Actually, Sanji's bounty makes sense. Queen was invisible during the fight and Sanji moved so fast Mice Girl didn't even notice when the fight was over. Zoro at least participated in the roof battle so even if there were no witnesses to see his fight with King he got a ton of recognition
Roof battle only have recognition for Luffy, Kid and Law increase thanks to Big Mom and alliance against Yonkous, if roof is so importante i want to see Killer bounty
I like to think that Franky's bounty showing the Sunny is a foreshadowing of Him deciding to just go all the way and turn the boat into a transforming robot. Imagine it, Mecha Thousand Sunny doing the Franky Super! Pose.... glorious.
A little bit of real-life pirate lore. In a pirate crew there were two major positions: The Captain and the Quartermaster. While the captain has the leadership in combat, short-term decision and needed to be a strong fighter. The Quartermaster had the leadership around financial, logistic, supplies and general businesses decision. They had the most authority after the captain and most important: They have the right to punish men for not obeying commands. Nami is the Quartermaster of the crew and she punishing everybody in the crew for being stupid, is literally her job!
Funny how some really important pirate positions like these never came up in One Piece. But hey at least they have a musician which was one of the highest honored positions in a crew.
To add Luffy as monster trio does not do him justice especially he’s a legendary figure now, so i agree that the new monster trio is Sanji Zoro Jinbei. I still bitter that Jinbei has a higher bounty than Sanji especially when Sanji just beat the no.2 comander while jinbei just beat a toby roppo.
Part of me loves the idea that Brandnew is a power scaler who, when questioned on bounties, just insists that “there’s no way x is stronger than y, so there bounty must be lower” and has similar such arguments as the actual fan base with other marines
@@anthonycortes868 he's the guy who decides the bounties, we always see him talking to a group of high ranking marines and explaining the new bounties of pirates, he's done it since luffy beat arlong and maybe earlier
To be fair, the world government was once in command of mihawk's might, so they know better than anyone that having mihawk as a "subordinate" isn't in any way the same as having any amount of control over it. So I'd say it makes sense to have mihawk's bounty higher

My thought process is: Mihawk being one of the leaders of Cross Guild has access to all the resources that they can offer, ON TOP of the marines KNOWING how powerful he is AND that he used to hunt Marines. Which is why his bounty is so damn high
@@dazel3412 , Nami has the leadership skills on the seas unlike how Luffy and Zoro have the leadership skills on land, so I guess in a way you can say that Zoro, Jinbe, and Sanji are the Commander Monster Trio; Luffy being the Emperor Captain of the Land, and Nami as the Vice Captain of the Seas.
It's actually not that different from real examples of pirate crews, the captain had total authority in battle but the quartermaster was in charge of the day-to-day operations of the ship.
I honestly dont know what was more satisfying this chapter. Seeing the long-awaited and perfect bounty increases of the straw hats. Or seeing Buggy finally get his just desserts from his dumb luck streak.
10:05 I’m positive that 90% of us came to the conclusion that the the monster Trio now are Jimbei, Zoro, Sanji Luffy is at a level beyond that and Oda is kinda agreeing with it as well because he been demonstrating it as Yonko Luffy and his 3 top commanders
Well it makes sense. Part of the reason it was so high in the first place is because the Vinsmokes wanted him alive. But if they've cut ties with each other now his bounty represents his own feats alone (which is some cool character development, he's truly his own man now)
i imagine that at one point, the Straw Hats could get captured for their bounties, and the hunter just dismiss Chopper, and then he rescues then or something, but seeing their strength level, and more "mature" One Piece gets, i don't think something like that would happen

If anyone was strong enough to capture the straw hats, Chopper wouldn't stand a chance at saving them alone (even if Franky was also under the radar) I also think it would be bad writing to have the crew be overpowered/captured when they're all together at this point in the story. It would make them look incredibly weak
Sadly we're too far into the story for that to be even feasible. Bounties at this point are a way for Oda to display their threat to the World Government. The idea of powerful bounty hunters going after the Straw Hats never really materialized unless it was a joke situation.
@@stardestroyer19 Bro Bounties are based a lottt more on influence over time over the entire world and Jimbei most definitely has many more accolades than Sanji. It is influence > feats > strength when it comes to Bounties. Also Jimbei is the best anti-DF User with him being able to water bend sea water and normal water (which can still negatively affect DF Users if enough of their body is submerged in fresh water according to Oda).
My first reaction to Sabo calling, especially since it was shown that the Marines were tracing the call, is that it is not Sabo. My immediate thought went to Catarina Devon who can transform into other people trying to set up the Revolutionaries and lead them and possibly the Marines into a trap. You would think with how the Revolutionaries operate they wouldnt be so easily tracked.
Sabo did not say he killed Cobra clearly Sabo set up world govt killed cobra because he asking about 100 year void century since he was dying and would not live another 4 years for next world govt meeting of royals.
I think that the Straw Hats are going to have to meet up with the Revolutionaries soon. If Vivi is with Sabo then we get the Straw Hats reunion with her and Franky may be the best suited person (other than Vegapunk) to undo what has been done to Kuma.
If you add up the combined bounties of the new Straw hat bounties and known Straw Hat Grand Fleet bounties it is over 10 billion berries. This makes Luffy’s crew one of the highest bounties, second only to the Animal Kingdom pirates which based on known bounties is 799,099,000 berries greater. Considering that the Staw Hat Grand fleet bounties have probably gone up as well, Luffy’s crew possibly has the highest combined bounty of any active crew.
My shocking bounty reveal was definitely Robin. Was anyone expecting her bounty to be so big. Like she's nearly at a Billion. The government is giving her the respect she deserves for the danger she is.
Nico Robin helped Luffy achieve his goal in becoming the next Emperor of the Sea, and eventually becoming a Pirate King surpassing Roger, White Beard, and Xebec, so it’s no wonder that Robin’s bounties are now going to reach the billions to trillions of berries in the End Game of One Piece.
@@roxeze I mean definitely but that seems standard at this point. A lot of the crews bounties seem a little lower than they should be. I partly think this is because they're still a new crew, like Kaido, King and Queens bounties were so high because they had been at large for so long. Like every year they were a pirate their bounties get like an increase regardless of specific events maybe.
To be honest since Enies Lobby, I was expecting her to have top 2 highest bounty in the crew. She is literally a survive of a buster call; a decent devil fruit user and she is literally one of the few people left who can dechiper the polygliffs which can led to the downfall of the WG and celestial dragons
I think you can see it as Zoro, Sanji, and Jinbei being Luffy's "top 3 commanders" now that he is a Yonko, but also I think the main core of the new Yonko system is just the main crew being commanders and the rest of their giant fleet followers haha
I always assumed the Monster Trio wouldn't be disbanded, just restructured. Instead of Luffy/Zoro/Sanji, it's now Zoro/Jinbei/Sanji. Luffy's three Yonko commanders
This is only true to two piece readers. The straw hats are like, The Red hair, Rocks, BB, and Roger pirates where the crew is strong and certain crew members are relative in strength to their captain, especially the partners/vice captains. Your thing only works if you think the straw hats crew setup is more like Kaido's, WB's, and Big moms where the commanders even the right hands are far weaker than their captain, which isnt how the pirate kings crew is built.
@@nirmayalama5522 I think it comes down to Jinbei and what he also has done. man blocked a FULL dead on attack from Akainu pre getting into that fight with Aoikiji. that was aimed with killer intent at luffy. Jinbei blocked that Shit before Marck came in to help. yes, Zoro is FAR stronger then Sanji and Jinbei due to him scarring Kaidou. but Sanji and Jinbei certainly are relative.

