      No I have not, it seems a bit sketchy to me, it's probably fine but I am friends with several people with small craft companies and their designs keep getting ripped off by sellers there so I have stayed away. I figure if they will steal designs then what stops them from stealing credit card numbers. I am probably just paranoid and I am sure there are reputable sellers there but I don't want to risk it.

    Love your videos!!!!
    Sometimes I use the nail pens that I find at the dollar store for paints. I make sure to clean the out really well and refill them with my paint of choice :).

    Thanks for checking these out for everyone. I loved the refillable aspect and think they'd be fun to use with peg stamps as long as I wash them right away...Just a thought. Sandy

    I'm getting the 30 pack and it's good to know about the black marker. But I may invest some clear lacquer

    If you have cure it in the oven, does it better to have sealant on to make it permanent? And even if we have cure it, can the mug be handwash suing sponge or dish soap? 😊

      This product is no longer available so I recommend folk art enamels or Pebeo porcelain 150 which you have to paint on with a brush but is very durable and won't come off with hand washing after heating or curing for 3 weeks.

    I spray painted an old rural mailbox and now want to add decorations. It will be used outdoors. Will acrylic paint markers work, and will they stand up without fading if a clear coat is sprayed on top of design?

    Have you used the Mod Podge Dishwasher Safe stuff? It’s specifically for food stuffs and ceramics i think. I make my friends coffee mugs (for decoration not use) and thought this Mod Podge type might let them be usable. Any idea?

    Lindsay, thank you for the video. I appreciate your showing us all that you do. Your instructions and videos are very helpful. I have a question about baking tiles. We have a small gathering of women that meet twice a month at our local museum, and we try different crafts/activities. We were all impressed with alcohol inks, but can't get them to stay on the tiles. We have let them dry for over 24 hours, let them dry spray lightly with a clear spray, and we haven't been able to get the ink cured. Could we bake the tile with alcohol ink, then spray it lightly?
    thank you

      +Sandy Poteet I have used krylon triple thick glaze over alcohol ink and it worked well. Baking didn't seem to make alcohol more durable.

    How do you think these paints would hold up on ceramic tile if baked & then covered with a clear paint/varnish?

  • @MDCampbell
    @MDCampbell 6 років тому

    Kind of an odd question, but I wonder if you can bake these while you also cook food? I mean, let's say you throw them in the over to bake along with an eggplant parm? Would there be any chemical cookoff that would get into the food? I'm thinking hypothetically, of course, but it just got me wondering. Anyway, terrific info, as always! Cheers! :)

      +M.D. Campbell I wouldn't because acrylic paint is technically a plastic.

    these are awesome! I love the simple flowers, so sweet they are graphically very effective, the least amount of line work but a high visual impact! The cup was gorgeous! I think i need coasters! You always bring us such a variety of brilliance! I always learn something!~~

    Hi! I like your video it's really informative.. I just have one question.. I hope you can help me out.. You see we don't have oven at home so I was wondering if I could use hair dryer instead to cure the paint on the ceramic? Thanks in advance!

    • @thefrugalcrafter
      @thefrugalcrafter  6 років тому

      I don't think that will be hot enough but you can get ceramic paint that can air cure for 21 days. Folk art enamels is a brand I like.

    Wow that's really cool I don't have any acrylic markers yet going to get some whenever I can. On a fixed income but think I could do some fun crafts with them. I have 11 grandkids whenever they come stay I have the older ones put away their electronics and we either do a craft or bake something or both. Am disabled so hard to buy stuff for my coloring keeps me from going stircrazy when unable to get out for weeks at a time whenever I can go to garage sales or goodwill get things really cheap I think they might enjoy making got to have them as often as I can getting older won't have time for grandma oldest 2 are 16 youngest is 5. Thank you for all your awesome ideas. You are so talented I would of never figured it out how to get them to work. Such a cute mug you did. Hope you have a Happy Thanksgiving. Looking forward to seeing your next video. I have saved most of yours since I found you so once I get more supplies be able to try them. 😃

      I meant creating alcohol ink backgrounds w alcohol ink. Do I️ need the alcohol mixative or can I️ use what I️ have? I️ just see the trend being super popular but I’ll take a marker video too!
