Please don't be embarassed Emma everyone living with horses takes risks. In my whole life i fell of a horse 5 times broke something 3 times. And 5 years ago i fell over in the field mending fences and broke my ankle.
So being carefull isn't always working how ever hard you try.
Glad you are on the mend and i love your videos whatever you do.

Emma don't feel embarrassed. I'm glad to see you're recovering well. For lack of balance the best is to ride horses... In case you didn't know 😂🥰
I wish you didn't have the accident but in hindsight
it was the best place for you to have it. They were able to help you immediately. Please wear a hard helmet from now on. I'll be waiting for your next videos. No matter which shape or format you'll come up with. If you like them we're going to like them as well.
Cheers from Silvana from South America Uruguay 🇺🇾

Some older horsewomen can fully understand the process you have been through. I remember being in an ambulance after a bad fall and I said, half alive "wow, your ambulance is dirty!" and the great ambulance people laughed and said: "it is your bloody blood spurting all over"! Love and Live is an adventure.

Just so happy you came out of all of that alive and kicking! I would love to see a video where you narrate the behaviour of a horse and the communication between you and a horse. I always love to learn about about their behaviour and how to understand their messages.

Emma I’m so glad you and the shetlands are ok! Another of my favourite equestrian UA-camrs Yvonne Horjus of Friesian Horses channel has just had a terrible fall and head injury. Makes me realize how lucky I was in a carriage driving incident many years ago. Whatever you do, I'm there for it. I loved seeing you playing around with the horses, camping, traveling, training/working with them, etc. Just the sheer simple brilliance of the loving relationship you cultivate with all your animals is wonderful.

So glad you are ok Emma. Freak accidents can happen at any time, all we can do is arm our ponies with as much sensible training as possible and hope when the time comes it will be less about flight and fright and more about "ok we got this" because they have been exposed to so many things. 👍Poor chaps I bet they got a heck of a fright. 🙀Thanks Jeremy for taking care of the home front 😀 You have a good one there. And thank you for sharing. People have to know about the dangers too, it's not always fun and games, it requires a lot of work and training and even then we can all have a bad day. 🐎🦄Hugs from NZ, don't let your new clunky bits throw you 😂😂😂

You're an outdoorsy active person so eventually accidents do happen. I broke my collar bone twice: falling out of bed as a child and walking on my hands and falling badly. It happens. Broke that shoulder jumping a horse and falling badly. I'm a little asymmetrical now but eventually the shoulder was able to get strong enough to not hurt when overhead weight bearing or weight pulling. I like to think our bodies show wear and tear of our personal history.
You do amazing work Emma. Thanks for sharing it.

Wow.....u don't do things by halves Emma!!!! It's one thing when bad things occur, due to maybe lack of knowledge, or downright arrogant ignorance 😠 However, GENUINE accidents happen 🙄🤷‍♀️ ....
It's very easy to think retrospectively and over analyse. I'm very glad the outcome of all this drama was positive for all ..... human and equine alike 🤗
Part of my working life is regularly based in one of our country's leading major trauma A&E departments. As a "horsey" person myself, i dread the occasions when our resuscitation area receives the "heads up" call, activating preparations, due to a horse related incident, either via blue lights on the road, or helipad protocol 😱
Genuine accidents, such as yours Emma, will always randomly occur....that's just life unfortunately. No one's fault.. just chance and timing 🤷‍♀️ Thankyou for your bare honesty in sharing.....it can't have been easy to talk on camera about such a terrifying episode. Ive no doubt, your own fear and pain at the time, took a back seat to your concern for your ponies safety and wellbeing. The ONLY thing any of our horse related community can do, is to protect ourselves as much as possible, with modern technology.... ..make it second nature to wear a helmet at least. Body protectors these days interfere very little with rider mobility and can make SUCH a difference with regard to severity of injury to the fragile human body.
It's great to see u back Emma! We've missed your videos 😊

I’m so glad you’re ok Emma! What a crazy accident eh? Just goes to show there are risks with an active life and with horses. I’m also super grateful that itDID happen in the town because that meant you got cared for immediately! The horse angels were watching out for ya. But I do get the embarrassment. What is that eh? We all seem to have that embarrassment thing around getting sick or hurt. Anyway wonderful to see you back here and moving forward with more great adventures. Sometimes I think these things happen to make us take a pause… especially if you’re a go-go-go type personality. Anyway, so happy all is well!

