters to your human necessities. This isn't just about a machine performing tasks; it's about having a reliable companion capable of understanding and addressing your needs, whether they're financial or related to your personal wellbeing. Imagine a world where your robot can seamlessly integrate into your daily life, managing tasks that range from investing your money wisely to ensuring that your living space is comfortable and your lifestyle is healthy. This concept transcends the traditional view of robotics, offering a futuristic vision where technology enriches your life in a comprehensive manner, covering both your financial ambitions and your innate human requirements.
Contact Boston Dynamics and see when their robot will be sold. That is your only chance to get a real robot.
When he says $20,000 it will more than likely be around $50,000 easily when you look at the price trends of the new tech "suspected prices" vs the real ones that come out.
can't wait to see one
Once they get the parts on an assembly line, there shouldn’t be a reason why it can’t be less then 25k. The AI program is what will cost a lot like FSD is 12000 dollars! I bet musk will charge per chore performed. Vacuuming will be $1000. Make a sandwich 5000. Scrub toilets 10000. Unlocked version 100,000
EXHIBIT THEM IN ACTUAL HOMES 🏡
Tesla will NOT be selling Optimus for $20K, not even close, not for a long time. Demand for the bot at $20K would VASTLY outstrip demand. Tesla will instead lease Optimus bots likely for around $150K a year because that will be the price the market will bear while selling out their inventory. It will be insanely profitable for Tesla. They will use those profits to invest in perfecting and expanding both the bot's capabilities and their manufacturing capacity. Over time as production increases, the bots will "very gradually" come down in price. Not incidentally this much higher lease price will ease the labor market shocks and give society time to adjust.

Invest heavily in Tesla and never look back!
It's better if the bot can do more specialize task that cost alot of money to hire people to do the jobs, perhaps it can retile the kitchen...
Didn’t Tesla have to admit that the video they posted of it folding a shirt was fake? There was a guy just off shot controlling its every move 😂
Here's what I found out: 1. The video footage was real. 2. The robot really did fold the shirt, but 3. Musk then said it wasn't an 'autonamous action', which just means that this action has to be triggered manually at the moment
We have roombas? we have yard roombas. Cooking and Cleaning is really the only value this offers + of course maintenance & troubleshooting when it inevitably will break and not work. OR you could pay a maid service for like $300/m to do basically the same.
It's almost like humans are still cheaper...
It is novel and overpriced for what it does but is still pretty neat.
So basically, Optimus or some other bot is going to take over every job in the world. Yep, still want one for my home.
AI and its Impact on Society
Oct 31, 2023
We must ask ourselves, "What will happen when AI has taken 85% of jobs present today? What will we do? How will we eat and survive without incomes from jobs or other means?" What is disturbing is that while AI is taking these jobs, the gov't and the corporations have not done ANYTHING to prepare us for an AI'ed civilization. They have not said anything about major retraining of an entire economy to something else, and they have not followed up on a discussion of universal basic income. This is supposedly supported by a lack of information in the latest government budgets submitted and approved as reported by some UA-cam videos.
It appears that the US gov't and the corporations intend to kill off the majority of Americans passively, through starvation from lack of income to buy food. (check and see if farming production is declining or will start to decline ahead of the "starvation phase") (also check to see if the "makeup" of robot equipment allocation would change to reflect a trend away from retail and services for the masses, possibly indicating an extinction of the American public - this means taking a robot from Chipotle and repurposing it for some other job not related to the public, or scrapping affected robots to be remade for some other purpose that has nothing to do with the public)
This way, there are only enough people alive to get some things done, and the rest is done by AI, and the survivors who planned this can claim the whole country for themselves. Imagine having an estate mansion half the size of a mall on several dozen thousand acres of land, and robots would be used to maintain and clean the estates and do the farming FOR THE ESTATE OWNERS. The White Man's wet dream of civilization. What will the Native Americans south of the US border do when they see this coming, especially when they can buy firearms now? Hopi prophecy...