In an SBS from some time ago, Oda drew the good and bad timelines for Franky, and in the bad end he had completely turned his body into a battleship. I felt like that might be a tease that he will end up morphing the Sunny into a giant robot that he pilots, at some point, because that's such a Franky thing to do. The two opponents I could see this being used against are the Pluton, another (probably) battleship/construct, and San Juan Wolf who's enormous and is known as 'the colossal battleship'. So now when i see the Sunny used as Franky's bounty picture, I feel like Oda's validating my theory a bit. I also feel like Mihawk's bounty before freezing was really high, maybe around 3 billion even. If his epithet was 'Marine Hunter' (or 'Naval Hunter') he may have killed some important figures before he chose to become one of the Shichibukai, and that might have just been from laziness and not wanting to be chased around anymore. It would make sense for him to have a really high bounty as taking him in would have been a priority for the Marines, so as not to lose any more of their key personnel. So Buggy gets a huge bounty increase because he 'commands' Mihawk now but the Marines also know that Mihawk could just up and leave when he feels like it, they've worked with him long enough, and if he goes solo again he might be more aggressive and ambitious and just start killing every Marine he comes across. And they have very few people that they feel can be sure to take him down. I saw an idea in another video that the person that killed Cobra, and also the 'Sabo' that makes the call at the end of this chapter, is actually Catarina Devon pretending to be him. And this is setting up a big punch-fight between the Revolutionaries and the Blackbeard pirates, and maybe the Marines will join in.
Yes!! I was hoping someone would comment on the future franky timeline! I think that was definitely foreshadowing that the next ship the strawhats will be on will be Franky himself. Or at least that the thousand sunny will be converted into BF-number whatever.
It makes PERFECT sense that the strawhats's bounties are lower than many of their defeated opponents; remember, bounties represent THREAT LEVEL, not STRENGTH. Sure the strawhats, @ this point, can beat just about anybody they choose to focus on, but they're not known for wanton destruction & conquest; hence the government doesn't view them to be as big of a threat as their defeated predecessors, who WERE about that life. Same reason why Shanks's bounty was relatively low, compared to his yonko contemporaries; he can kick mad ass, but prefers to chill, unless provoked. More than once the govt. has actually referenced this in the story. Similarly the strawhats's strength lies not just in their combat ability, but also their individual potential(s) to be unprecedented game-changers, in their respective ways. But generally, they're not bothering anyone.

