GOOD NEWS! Moza have just announced that you can now purchase the Moza R5 DD Base and ES Steering Wheel as standalone products, separate from the pedals here in this R5 Bundle. Make sure to use this link if you want to purchase a Moza product and want to support me and the channel as I'll get 10% commission on any products you purchase through the link: mozaracing.com/?ref=MozaYorkie065 And here's the suite of products they've just announced today! twitter.com/moza_racing/status/1600112822909665280
Absolutely! Has taking several program adjustments to dial in a good feel that doesn’t beat you to death. Now that it is dialed in and with the addition of the Next Level Racing HF8 Haptics seat cushion I can really feel the car weight shift and less grip on the tires as I go over even small elevation changes. Best improvements yet.
Excellent review yorkie just wondering picture this my rig consists of the next level gt elite rig full mount side edition i race on i use the csl dd base 8nm one along with the formula v2 red version wheel and the csl standard pedals have had this rig for few months now use it mostly for f1 league racing on xbox and in love with it so stable no issues with it but wondering in your view would you say its best upgrading the csl pedals to the loadcell edition one thats come out recently ? if so should i get the full set if that makes sense never used loadcell pedals before so be pretty new to it just thinking in terms of an xmas present for this year or any other editions such as a wrc wheel maybe too add on to my base to do rallying 🤔
I would probably upgrade and get the CSL Pedals Load Cell Kit. Much cheaper than getting a whole new set of pedals. The new load cell will replace the current brake and the current brake can be moved to become a clutch, so you're gaining a pedal. Load cell would definitely be my next recommended upgrade. Much more immmersive, with much better control under braking too! I would prioritise that over another rim.
@@Yorkie065 ok thanks yorkie will try and ask for that then should come in time regardless of shipping just wondering hows best to test it once i have then shall i test it with the springs and my foot before i place it on my rig or do it once its bolted down ?
On the rig. You can't test it not bolted down, as loadcells are generally much stiffer anyway and pressing down on it is just going to move or lift the pedals before proper force is being applied.
Can you adjust pedal angle? They look too laid down, especially at full displacement they are too close to horizontal, i would prefer a more upright resting position. But having to tilt the whole pedal base is sometimes not so easy
Unfortunately not, so you will have to adjust the whole pedal base angle in order to get them more upright and less horizontal when pressing them down fully.
Can you use the t3ps pro pedals with this wheelbase, i was looking at buying the bundle but i already have t3pa pedals so if the pedals are no better then i just buy the wheelbase separate
You can use the T3PA pro pedals if you've got an adapter to plug them straight into the PC via USB. It (probably) won't work plugging them into the wheelbase. I'm running the wheel with Fanatec V3's now.
@@Yorkie065 I just bought the bundle I will buy the brake mod and see how they feel with that on there. If I don't get on with them I'll sell them and the t3pa pros and get a load cell set
I doubt you can plug them straight into the Moza R5 wheelbase, but if you're able to connect them directly to the PC via USB, then you can use the load cell pedals with the base and steering wheel.
Have this ordered from abruzzi, sadly their back orders dont seem to be forth coming very fast :( 3 weeks and counting with no eta at all ,ordered the brake performance kit direct from moza that arrived from china to uk in 4 days, so good shipping on mozas part. Coming from a g27 im hoping this is going to be a very nice upgrade . For now until abruzzi get their stuff together i will just admire my brake performance kit lol.
Awesome to hear you've ordered one! Hopefully it does through fairly quick for you and you can get to enjoying it! I will say, you'll see a massive step up from a g27! This is pretty much silent other than the flappy paddles on the wheel, so much smoother, way way more detail and strength in the ffb. There will be so much more that you can feel that you probably didn't with a g27. I came from a t300 to this and even that was a big leap!
Yeah im expecting a pretty decent uplift from the g27 , i just want to get it now and try it out , as a grown man i dont get overly excited anymore but god im desperate to get this in hand lol its made worse seeing the other stockists have stock in now and im sat on my hands waitiing , im almost tempted to just order another one and refund with abruzzi , cheers for the video .
I ordered this from Abruzzi at the end of September and just got an email saying they expect to deliver it around the middle of January 😅 hope yours doesn't take as long!
@@cfa1994 Yeah, no i cancelled my order with abruzzi and ordered it from gt omega i had it the next day lol , check with them they probably still have it in stock . Yep just looked its still in stock with them
It's already as low as it can go. It only happens on the odd occassion, and a lot less with a recent update to the software. So hopefully it doesn't come up too often.
It would be much better if the wheel and wheel base could be purchased without the pedals at a lower price, many people who may wish to purchase the moza R5 probably already own loadcell pedals
