I’ve always loved Vetiver and happily wear JCEllena’s “masculine” Terre d’Hermes parfum. Rose, however, is a note I’ve struggled with for the reasons you both outlined. But as you mentioned, Radical Rose is a stunning example of a bright, modern use of the note and gets credit for helping me change my mind! (That and Portrait of a Lady … wowzers!😍)

You gentlemen are superb. A fragrance that lasts a couple hours is just fine. Wearing elegance vs letting everyone know you are there makes a big difference. Makes the man more sophisticated. I know to each their own, but fragrance truly completes the man getting dressed.

Off the cuff, I would strongly recommend to you, gentle fluidity, silver, and masculine Puriel; both of these fall into that very strong, masculine woody aromatic category

Nicely explained but I don't know if I ever would go that route, I found out I'm not really into the green stuf like sospiro - basso. I just acquired BDK - Sel d'argent and Wilgermain - Aquafortis.
From the 2 that you recently purchased I can see that you love the more citrus/vibrant/aromatic style of fragrance's...so yeah, the only one that would be close to this is the Creed Original Vetiver; the other 2 will not be your style. Awesome to hear from you @sonny_z900💫

I got a notification in the mail that something was coming my way in the post but I didn't order anything, Fugazzi sent me their new sample of 'Nocologne' , they consider me a member of the brand. I have not tested it yet.

I’m similar to Michael,however the ambers are fine on me but the ouds turn acrid and literally poopy, the longer it sits, it gets progressively putrid to my poor olfactory system . Love Michael; Rose and Bondage gear,,,, Im dead 😂😂. I purchased the Costume Nationale, I spray it on hubby’s work shirts, I love it on him .

Im just getting into rose my favoite so far is lyric by amouae i also own santal majescule by serge lutens thats got rose in it i have not smelled to many rose fragerances so these 3 i will try to find a sample in the usa .

Guerlain Vetiver is too harsh. Maybe it's the tabacco. Creed Original Vetiver is much smoother and not offensive like most Vetiver fragrances out there. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDT is also terrific. The EDP version is way too spicy and heavy.
Haven’t had a chance to experience the Guerlain version… But I do love Creed,’s Original Vetiver. The one that really impressed me in this lineup was Mythique Vetyver by Mizensir… if you ever get a chance to test this one out, I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on it Great to hear from you @jonburrows9816
Massive difference Ilias. Zaharoff Rosé is beautiful and subtle, whereas Rose Incense is rich, deep and soulful....both beautiful but very different to each other. Also Amouage are famous for the frankincense and myrrh (from Oman) and this fragrance celebrates that heritage Next time we catch up at Oligarch I'll bring it along so you can test side by side
@@TheNicheFragranceCollector thank you, I bought the Library discovery set at Libertine where they seem to know you and about to pull the trigger on Tobacco Royal for Christmas. I recently got “introduced” to Amouage and I love their baseline of Frankincense and Myrrh. To me they both seem to have very much similar frankincense smell you find in a Greek church with the rose more pronounced in Zaharoff’s. Me thinks I need nose training and quickly, maybe I can moonlight at Oligarch cleaning shelves or the bottles, start at the bottom and work my way up.

Off the cuff, I would strongly recommend to you, gentle fluidity, silver, and masculine Puriel; both of these fall into that very strong, masculine woody aromatic category

Nicely explained but I don't know if I ever would go that route, I found out I'm not really into the green stuf like sospiro - basso. I just acquired BDK - Sel d'argent and Wilgermain - Aquafortis.
From the 2 that you recently purchased I can see that you love the more citrus/vibrant/aromatic style of fragrance's...so yeah, the only one that would be close to this is the Creed Original Vetiver; the other 2 will not be your style.

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector Thank you for commenting. If i'm able to test out creed I will do that. The other day I mentioned Fugazzi and the funny thing happened to me. I got a notification in the mail that something was coming my way in the post but I didn't order anything, Fugazzi sent me their new sample of 'Nocologne' , they consider me a member of the brand. I have not tested it yet.

I am trying Rose Insence, and apart from the rose, it reminds me a lot of Baraonda.
I know that Baraonda does have a divine rose note....interesting that you're getting that vibe from Rose Incense♥️🌹
I’m similar to Michael,however the ambers are fine on me but the ouds turn acrid and literally poopy, the longer it sits, it gets progressively putrid to my poor olfactory system . Love Michael; Rose and Bondage gear,,,, Im dead 😂😂. I purchased the Costume Nationale, I spray it on hubby’s work shirts, I love it on him .

Im just getting into rose my favoite so far is lyric by amouae i also own santal majescule by serge lutens thats got rose in it i have not smelled to many rose fragerances so these 3 i will try to find a sample in the usa .

Guerlain Vetiver is too harsh. Maybe it's the tabacco. Creed Original Vetiver is much smoother and not offensive like most Vetiver fragrances out there. Tom Ford Grey Vetiver EDT is also terrific. The EDP version is way too spicy and heavy.
Haven’t had a chance to experience the Guerlain version… But I do love Creed,’s Original Vetiver.
The one that really impressed me in this lineup was Mythique Vetyver by Mizensir… if you ever get a chance to test this one out, I’d be curious to hear your thoughts on it

Marcelo what are your thoughts on Rose Incense compared to Zaharoff Rose, which is my favourite in his range?
Massive difference Ilias. Zaharoff Rosé is beautiful and subtle, whereas Rose Incense is rich, deep and soulful....both beautiful but very different to each other.
Also Amouage are famous for the frankincense and myrrh (from Oman) and this fragrance celebrates that heritage

@@TheNicheFragranceCollector thank you, I bought the Library discovery set at Libertine where they seem to know you and about to pull the trigger on Tobacco Royal for Christmas. I recently got “introduced” to Amouage and I love their baseline of Frankincense and Myrrh. To me they both seem to have very much similar frankincense smell you find in a Greek church with the rose more pronounced in Zaharoff’s. Me thinks I need nose training and quickly, maybe I can moonlight at Oligarch cleaning shelves or the bottles, start at the bottom and work my way up.