I think Vegapunk himself programmed Kuma to follow Dragon once they meet again. After all, Vegapunk allowed Kuma to protect Sunny-Go until Strawhats' return. I believe the greatest scientist might not be that loyal to World Goverment.
Interesting point. Normally, when Luffy beats someone with a higher bounty, his new bounty is higher than the one he defeated. Zoro and Sanji's bounty are lower that King and Queen's respectively...
I’m thinking Sabo was framed and he’s calling with Vivi because he rescued her since Kobra’s killer would have gone after her too. I do love the bounty jumps all around, but now o have to worry about Blackbeard since he may be due for an upgrade.
I realized as I read this chapter. That we have never truly and freely gotten to see jimbei interact with the rest of the Strawhat crew. I'm slowly accepting we might not get any more strawhats. Period. Because if we do, that focus we don't get on all the individual strawhats in arcs gets even more dispersed. But if it's just a delay and Yamato / carrot will join later... I think it was because Oda wanted to give Jimbei his moments of integration. And didn't want to drop 2 to 3 new dynamics into the crew simultaneously. I do not think Sabo killed Cobra. I think he stumbled on someone else killing Cobra and trying to Kill Vivi. And escaped with her. And I think they are pinning it on him.
This was one of those things I didn't really want Yamato to join the crew for the fact we just got jimbei. And honestly as much as I love luffy following the footsteps of Roger, I love that it's not the same story and his own true journey with his unique crew.
Jimbei was already on level 6 and was released; his bounty right after that was 438 million, so I think level 5 is 100 million to about 400 million, and level 6 is about 400 million and up. Because of that, I think Nami, Brook, and Franky would all be on level 5, and then Usopp, Robin, Sanji, Jimbei, Zoro, and Luffy would all be on level 6
I think Sabo did it… At least I would love him to have done it, because it would add a whole new layer his character and set up him and Luffy for a huge conflict. But as far as One Piece goes, Sabo was probably framed and he needs to clear his name somehow
Yeah no, 99% chance that there was a chaotic moment at the Reverie caused by the Revolutionary Army (probably in the attempt to free Kuma), someone (possibly one of the Celestial Dragons or even a Gorosei with orders from Im) use the chaos and confusion to try to assassinate Vivi, but Sabo and/or Cobra intervene, Cobra dies as a result and Sabo is captured, leading to the attempt being pinned on Sabo and the revolutionaries as the culprits. Also calling that the revolutionaries managed to get Vivi out which is why we haven't heard anything from her. She knows the truth of what happened but obviously couldn't stay at Marejois (this could be where Sabo intervenes, seeing Cobra die and jumping in to stop a follow up attempt on Vivi, fittingly letting him as the son of a noble rescue a daughter of a noble), and this is the setup to Vivi reuniting with the Strawhats and, by extension, Luffy's first real interaction with the RA since meeting Ivankov at Impel Down.
Im glad mihawk has a higher bounty than the 3 piecesketeers, he has been built up to be a straight up legendary swordsman since chapter 30'ish(?) Finally seeing his bounty and the moniker "Marine Hunter" on a poster is so satisfying, exactly because they're doing that status & moniker justice
he's also one of the few villians (besides enel) who absolutely deserved way more recognition later down the line. he's cunning, he's still strong (even if its not canon he DID fight alongside some of the strongest OP characters to face douglas bullet) his logia fruit is honestly one of the hardest to deal with, even WITH haki i can imagine that being able to dry someone's body in an instant is a bittttt troublesome. he's just someone who was honestly introduced as a villian WAY too early in the series, and its great to see that he's still very very much relevant and threatening.
Franky's poster is pretty much a Pokemon evolution line. It started with Franky pre-time skip (Normal Type). Then evolved into Franky Shogun (Steel Type) and now it is the Sunny (Steel/Water Type). Oda is a Pokemon fan confirmed.
You know, Oda probably meant that whole "Jimbei thinks Nami has Supreme King Haki" thing as a joke, but not only is fandom going to take that seriously, I can't help but wonder if Oda is going to retroactively confirm that Nami has Supreme King Haki in order to help explain how she was able to hurt Luffy all these years. One of those "gags becoming canon" sorts of things that Oda does all the time. Also, what did Franky mean by a "broken yard"? I'm with Chopper on this, it's weird to have CP0 present during the battle where Chopper turned into a giant monster and cure everyone of their Ice Oni disease, only for the World Government to STILL assume you're a pet. I also think it's kind of funny for Oda to create a running gag with Franky's wanted posters where the picture is continuously not him. I do appreciate how Jimbei isn't competitive about bounties the way Zoro and Sanji is, though now I'm willing to bet Sanji's going to try and throw his weight around Jimbei like he does with Zoro. It does kind of suck, though, for Sanji to momentarily have a bounty higher than Zoro's only for it to be snatched away (even if Sanji put a little too much emphasis on it being bigger every chance he got). One last thing: didn't Luffy promise Caribou he'd take him somewhere in exchange for Caribou helping Luffy back in Udon? Where is he here? It's almost suspicious how we spent so little time with Luffy's crew at the beginning, in that respect... NoI'mnotsayingthatbecauseCarrotdidn'tshowupSHH! I have to say, knowing the full details of how the Cross Guild came to be and how Buggy ended up becoming Emperor of the Sea is even more hilarious that I could have imagined. I feel like I almost gave Buggy too much credit for actually being apart of the guild's founding, since his involving is purely circumstantial, yet because his followers think so highly of him and because the Marines and world at large all think he's so much better than he actually is, he kind of accidentally ended up being regarded as one of the strongest pirates out there... Which in Buggy's case means absolutely nothing since he knows he's WAY out of his league here, and he has the more immediate threats of Crocodile and Mihawk breathing down his neck, with both of them deciding to spare Buggy for this humiliation for the moment but also making it clear that they'll drop him the moment he becomes an inconvenience. Seriously, this is a real Win-Lose scenario for Buggy, with more Lose than Win, and I love it (anything to keep Buggy in the story)! As for Crocodile and Mihawk, I love that they're both back, especially Crocodile, it's been too long since we last saw him, and it only makes sense that he'd be the one to come up with this idea. He's still kind of a mysterious figure, despite being one of the few villains who we've known the longest, so I wonder if we'll learn more about him in the future. Either way, I can totally buy that he'd start this guild just to screw over the Marines, even if I don't know his full backstory. As for Mihawk, the details we got here help explain his status as the "strongest swordsman in the world" while also being a rival of Shanks; Mihawk isn't interested in the title of Emperor, and he's a lone pirate as opposed to Shanks, who is a captain of a crew with a lot of formidable pirates, hence why Shanks is regarded as more dangerous, even if Mihawk may be a better swordsman. Also, the idea that he actively hunted Marines before becoming a warlord is just SUCH an awesome detail! Don't have much to say about the revolutionaries, other than I'm kind of glad Dragon is upset about Sabo supposedly killing King Cobra; Dragon always had his priorities in the right place, and he definitely doesn't approve of killing a benevolent ruler like Cobra. I'm also curious if we're going to find out what's the deal with Kuma, why he did what he did and what will happen to him... Also, the fact that the Marines are tracing the call of Sabo is not a good sign for what's to come.
I know Zoro and Sanji are relative and or equal and always will be but Zoro will have the higher bounty for the rest of one piece. Everyone outside the crew sees him as first mate and next to luffy. Good read though
Nami having conquerors makes no sense, not with the sort of character she is. Maybe it ties more with Luffy’s imagination and believing Nami can hurt him
Jinbe's should be higher tbh. Former Captain of the sun pirates. Has a lot of control over fishman island( Boss Jinbe). Connections to 2 former emperors. Really smart and strong. Probably strongest practitioner of fishman jujutsu and karate. One of Emperor Joyboy's three core commanders.
Before this came out I was thinking Robin would have around a billion on her head because it would make sense due to her, well she is very very close to knowing the void century.
I've been a weekly reader of one piece since 2018 and I believe it was during the beginning of wano so this is the first strawhat bounty reveal I've been apart and it was awesome
Idk if it's just me but with Jimbei in the crew now, I consider the "monster trio" to be Sanji, Jimbei and Zoro with Luffy being far above them, like a captain should be.

