Hey mate, just wanted to say I really appreciate the videos you keep putting out and watching your guides and battle reports is getting me back into the hobby. Painting up my first squad of Grey Knights as we speak! :)
I love your definition of glitter. Spot on! And your grey knights look fantastic! Definitely helping me get my inspiration to get my terminators painted up! All 33 of them. Fantastic video!
Hey @OneLastBlade! Thanks for posting regular vids with awesome Grey Knight content! Your painting techniques and tutorials have helped me build and paint my first full Grey Knight Terminator squad, Brother-Captain Arvann Stern (Wardmakers), and Castellan Crowe to boot! All of this thanks to your inspirational videos! I also like the darker painting technique/style you’ve chosen, over the Games Workshop paint style. I’m definitely using your darker-toned style and techniques for my GK army! Can’t wait to see what you’ll post next! All the best from Canada! Cheers!
Loved the last guide. Love this one. Can’t wait to see more of the creative process. If you ever get bored of painting grey knights (which is impossible) I’d love to see this type of video for your other projects too.
Great stuff! I love getting to see painting videos from a (no offence) general hobbyist that has just been doing it for some time instead of the usual "professional" painter. Makes the painting process & end result seem a lot more obtainable. I also am a huge fan of the duller Grey Knight armour instead of the shiny blue. I've been wanting to get into the hobby for quite a while now and have been enjoying your videos - Grey Knights have been the obvious choice for me. Just picked up the Hexfire box the other day as my first ever purchase and am excited to start building, painting, and learning the game!
im brand new to warhammer as a whole, and I am obsessed with grey knights. I stumbled upon your channel through the recommendation of another one. Your stuff is awesome. Very entertaining and informative. Hoping that after the holidays, I’ll have the money to buy my first army (GK obviously) and jump into the hobby
Good to see an updated video on your way of painting Grey Knights. I'm going for a color scheme that is actually grey with a base of mechanicus standard grey or eshin grey for the armor. I've seen someone post this color scheme somewhere and I thought it looked super cool :)
Dude this was awesome. Super easy to listen to in the background, you have a very calming voice. Also loved that you're a Seattle Local! Love MOX! Almost went there today lol
I wish there were channels with people as invested in other factions as Last blade is invested in his grey knights. They would make great examples for people starting with different factions
I really enjoy your vids, Been trying to decide for the passed 2 years on what chapter to start with and I have fallen inlove with your way of doing grey Knights, Im 100 000 000 % sold and only want them.
I loved this video I love your models, makes me feel a little bad about how mine are painted. Keep up the great work and hope you have a great one. See you next time.
Nice vid. I remember the painting vid you did before. It’s nice to be reminded which of your ideas I stole! The Terminator with the Deathwing (i think) legs, is an awesome pose.
I've watched a few of your vids now, and you're awesome! Love this video as I too prefer a less blisteringly shiny look. Their Truesilver armor wards against daemons.. not dirt, dust and grime! :) I got into Grey Knights in 5th, and an old friend begged them off me. Now I've decided to add them back to my collection with my Deathwatch, and these have now quickly become my new favorite!
Hi, I'm just starting grey knights. I know you probably won't see this but can you put all of the paints you used into the description so I can have a list of what I need to buy. I really love how all of you models looks with your paint job. Thanks 👍
A friend of mine really wants to start a Grey Knights army and I have managed to successfully induct him into the Cult of the Terminator for his troops. Praise be to the Tactical Dreadnought Armor.
I recently got my first 40k army and this helped me alot. I chose grey knights for my first and im slowly putting them together and need advice for the Combat Patrol box they came in
Thank you. What and how do you stick them on the bases? Super glue? Cork? I like basing my gold letters in Doombull Brown so there is a heavy layer of dirt stuck in the deepest spots in the end. Like gold but with zero polish compared the the letters that rise up.
@@onelastblade3913 Hmmm, Perhaps then I'll try your way of doing dry brushing to cover the models. I got my self a box of Terminators and am going to create characters out of them. I'm thinking of doing a Purple Tint to them If anything to resemble the Silver Knight(s) of Slaanesh. Or at least have grey knights with purple and pink glowing energy weapons. But still, Glad to see someone focusing on Grey Knights either way
Great video. With the force swords I do a similar process but also do a *very dry* dry brush of a bright blue (like lothern blue) at an angled direct (this isn't me suggesting anything, just saying what I do after using pretty much the same blending method)
Great work and i bought some micron pens because those kind of details is so hard with brush and paint... but... doesnt seem to stick to the plastic. Is it just alot more drying time or am i doing something wrong?
Enjoyed the tutorial. Very similar to what I've done, except I use a watered down blue wash. That last bit, glad to see I'm not the only one who does that.
What sort of cork do you use? Is there a thickness you prefer? I love the look of your bases and want to do something similar but with purple lol. Thanks again for all your content! Best channel on UA-cam!
I love your style man the only thing that has been the bane of my painting is the damn eyes on grey knights i have nerve damage so keeping my hands steady for those is just pain.
Side note - watching this well after release - but I noticed some of your Citadel Paints had dry paint built up at the seal. You can actually - If your fingers are ready to hurt a bit - push the cap inside out and the dry paint peals away easily. Not sure if it actually makes a better seal or if you have tried this before Stephan but thought I would comment on it in case you were interested. Like the videos as always and please keep it up for the Grey Knights! Thanks

@@TrainorsTabletop The sword? Yeah, I just took the sword from the Custodian Guard kit and gave it to my Grand Master. Had to do a little chopping, but it turned out great.
Ahh gotcha. My base coat scheme I've been doing is prime with leadbelcher spray can, then 2 thin base coats of grey knight steel, wash drakenhof and dry brush with another silver color. My color scheme I've been trying to do is silver/purple grey knights, so just basically replace the red on the plates and power weapons with different shades of purple. I also am trying to figure out how to make lightning effects, but I find it more difficult to do properly.
So I literally just bought a box of metal terminators and a brother Captain Stern. One of the normal metal terminators can be a brother captain but I just decided to say it's a Terminator with a heavy flamer. I did notice when painting metal figures that they turn out darker than normal figures on plastic I wonder why that is.
Did anyone have problems gluing these? I washed them twice, and used Mr. CementS, It didn’t work like it usually does. Also, noticed when removing manufactures mold seams that the plastic seemed softer than usual.

Your painting tutorials are great. Easy to follow,, nothing is complicated and yet you get the mini that looks absolutely fantastic.

While I got plenty of Chaos Black spray paint to Undercoat my new Models. Would Leadbelcher Spray paint also work for these guys as well?
