A Call to Action: Malawians Mobilize for Nationwide Protests Against MCP Dictatorship

On July 31, 2024, Malawians from diverse backgrounds, including religious organizations, Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), activists, politicians, and businesspeople, will unite for a nationwide protest titled “To Die for the National Flag.” This grassroots movement aims to challenge the corruption and one-party dictatorship that have plagued the nation. The demonstrations will begin in Blantyre, Zomba, Mangochi, and Mzuzu, with dates for the central region to be announced. Organized by true patriots, these protests seek to reclaim Malawi’s democracy and send a powerful message to President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the ruling Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