@@ayushramnettar9830 Extreme diff is getting used much. Extreme diff will take a days of non stop fighting like Akainu and Kuzan. Zoro is Quick finesher he either mid diff and over power his opponent or he is going to lose. Zoro attack power could take out sanji and Jinbei comfortably. Being wings is a Role not combat strength. Sanji feeds luffy and the Crew and that his role and important to his wings title while Zoro is a fighter.
The Sunny being Frankie’s poster also reminded me of the bad future version Oda did where he eventually became a ship after going too far with his modifications Also, Kuma’s paws may not be an indication he is alive considering inanimate objects can be fed devil fruits. It’s possible he has become so much machine his humanity is effectively dead, but until you destroy the physical husk and render his inanimate robot form ‘dead’ the devil fruit may not pass on. It’s a bit of an interesting situation since all the items that have ‘eaten’ devil fruits have been zoan types that then gave the objects free will and sentience while Kuma’s fruit was a paramecia
Mihawk surpassing his purported Boss in bounty value makes sense, as the Marines should know a lot by now about Mihawk's temperament. Sure, he technically has a Boss, but who would ever look at Mihawks history and think that he would be truly submissive to any higher power? I think the Marines would be inclined to recognize that former Warlord Mihawk is a lone entity, regardless of his allegiances. Imo, the bounties reflect the perception of Mihawk still being seen as a force unto himself.
I got a feeling that Choppers bounty is purposefully getting manipulated to be so low. There's no way the WG doesn't know about his incredible Medical/Doctor Skill that he showed during Wano and also his physical strength, CP-0 was there reporting everything to Government.
i would LOVE to see a mini arc wher bounty hunters actually capture someone from the crew (imagine Zoro eating and drinking so much that he passes out so hard he doesn't realize he has been delivered to de marines)
Ughhh yesss I needed that revelation of Mihawk being a naval hunter giving that Zoro connection. The Cross Guild essentially being Baroque Works 2.0 made me so happy. I miss having assassins or at least just other factions of power other than the navy and pirates. (even though they’re technically still pirates)

As a sanji fan, I don't really care that jinbe's bounty is higher and I love the gag. What I hate is the fact that they keep comparing strength with bounties. Sanji will always be the 3rd strongest no matter what. We've seen it like all the time when zoro fought the 2nd strongest and sanji the 3rd strongest. Why in fucks name would Oda change the dynamic now?
A great example of bounty not meaning strength is Usopp like is usopp stronger than most of the supernova? No, so yes 100% the monster trio is and will always be Luffy, Zoro and Sanji and in every fight Luffy will fight the big bad Zoro will fight the number two guy and Sanji the number three. No matter who joins that will never change. except if we get an emperor or admiral to join the crew but i jest
Jinbe's been my favorite character since shortly after introduction, I'm glad Oda didn't screw over those of us who have waited 10 YEARS for him to join. A lot of the fanbase greatly underestimated and Oda has repeatedly shown they shouldn't have. I've seen Zoro and Sanji fans mad over this development rather than celebrating that Luffy has 3 absolute monsters for subordinates. Jinbe may not be as popular as those two but those of us who've waited so long for him have rewarded for our patience and loyalty. There was a point where i was convinced that Oda would nerf him to maintain the status quo, but i'm grateful to be wrong. Oda wasn't going to make us wait ten years and then nerf him, he realized that would be stupid and unfair. Jinbe is that early ally character in an RPG who is OP, and later properly joins and is no longer broken, but still very strong. He slots right in with Zoro and Sanji, when he was too powerful before. Zoro the master on land, Sanji the master in the air, and Jinbe the master in the sea. The top 3 under Luffy, masters of their own realm. And Sanji is my 3rd favorite character (luffy is 2nd) and some people told me he wouldn't be worth a billion. Guess again. I guess some idiots are clowning Sanji, but the difference in bounty between the 3 is insignificant. As a Big chopper fan i'm extremely annoyed Oda continued the joke that was only funny the first time.
Good point about their differences being insignificant- I was a bit devo initially seeing Sanji’s bounty lower than not only Zoro’s but Jinbei’s as well, but the difference is very small

The first idea that came to mind as to why mihawk joined the org when it initially appeared that it was a reliable way to keep perona safe. (this is also under the assumption that he ended up convincing perona or perona decided to actually end up staying over leaving.

I love this chapter so much I cant even list all the great stuff but I'll try Zoro, Jinbe and Sanji with bounties over 1 billion Zoro and Sanji fighting over their placement the core crew are now considered "commanders" by the navy Crocodile has a bounty of over 1 billion from his sheer intelligence Croc and Mihawk being secret bros Buggy failing successfully Dragon Kuma all of it imagining the navy trying to figure out which member of the crew is the doctor not realizing it's the pet nami might unironically have conqueror's haki
Smiled from ear to ear in this chapter, Mihawk is my favorite character and the reason i continued to watch one piece. His bounty was a high as i hoped it would be considered how much of a beast he is. I'm looking forward to seeing him get more action in the series before it wraps up.

