    In oxy-hemoglobin, Fe is in oxidation state +3 i.e. d5 electronic configuration. Even if it is a low spin complex, one electron is still left unpaired, then why is oxy-hemoglobin diamagnetic?

    Assam and Tripura are burning. Students are on roads protesting against CAB to save their culture and language. We are under kind of house arrest,as curfew is here and military march everywhere . And 15th december is so near. I am not sure if students from this part of the country will be able to seat for NET or not.
    Please pray for us.

    In one of your video based on inert and labile...u said that d8 is labile. but according to CFAE, it's inert. Correct me if I m wrong.

    • @panchhi97

      It's inert ...

    • @chemcontrast1994
      @chemcontrast1994 5 років тому

      Yes..but in that video,he marked it as labile.

      @@panchhi97 can u plz explain it ?

    • @panchhi97
      @panchhi97 5 років тому

      Yaa i can explain but it is something related with experimental values of change in CFSE during intermediate formation which is negative and that's why it is inert which i can't explain totally without pen and paper ...so remember d3,d8,d6 are highly inert ...while d4 and d5 are inert when they are low spin ...