I find it interesting the Tesla Optimus resemble the robot in the movie
I ROBOT. Does this mean they will be controlled by a Super Quantium computer network. All using Star Link. Think about it. Goodby to the MacDonald 20 dollars a hour work when the Robot only cost 5 dollar a hour and is paid off in 3 years or less
Optimus will need to be leased to industry with enough revenue/tax to help with UBI funding as it replaces jobs.
In other words, the bot may be cheap, but as you subscribe to tasks and functions you want your robot to have, that’s where the money will be made. Think of apps for our phones. Apples apps bring in more money than the phones themselves.
Are you kidding me thinking that far ahead for a robot that can only walk like a two-year old. Are you people truly tis gullible?
@@PSulitzer Talking about well into the future, not tomorrow. And who are you referring specifically when you say “you people”? Educated optimistic innovators? So what does that make you? Uneducated, pessimistic person that doesn’t want any change or innovation?
Less then 20k? Ha, maybe in 20 years. First adopters will pay for the future adopters. Rich get first dibs
I may buy one if I can name it Rosie 🤔
We need the robots, younger generations have a different outlook on manual labour.
Well if its features get dumbed down repeatedly over multiple updates like my Tesla, it's a no brainer. No Way.
The thing is, fear will keep you from being an early adopter. You also won't get the advantage of learning how to use it effectively in your situation. You'll need to learn from others over time. Nothing wrong with that though. It's just less effective.
Yea I saw the video where it can just barely walk in a strait line
It’s just like fsd it’s no where near where elon says it is as he’s a lying salesman
This is good.
not to sound rude, But stay at home mothers or dads that fold clothes as their daily chore, that is pushing them out of a task.
Thank you so much for sharing appreciated…
Tesla Bots will be together with another Models on the market a Great opportunity which will give an Amazing boost on the economy by applying many kinds of tasks which is a not safety measures..
As the same on Steve Jobs PCs McIntosh back on that Era he said about everyone will be an owner of a PC and yes around just in 10 years many people had one… then you see all Boom on millions of Computers almost all across the Planet….Tesla Bots set same way and even Better….by sharing also with another tech systems with a different companies…
The results of that Persons will be more successful on their Lives by given total attention to their wellbeing and joy period…
Walk in Beauty and Gratitude…
I would rather have the Tesla bot save me hours of time each day then a car which I would use occasionally and would not save me more time then a normal car that I already have.
There IS no question: Bot. If Elon can get Optimus into a few thousand homes in America with enough knowledge to understand "Prompt"-level instruction, the whole fleet will become consumer-ready in a single update, one of its greatest features. But what will be a FAR BETTER OPTION for now is to LEASE one. This is the kind of tool that early-adopters LOVE until two iterations down the road. Once the bugs are ironed out, THEN purchase. But a business would buy their own at quantity discount...
I DO picture Elon offering an "Estate Pak - four Optimus bots and a Redwood for $100 -, the bots first assemble the car, then drive it to you from the factory...
Lease then a few years in buy a used one, bargain !
I think when robots are able to make more advanced robots without human assistance, will put us humans in a vulnerable position.
Hopefully someone has to oil them
We will destroy ourselves long before that is possible.
Teaching children a real benefit to family unit !!!
Elon stated in 2022 that Tesla Optimus would be available to purchase in 3-5 years. At the 5 year mark, that is 2027. The U.S. better get ready for a real UBI program based upon a taxation program per Optimus hour usage. Businesses would work them around the clock and make a huge profit, the increased hours would raise the funds to pay for U.B.I. and the economy would grow. The Federal Reserve Bank would do great with a thriving economy and not have such pressure from Congress. The U.B.I. would have to be based upon the national average income in order to not tank the entire economy. If people want to work they still can, and make more than the national average income. Tesla will make a fortune and Elon will be the most successful businessman ever.
we old people need a robot gardener
they will great for older people as care givers...cooking, cleaning, helping with meds, reminder for appointments
@maxmccammond8914 true but at 90 and 82 we mainly need a gardener and I am wondering how it will do in a dirty environment.
I hope Optimus puts all the people that made it, OUT OF WORK! by taking their jobs!
Where is SARAH CONNOR?🤔
Tesla Optimus can also crush your skull while you’re sleeping. “Tesla Optimus. It’s just a matter of time…”