Gr8 video. As I learned about what became of Luffy after being beaten up by Nami for falling into Kid's taunts, I now want to know if the arcs to came will give Luffy the very moments needed to be a wiser & more thoughtful Captain/Emperor than he currently is. After all, how do we know for sure that this kind of stupidity & recklessness won't lead Luffy to end up like Ace or even worse? Plus, to be clear to some fans, when I said that Luffy should be wiser & more thoughtful, I actually want him to be more like Shanks when it comes to those things. That way, Luffy can be better in decision making & still be the fun loving character we know today. I feel really bad for Chopper, because I honestly thought the moment where he slapped Queen in the face in front of a large audience would give him a very realistic bounty increase & probably a new nickname. But after this, I believe the only thing Chopper can do is to use his Monster Point more often and in a crowd where even people like Big News Morgan & his friends will witness. Too bad Buggy didn't became an Emperor the same way Usopp became a God, because I thought that would have been the most realistic way for him to achieve such a title with or without any major power ups. After reading it, the only thing for Buggy to do is to perform a great feat similar to what Momonosuke had to do during his great moments in Wano. After all, just like with Momo becoming the rightful Shogun of Wano, not everyone is stupid & naive enough to follow Buggy simply because of his ties to Roger & Shanks, so the Genius Jester will need something to make everyone believe that his status was never given to him by mistake or on a silver platter. When Dragon said that he wouldn't forgive Sabo for "killing" Cobra, it almost sounded as if he & Vivi's father had a history with each other, or it could have a negative effect to the Revolutionary Army’s plans & ideals. Who knows, this could probably be the 1st clue in a long time to know more of Dragon's past & possibly his power? So far, it is difficult to tell whether that was the real Sabo or a trap for the RA since the Marines are intercepting it. However, even though Dragon is not stupid enough to fall for anything like that, the stakes could still be too high to ignore the one chance to fully know Sabo's well-being, so it is best for Dragon to proceed with caution. Anyway that is just my thoughts & opinions on the chapter, I just wanted to know what you think?
I agree. I even imagine it to on par with luffy's purely because of her threat to them. But then again this is probably the government's way of showing her threat without actually going over board, giving other people the idea that something was up with robin which in turn would probably reveal to the rest of the world her true threat.
I really liked this chapter. Both hype and funny. Love learning that, before his bounty was frozen, Mihawk's epithet was Marine Hunter. Gives us a little hint that he was taking down *ANY* swordsmen on his climb to the top

It makes sense and I’m glad to see that robins bounty finally matches her threat to the world government but I feel like franky needs a massive bounty increase too because like robin he’s potentially a huge threat to the wg. After he memoriythe blueprints for pluton he burned them and he’s now the only person that knows how to build it and he did this and said this in front of cp9 so the wg is aware of this and since he’s a member of a yonko crew that can potentially become the pirate kings crew if he were to build pluton for them they’d be a massive threat even more dangerous then they already r. So I think franky definitely deserves a bounty increase.
i somehow feel like this is a kinda reason why it is the sunny on his Bounty not himself. wg could expect that somehow pluton is already built up in the sunny and want to have it either bring it to wg or got destroyed (so if not wg can have it, nobody should have it)

A little bit of real-life pirate lore. In a pirate crew there were two major positions: The Captain and the Quartermaster.
While the captain has the leadership in combat, short-term decision and needed to be a strong fighter. The Quartermaster had the leadership around financial, logistic, supplies and general businesses decision. They had the most authority after the captain and most important: They have the right to punish men for not obeying commands.
Nami is the Quartermaster of the crew and she punishing everybody in the crew for being stupid, is literally her job!
Funny how some really important pirate positions like these never came up in One Piece. But hey at least they have a musician which was one of the highest honored positions in a crew.
This is why after Luffy, the next most main characters are Zoro and Nami. Those 3 are the core of the crew

To add Luffy as monster trio does not do him justice especially he’s a legendary figure now, so i agree that the new monster trio is Sanji Zoro Jinbei. I still bitter that Jinbei has a higher bounty than Sanji especially when Sanji just beat the no.2 comander while jinbei just beat a toby roppo.
Part of me loves the idea that Brandnew is a power scaler who, when questioned on bounties, just insists that “there’s no way x is stronger than y, so there bounty must be lower” and has similar such arguments as the actual fan base with other marines

To be fair, the world government was once in command of mihawk's might, so they know better than anyone that having mihawk as a "subordinate" isn't in any way the same as having any amount of control over it. So I'd say it makes sense to have mihawk's bounty higher

It's actually not that different from real examples of pirate crews, the captain had total authority in battle but the quartermaster was in charge of the day-to-day operations of the ship.

Well it makes sense. Part of the reason it was so high in the first place is because the Vinsmokes wanted him alive. But if they've cut ties with each other now his bounty represents his own feats alone (which is some cool character development, he's truly his own man now)

I loved the Robin and Chopper scene. It's always a highlight for me whenever those two have a scene like that.
i imagine that at one point, the Straw Hats could get captured for their bounties, and the hunter just dismiss Chopper, and then he rescues then or something, but seeing their strength level, and more "mature" One Piece gets, i don't think something like that would happen

Sadly we're too far into the story for that to be even feasible. Bounties at this point are a way for Oda to display their threat to the World Government. The idea of powerful bounty hunters going after the Straw Hats never really materialized unless it was a joke situation.

My first reaction to Sabo calling, especially since it was shown that the Marines were tracing the call, is that it is not Sabo. My immediate thought went to Catarina Devon who can transform into other people trying to set up the Revolutionaries and lead them and possibly the Marines into a trap. You would think with how the Revolutionaries operate they wouldnt be so easily tracked.
I'm glad I'm not the only one that thought the phone call was weird.

Sabo did not say he killed Cobra clearly Sabo set up world govt killed cobra because he asking about 100 year void century since he was dying and would not live another 4 years for next world govt meeting of royals.
I think that the Straw Hats are going to have to meet up with the Revolutionaries soon. If Vivi is with Sabo then we get the Straw Hats reunion with her and Franky may be the best suited person (other than Vegapunk) to undo what has been done to Kuma.
If you add up the combined bounties of the new Straw hat bounties and known Straw Hat Grand Fleet bounties it is over 10 billion berries. This makes Luffy’s crew one of the highest bounties, second only to the Animal Kingdom pirates which based on known bounties is 799,099,000 berries greater. Considering that the Staw Hat Grand fleet bounties have probably gone up as well, Luffy’s crew possibly has the highest combined bounty of any active crew.
My shocking bounty reveal was definitely Robin. Was anyone expecting her bounty to be so big. Like she's nearly at a Billion. The government is giving her the respect she deserves for the danger she is.
Nico Robin helped Luffy achieve his goal in becoming the next Emperor of the Sea, and eventually becoming a Pirate King surpassing Roger, White Beard, and Xebec, so it’s no wonder that Robin’s bounties are now going to reach the billions to trillions of berries in the End Game of One Piece.