OMG Honey, such a very terrible accident!! RN here. But an outrageous treatment in the sending you home. Collar bones are a tough heal, but so very glad it's all behind you. Since the lower level med personnel are too conservative in their diagnoses, (ashamed of them too, sent you home twice w broken collar bone) next time go straight to the specialist. Accidents do happen, Love. No worries. Thank goodness you were in town, not out in boonies. I did wonder where you were. Do lots of strength physio. Google - balance exercises. Walk and swing arms in a circle. I too had a bout of shingles in my face/ear trigeminal nerve that left me dizzy and unsteady, had double vision for a day, fever for a month = just rotten course. Those arm circles while walking helped. And yoga for balance. Many tender hugs. Take it slow, but "build back better", heard that before? Please wear a helmet now!! And carry your phone in a zip vest pocket, so w a fall it does NOT get lost!! Make sure, your Ortho says it's ok to go back to your reg life w your lovies!! I would not buck hay, do heavy work, be careful of heavy poop scooping, leave it for others, etc. Don't macho your way back, just very slow... Many Hugs CH in WA w my 2 Shetland ponies Dove22 & Misty16.

Oh Emma, drains are lethal. I know of a child who’s pony slipped on a drain cover and she was killed. Also we did carriage driving and was out in a quiet country lane in Devon, driving my section D in a four wheeler. The front wheel just touched the Devon bank and we all turned over in the road. It happened so quickly and you wouldn’t think that a Fenix Flyer exercise vehicle could flip a big horse over, but it did. We weren’t hurt as bad as you were but it wasn’t easy keeping our gorgeous horse calm, keeping his head down so that my husband could get the harness undone to free the carriage from him. We were only about a mile from home near Tiverton so managed to get home slowly, covered in mud, cuts and in shock. Me leading our boy and hubby pulling the carriage. We did drive him again but mostly drove our older mare but carriage driving is a very dangerous sport, can be great fun and in nice weather a lovely way of enjoying the West Country but please be careful. I am 76ers old now so can only enjoy horses through your eyes. I love watching videos of you out on the moors and woods, very calming, wishing I could be the same. Stay safe, Irene x

Thank goodness you were all ok. I had a freak driving accident 15 years ago and ended up being taken to hospital via Surrey air ambulance. I’ve always worn a hat whilst driving ever since. Hope it didn’t upset your little boys too much. Stay safe and keep inspiring xx

You are a amazing lady who has beautiful animals. I always admired how much your animals really love you and would do anything for you, willingly. I’m sorry I had to stop the patreon. I fell in hard times and still coming out of it.
Super happy that you are ok now. Remember, even the best “fall”. Looking forward to your new journey ahead.

Emma I'm so glad you're feeling better. Your guardian angel was watching out for you. If this had happened somewhere else you would not have gotten the help you needed. Don't be embarrassed you can't predict an accident. Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful life. God bless.

Don’t be embarrassed I tripped over my dog and broke my hand off my arm with my other arm in a sling from shoulder surgery. Then a month later I walked down the hall and broke my ankle in three places. Glad your recovering ❤️‍🩹

Thanks for sharing your story. We’ve all had stupid accidents and kind of blame ourselves, but they are usually just unavoidable. So glad you are back and taking us all on your further adventures.👏🏻

Emma, I revisited your video today and was particularly impressed to hear that you wish to share what you call ethical horse training methods. It inspires me because I’m struggling with negotiating this complex world and how to fit in with this approach. Almost all of my horse friends put their own interests first and their ponies have to comply.
Thank you for continuing to share and overcome the obstacles you’ve been faced with, and for maintaining your ethical approach. I so look forward to more videos. And thank you to Jeremy too.

Glad you and the ponies are OK! You asked for feedback on what videos we'd like, so my choice would be training, even basic stuff. I've also been wondering how Oisin's doing so an update video about him would be interesting