Please see if you can help me, i bought the bundle and on Assetto corsa for exemplo o can feel the limite of the, i mean, how much i can or can not TURN in a corner, but i acc all that i feel is a heavy steering wheel, i dont have that feeling where the wheel is heavy heavy heavy heavy and now is light because i turned too much, am i crazy or could i have something done wrong
It could just be as something as simple as the FFB. The other thing could be the amount of steering rotation, as generally what you want is the software and the game matching, so I don't know if that's what you're experiencing in AC but not ACC?
I would purchase this in a second if I could just buy a bundle with the base and wheel, as I wanna get a separate, better set of pedals. I've had a g29 for 3 years and I'm finally making an upgrade to a dd. I'm hoping the R9 and other moza products will go on sale around Christmas. Nice video as well I subscribed
You're in luck my friend! Today they have announced that you'll be able to buy the base and wheel rim as separate products outside the bundle, so you don't have to get the pedals. It's not on their website as of yet (or at least when I checked earlier) but I am sure it will be soon.
What’s your thoughts on going from a Thrustmaster ts xw to the moza r5 or money better spent going up to the r9 . Just wondering will I notice much difference going from a decent belt driven wheel to the entry level dd option Cheers
There's definitely a noticeable difference coming from a belt driven wheel to a DD! I've come from a t300 and there's way more detail, more pronounced communication of the effects and it's much smoother. You could go for the R9 if you wanted a little bit extra power and have the cash, but I doubt you'll see much difference between the R5 and r9
@@Yorkie065 went for the r9 had all sorts of problems trying to set it up Acc wont recognise my wheel Using the supplied usb cable for my Thrustmaster t c/m pedals computer shows pedals but moza won’t recognise it . Not a happy camper lol
@@Yorkie065 Well on their website the bundle is listed as £569 (ex VAT). If you then get to the order page shipping is £104.50 so the total is £673.50 but there is no indication if that includes VAT or Import tax & duty so it could be substantially higher. Ah, I see Abruzzi sell the bundle for a more reasonable total price of £583.40
I was more jokingly pointing out the missing decimal point, as no way is it £68,280 as per your first comment lol. But yeah, it's still a very good price for what it is, and even more so at £583.40!!
Yeah unfortunately if your shipping to u.s. you gotta pay anywhere from $100 to $200 depending on what all you get. For the R9, a wheel, and pedals shipping was $225. Fucking insane… :(
I wanted to jump on moza so badly. They just dont have enough wheel rims. Bit nit picky but I do not like the look of there current line up of wheels. None fit my style of driving and they all seem to be overly cluttered with buttons and LED. Until they add something like fanatecs nascar rim with a universal button hub for a cleaner and more enjoyable feel. I'm giving moza a few years to actually build there ecosystem for more driving styles.
That's fair. They do have the CS Steering wheel which is fully circular and not tooo many buttons (compared to the others), the RS V2 is also fully circular but has quite a lot of buttons on it. They are continuing to build their echo system though and coming out with more rims and accessories. Keep an eye on them in the future.
You can trust them. Moza are listening to feedback from their buyers and the community and continually improving their products with each new product released. My only concern is some of the shipping costs that I've heard floating around from purchases.
I won't advise anyone to buy Moza things ever, they did not even try to RMA my broken R5 brake pedal correctly. It took them from April 30th to July 11th, 2024 to get me a working brake pedal again, and you know that the issue is a persistent issue/reoccurring error (in all their brake pedal models) they should have already fixed for all users. And if you are one of the lucky ones who had a good RMA service, think about those who have been left with next to no service from Moza (China)or their intermediaries (Rseat France/Germany (in my case the intermediary of Hardware Experts, the Netherlands)))and their retailers (in my case: Hardware experts, Lelystad, the Netherlands( Bram Nijs & Jorgo Rinu)). Never buy their products if you want to play it safe.

Hi. and how would you compare Moza R5 with Thrustmaster TSPC. which base has a stronger FFB. ? Regards.
Absolutely! Has taking several program adjustments to dial in a good feel that doesn’t beat you to death.

Just make sure if you buy the bundle that you add the brake mod and the clutch pedal.
it will infact be my first dd wheel, and also my first wheel in general. Cant wait
Ordered mine 10 days ago. Should be here soon. Can’t wait to get it up and racing!
so i ordered mine 6 days ago, are u happy with ur whell?
The optional clutch is nice. But is there a H-pattern shifter to go along with the base? Can't find anything on the website.
Not currently, no. Not sure if there is one coming from Moza either.
Now they do have one though. It’s the most feature complete H-pattern as well with built-in assists

Any steering wheel MOZA v2 Works in R5 guys.
does the Moza R5 have a xbox menu button or any way to map a button to it? Kinda the same function like pressing Windows key + G
It does not, no.
Is the MOZA website only place that ships to U.S. ?
Would it be possible to add a deep dish wheel with a quick release adapter?
You'd have to get a certain adapter to work with the base if you wanted, but they're not officially supported and very much done at your own risk.