I partly think this is because they're still a new crew, like Kaido, King and Queens bounties were so high because they had been at large for so long. To be honest since Enies Lobby, I was expecting her to have top 2 highest bounty in the crew. She is literally a survive of a buster call; a decent devil fruit user and she is literally one of the few people left who can dechiper the polygliffs which can led to the downfall of the WG and celestial dragons

This is only true to two piece readers. The straw hats are like, The Red hair, Rocks, BB, and Roger pirates where the crew is strong and certain crew members are relative in strength to their captain, especially the partners/vice captains.
Your thing only works if you think the straw hats crew setup is more like Kaido's, WB's, and Big moms where the commanders even the right hands are far weaker than their captain, which isnt how the pirate kings crew is built.

The new bounties are awesome and satisfying, I loved Crocodile's in this higher level.
In an SBS from some time ago, Oda drew the good and bad timelines for Franky, and in the bad end he had completely turned his body into a battleship. I felt like that might be a tease that he will end up morphing the Sunny into a giant robot that he pilots, at some point, because that's such a Franky thing to do. The two opponents I could see this being used against are the Pluton, another (probably) battleship/construct, and San Juan Wolf who's enormous and is known as 'the colossal battleship'. So now when i see the Sunny used as Franky's bounty picture, I feel like Oda's validating my theory a bit.
I also feel like Mihawk's bounty before freezing was really high, maybe around 3 billion even. If his epithet was 'Marine Hunter' (or 'Naval Hunter') he may have killed some important figures before he chose to become one of the Shichibukai, and that might have just been from laziness and not wanting to be chased around anymore. It would make sense for him to have a really high bounty as taking him in would have been a priority for the Marines, so as not to lose any more of their key personnel. So Buggy gets a huge bounty increase because he 'commands' Mihawk now but the Marines also know that Mihawk could just up and leave when he feels like it, they've worked with him long enough, and if he goes solo again he might be more aggressive and ambitious and just start killing every Marine he comes across. And they have very few people that they feel can be sure to take him down.
I saw an idea in another video that the person that killed Cobra, and also the 'Sabo' that makes the call at the end of this chapter, is actually Catarina Devon pretending to be him. And this is setting up a big punch-fight between the Revolutionaries and the Blackbeard pirates, and maybe the Marines will join in.
Yes!! I was hoping someone would comment on the future franky timeline! I think that was definitely foreshadowing that the next ship the strawhats will be on will be Franky himself. Or at least that the thousand sunny will be converted into BF-number whatever.
It makes PERFECT sense that the strawhats's bounties are lower than many of their defeated opponents; remember, bounties represent THREAT LEVEL, not STRENGTH. Sure the strawhats, @ this point, can beat just about anybody they choose to focus on, but they're not known for wanton destruction & conquest; hence the government doesn't view them to be as big of a threat as their defeated predecessors, who WERE about that life. Same reason why Shanks's bounty was relatively low, compared to his yonko contemporaries; he can kick mad ass, but prefers to chill, unless provoked. More than once the govt. has actually referenced this in the story. Similarly the strawhats's strength lies not just in their combat ability, but also their individual potential(s) to be unprecedented game-changers, in their respective ways. But generally, they're not bothering anyone.

I realized as I read this chapter. That we have never truly and freely gotten to see jimbei interact with the rest of the Strawhat crew.
I'm slowly accepting we might not get any more strawhats. Period. Because if we do, that focus we don't get on all the individual strawhats in arcs gets even more dispersed.
But if it's just a delay and Yamato / carrot will join later... I think it was because Oda wanted to give Jimbei his moments of integration. And didn't want to drop 2 to 3 new dynamics into the crew simultaneously.
I do not think Sabo killed Cobra. I think he stumbled on someone else killing Cobra and trying to Kill Vivi. And escaped with her. And I think they are pinning it on him.
This was one of those things I didn't really want Yamato to join the crew for the fact we just got jimbei. And honestly as much as I love luffy following the footsteps of Roger, I love that it's not the same story and his own true journey with his unique crew.
Every Straw Hat except for Chopper, if captured, are now eligible to be put in Level 5 of Impel Down.
Chopper however, could get off with a small fine that doesn't even cover half the cost of bringing him in.

Jimbei was already on level 6 and was released; his bounty right after that was 438 million, so I think level 5 is 100 million to about 400 million, and level 6 is about 400 million and up. Because of that, I think Nami, Brook, and Franky would all be on level 5, and then Usopp, Robin, Sanji, Jimbei, Zoro, and Luffy would all be on level 6
I think Sabo did it… At least I would love him to have done it, because it would add a whole new layer his character and set up him and Luffy for a huge conflict. But as far as One Piece goes, Sabo was probably framed and he needs to clear his name somehow

Yeah no, 99% chance that there was a chaotic moment at the Reverie caused by the Revolutionary Army (probably in the attempt to free Kuma), someone (possibly one of the Celestial Dragons or even a Gorosei with orders from Im) use the chaos and confusion to try to assassinate Vivi, but Sabo and/or Cobra intervene, Cobra dies as a result and Sabo is captured, leading to the attempt being pinned on Sabo and the revolutionaries as the culprits.
Also calling that the revolutionaries managed to get Vivi out which is why we haven't heard anything from her. She knows the truth of what happened but obviously couldn't stay at Marejois (this could be where Sabo intervenes, seeing Cobra die and jumping in to stop a follow up attempt on Vivi, fittingly letting him as the son of a noble rescue a daughter of a noble), and this is the setup to Vivi reuniting with the Strawhats and, by extension, Luffy's first real interaction with the RA since meeting Ivankov at Impel Down.
Sabo definitely killed Cobra. But Cobra probably wanted it that way. There is way more to it.

