Excellent video , can you tell me where the battery terminals are to charge the 12 V battery in my 23 maverick hybrid, also is it necessary to charge the hybrid battery or is that done completely by regenerative braking, etc. thank you
The 12V battery is located under the rear passenger seat. The Hybrid battery never needs to be externally charged, the system maintains it through regenerative braking and engine power via generator.
Have been considering one. Finally got to put hands on one. My one hesitation has to do with the rear seat area. It is TIGHT! And the rear seats are not very comfortable. So, I'm thinking we are going to have to rethink and look at the Ranger. Disappointed.
Really wanted to grab one of last fall when we were shopping. A fifty two hundred dollar addendum changed our minds. I refuse to pay a "market adjustment" at the dealer. We bought our first Honda instead. A used Ridgeline for the Wife and she loves it. I am kinda out on Fords dealer network. I have 2018 F150 4x4 and between the sales experience, the recalls, and the poor service its going to be our last Ford.

Perfect coverage. If you go in with that mindset? Like Sam, you're going to be alright.
Great job Sam!
In Canada they are going for over $50,000.00 before taxes. Good thing I walked out.
So wait what was your build price bs what you paid? I ordered one an was $12k more when I went to pick it up. I was so pissed I didn’t buy and haven’t been back to ford since.
@@trevororr5494 I agree. My local Ford dealers in Knoxville Tennessee, especially Ted Russell were asking crazy markups. We ended up going with a Toyota hybrid and have been extremely happy with the choice.
I still really like the Maverick though. Otherwise I wouldn’t be here checking on long term reviews. I will for the time being, continue on with my current stable of cars (2 of which are a 2 door Explorer sport and an Explorer sport Trac, both Manuals).
Just buy a used one and get 40% off be patient and snag one for 50% off
This will be my first truck as an Apprentice Electrician until I journey out and make top dollar.
good honest review
I like your review and grill, I did not buy one because of all the misinformation out there.
I have a Lariat Hybrid model 2024 and it rides like a little truck but it gets very good gas ⛽ mileage. I also have a 2010 F-150 Lariat for heavy work.👍😎
I bought a 23 Maverick lariat loved it put 15,000 mi on it no issues was getting 33 mi to the gallon highway trade it in for a 24 lariat tremor great truck but gas mileage 24 mi to the gallon four wheel drive system in the tremor is built for off-roading other than the gas mileage being different because of the gearing it's a great truck the brakes are grabbing would definitely recommend this truck love it much easier to park then my F-150
Great review!
Have the same model. Brakes work great after the software update.
My old 8' bed with a camper shell makes weekend camping with a cot and full-size mattress a breeze. Now I can't even buy an 8'. Need at least a 6.5' with a built in shell that doesn't leak and has side windows with screens. No need for crew cap just enough extended to fit my ice chest and stove. Nobody care about how easy the short tour camping guy with no dang travel trailer needed for deep woods 4x4. It would be the bomb for some of us. G friends always liked the roughing it with a bed just fine. Already getting ready for the woody or the woods rather
Lariat owner here, plastics fine with me 😁
Nice upgrades good job, Ford should sell one factory built just like it
This feels more like an accessories overview vs a 2 year review
Bought new 2022 Maverick XTL Hybrid nice looking truck. Unfortunately, though it had to be towed twice for serious electrical issues. Also, had 2 recalls all within 800 miles and at 1k I sold it. Didn't want to take any further chances with it.
I don’t drive enough in my hybrid Maverick so likes to go into sleep mode
The markups are crazy in Puerto Rico, but hopefully I can find one of these soon because my Yaris is screaming for help every time I go up a steep hill which is every single time I need to use it (Puerto Rico streets) 😂
I got my Maverick Lariat Hybrid Area 51 in Jan '22. Great truck EXCEPT the cross traffic has never worked. The dealer 'tests' and swears it is working but all those vehicles I've almost backed into confirms I'm right and they are wrong. Cross traffic just doesn't work. Otherwise the truck is great. I constantly get over 600 miles per tank. Once I got 702 on a tank.
I'm considering getting one as a daily driver, would you recommend it?
How comfortable is it on a Long Trip?
How much do the 18 inch black rims weigh, thinking of lighter rims
Even the up price for the price of the Lariat is reasonable compared to other truck prices
we have the ecoboost awd xl n we love it!!
Sam, the ford hard floor mats are way better then the Weather Tech which are hard and have to many dips and bumps along with a badly placed logo.
I remember when the Mustang first hit the market. Within a year or two the Mustang became one of the most common vehicles seen on American streets. Well, the Maverick has been out for two years, is said to be a big hit and I've yet to see one. How can that be?
I definitely see them out and about. I think the biggest thing though is it just hasn’t been out very long so they haven’t produced near as many as they’ve had time to produce mustangs.
Looks like you need a maverick tremor hybrid all wheel drive, Sam.
Your mods really do look great!
I'll have to check out your video on the Zone 1 inch leveling kit. I have a Bronco Sport Badlands. I love it but the front sits a bit low for my tastes. I don't want to make big changes. And since the Maverick and Bronco Sport are based on the same underpinnings , it should be about the same.
Yes a direct fit.
@@TestDrivenTV an I assume the toe needs to be reset, the camber is fixed.
Hi Sam, I just saw your 2 year on the Ford Maverick . You said your buy It again In If something happened to te vehicle . Would you buy the same XL version or go to a XLT or Lariat ? Just Wondering . Thanks. ( Really like your videos on the truck )
XL if it was a choice.
Yes. I buy the same version. Maybe add the four wheel drive. I am pretty happy with it.
Extended warranty is void if damage is linked to any lifted modification.
Back to the future : Son why are you wearing a life preserver?
Because life is good and preserving it is golden.
Two yrs really isn’t a long term review, that’s still new.
I ordered the 2025 hybrid AWD. Hopefully it's as good as the $ I'm paying for it.
With the tonneau cover not opening because of the roll bar added and the sliding floor on the bed, this truck can carry easily a ton of pizzas on gravel roads with the off-road wheels
Exactly!
"It's a $20,000.00 truck" - Now it's a $32,000.00 truck. N O P E
Actually it's a $24,000 truck oranges to oranges
wait is there a playlist on it?
haha all joking aside somehow I did not know about this truck until today. can you believe it.
it's on the short list. but to be honest all the recalls, long wait time & price increasing every year has me thinking.
have you had any front suspension issues caused by the zone offroad leveling kit? Thanks man! regards.