Crocodile fully deserves his bounty. He's arguably the smartest and most cunning person in the OP world
he's also one of the few villians (besides enel) who absolutely deserved way more recognition later down the line. he's cunning, he's still strong (even if its not canon he DID fight alongside some of the strongest OP characters to face douglas bullet) his logia fruit is honestly one of the hardest to deal with, even WITH haki i can imagine that being able to dry someone's body in an instant is a bittttt troublesome. he's just someone who was honestly introduced as a villian WAY too early in the series, and its great to see that he's still very very much relevant and threatening.
Franky's poster is pretty much a Pokemon evolution line. It started with Franky pre-time skip (Normal Type). Then evolved into Franky Shogun (Steel Type) and now it is the Sunny (Steel/Water Type).

You know, Oda probably meant that whole "Jimbei thinks Nami has Supreme King Haki" thing as a joke, but not only is fandom going to take that seriously, I can't help but wonder if Oda is going to retroactively confirm that Nami has Supreme King Haki in order to help explain how she was able to hurt Luffy all these years. One of those "gags becoming canon" sorts of things that Oda does all the time. Also, what did Franky mean by a "broken yard"?
I'm with Chopper on this, it's weird to have CP0 present during the battle where Chopper turned into a giant monster and cure everyone of their Ice Oni disease, only for the World Government to STILL assume you're a pet. I also think it's kind of funny for Oda to create a running gag with Franky's wanted posters where the picture is continuously not him. I do appreciate how Jimbei isn't competitive about bounties the way Zoro and Sanji is, though now I'm willing to bet Sanji's going to try and throw his weight around Jimbei like he does with Zoro. It does kind of suck, though, for Sanji to momentarily have a bounty higher than Zoro's only for it to be snatched away (even if Sanji put a little too much emphasis on it being bigger every chance he got).
One last thing: didn't Luffy promise Caribou he'd take him somewhere in exchange for Caribou helping Luffy back in Udon? Where is he here? It's almost suspicious how we spent so little time with Luffy's crew at the beginning, in that respect... NoI'mnotsayingthatbecauseCarrotdidn'tshowupSHH!
I have to say, knowing the full details of how the Cross Guild came to be and how Buggy ended up becoming Emperor of the Sea is even more hilarious that I could have imagined. I feel like I almost gave Buggy too much credit for actually being apart of the guild's founding, since his involving is purely circumstantial, yet because his followers think so highly of him and because the Marines and world at large all think he's so much better than he actually is, he kind of accidentally ended up being regarded as one of the strongest pirates out there... Which in Buggy's case means absolutely nothing since he knows he's WAY out of his league here, and he has the more immediate threats of Crocodile and Mihawk breathing down his neck, with both of them deciding to spare Buggy for this humiliation for the moment but also making it clear that they'll drop him the moment he becomes an inconvenience. Seriously, this is a real Win-Lose scenario for Buggy, with more Lose than Win, and I love it (anything to keep Buggy in the story)!
As for Crocodile and Mihawk, I love that they're both back, especially Crocodile, it's been too long since we last saw him, and it only makes sense that he'd be the one to come up with this idea. He's still kind of a mysterious figure, despite being one of the few villains who we've known the longest, so I wonder if we'll learn more about him in the future. Either way, I can totally buy that he'd start this guild just to screw over the Marines, even if I don't know his full backstory. As for Mihawk, the details we got here help explain his status as the "strongest swordsman in the world" while also being a rival of Shanks; Mihawk isn't interested in the title of Emperor, and he's a lone pirate as opposed to Shanks, who is a captain of a crew with a lot of formidable pirates, hence why Shanks is regarded as more dangerous, even if Mihawk may be a better swordsman. Also, the idea that he actively hunted Marines before becoming a warlord is just SUCH an awesome detail!
Don't have much to say about the revolutionaries, other than I'm kind of glad Dragon is upset about Sabo supposedly killing King Cobra; Dragon always had his priorities in the right place, and he definitely doesn't approve of killing a benevolent ruler like Cobra. I'm also curious if we're going to find out what's the deal with Kuma, why he did what he did and what will happen to him... Also, the fact that the Marines are tracing the call of Sabo is not a good sign for what's to come.

Jinbe's should be higher tbh. Former Captain of the sun pirates. Has a lot of control over fishman island( Boss Jinbe). Connections to 2 former emperors. Really smart and strong. Probably strongest practitioner of fishman jujutsu and karate. One of Emperor Joyboy's three core commanders.
Before this came out I was thinking Robin would have around a billion on her head because it would make sense due to her, well she is very very close to knowing the void century.
Kinda makes you wonder about oden too. His bounty musy have being second to roger in RPirates since he was the robin of that crew and a powerhouse.

Zoro is Quick finesher he either mid diff and over power his opponent or he is going to lose. Zoro attack power could take out sanji and Jinbei comfortably. Being wings is a Role not combat strength. Sanji feeds luffy and the Crew and that his role and important to his wings title while Zoro is a fighter.

Also, Kuma’s paws may not be an indication he is alive considering inanimate objects can be fed devil fruits. It’s possible he has become so much machine his humanity is effectively dead, but until you destroy the physical husk and render his inanimate robot form ‘dead’ the devil fruit may not pass on. It’s a bit of an interesting situation since all the items that have ‘eaten’ devil fruits have been zoan types that then gave the objects free will and sentience while Kuma’s fruit was a paramecia

Mihawk surpassing his purported Boss in bounty value makes sense, as the Marines should know a lot by now about Mihawk's temperament.
Sure, he technically has a Boss, but who would ever look at Mihawks history and think that he would be truly submissive to any higher power? I think the Marines would be inclined to recognize that former Warlord Mihawk is a lone entity, regardless of his allegiances.
Imo, the bounties reflect the perception of Mihawk still being seen as a force unto himself.
I got a feeling that Choppers bounty is purposefully getting manipulated to be so low. There's no way the WG doesn't know about his incredible Medical/Doctor Skill that he showed during Wano and also his physical strength, CP-0 was there reporting everything to Government.

As a sanji fan, I don't really care that jinbe's bounty is higher and I love the gag. What I hate is the fact that they keep comparing strength with bounties. Sanji will always be the 3rd strongest no matter what. We've seen it like all the time when zoro fought the 2nd strongest and sanji the 3rd strongest. Why in fucks name would Oda change the dynamic now?

Jinbe's been my favorite character since shortly after introduction, I'm glad Oda didn't screw over those of us who have waited 10 YEARS for him to join. A lot of the fanbase greatly underestimated and Oda has repeatedly shown they shouldn't have. I've seen Zoro and Sanji fans mad over this development rather than celebrating that Luffy has 3 absolute monsters for subordinates. Jinbe may not be as popular as those two but those of us who've waited so long for him have rewarded for our patience and loyalty. There was a point where i was convinced that Oda would nerf him to maintain the status quo, but i'm grateful to be wrong. Oda wasn't going to make us wait ten years and then nerf him, he realized that would be stupid and unfair. Jinbe is that early ally character in an RPG who is OP, and later properly joins and is no longer broken, but still very strong. He slots right in with Zoro and Sanji, when he was too powerful before. Zoro the master on land, Sanji the master in the air, and Jinbe the master in the sea. The top 3 under Luffy, masters of their own realm. And Sanji is my 3rd favorite character (luffy is 2nd) and some people told me he wouldn't be worth a billion. Guess again. I guess some idiots are clowning Sanji, but the difference in bounty between the 3 is insignificant. As a Big chopper fan i'm extremely annoyed Oda continued the joke that was only funny the first time.

The first idea that came to mind as to why mihawk joined the org when it initially appeared that it was a reliable way to keep perona safe. (this is also under the assumption that he ended up convincing perona or perona decided to actually end up staying over leaving.
Remember Zoro only sleeps when he feels safe. The crews all here and first thing he does is sleep love it.

Smiled from ear to ear in this chapter, Mihawk is my favorite character and the reason i continued to watch one piece. His bounty was a high as i hoped it would be considered how much of a beast he is. I'm looking forward to seeing him get more action in the series before it wraps up.

Gr8 video. As I learned about what became of Luffy after being beaten up by Nami for falling into Kid's taunts, I now want to know if the arcs to came will give Luffy the very moments needed to be a wiser & more thoughtful Captain/Emperor than he currently is. After all, how do we know for sure that this kind of stupidity & recklessness won't lead Luffy to end up like Ace or even worse? Plus, to be clear to some fans, when I said that Luffy should be wiser & more thoughtful, I actually want him to be more like Shanks when it comes to those things. That way, Luffy can be better in decision making & still be the fun loving character we know today.
I feel really bad for Chopper, because I honestly thought the moment where he slapped Queen in the face in front of a large audience would give him a very realistic bounty increase & probably a new nickname. But after this, I believe the only thing Chopper can do is to use his Monster Point more often and in a crowd where even people like Big News Morgan & his friends will witness.
Too bad Buggy didn't became an Emperor the same way Usopp became a God, because I thought that would have been the most realistic way for him to achieve such a title with or without any major power ups. After reading it, the only thing for Buggy to do is to perform a great feat similar to what Momonosuke had to do during his great moments in Wano. After all, just like with Momo becoming the rightful Shogun of Wano, not everyone is stupid & naive enough to follow Buggy simply because of his ties to Roger & Shanks, so the Genius Jester will need something to make everyone believe that his status was never given to him by mistake or on a silver platter.
When Dragon said that he wouldn't forgive Sabo for "killing" Cobra, it almost sounded as if he & Vivi's father had a history with each other, or it could have a negative effect to the Revolutionary Army’s plans & ideals. Who knows, this could probably be the 1st clue in a long time to know more of Dragon's past & possibly his power?
So far, it is difficult to tell whether that was the real Sabo or a trap for the RA since the Marines are intercepting it. However, even though Dragon is not stupid enough to fall for anything like that, the stakes could still be too high to ignore the one chance to fully know Sabo's well-being, so it is best for Dragon to proceed with caution.
Anyway that is just my thoughts & opinions on the chapter, I just wanted to know what you think?

I agree. I even imagine it to on par with luffy's purely because of her threat to them. But then again this is probably the government's way of showing her threat without actually going over board, giving other people the idea that something was up with robin which in turn would probably reveal to the rest of the world her true threat.

I really liked this chapter. Both hype and funny. Love learning that, before his bounty was frozen, Mihawk's epithet was Marine Hunter. Gives us a little hint that he was taking down *ANY* swordsmen on his climb to the top

It makes sense and I’m glad to see that robins bounty finally matches her threat to the world government but I feel like franky needs a massive bounty increase too because like robin he’s potentially a huge threat to the wg. After he memoriythe blueprints for pluton he burned them and he’s now the only person that knows how to build it and he did this and said this in front of cp9 so the wg is aware of this and since he’s a member of a yonko crew that can potentially become the pirate kings crew if he were to build pluton for them they’d be a massive threat even more dangerous then they already r. So I think franky definitely deserves a bounty increase.

i somehow feel like this is a kinda reason why it is the sunny on his Bounty not himself. wg could expect that somehow pluton is already built up in the sunny and want to have it either bring it to wg or got destroyed (so if not wg can have it, nobody should have it)

I mean since a df can be imbued into non living things it doesn’t seem to farfetched to think that even if kumas personality is 100% gone and a robot now his body was definitely kept alive throughout the process so he would probably keep his devilfruit.
