    Glad to see they listen to the fans and up the difficulty. The unbalanceness of some maps seems par for the course because this SE+ mode seems to be made after the main game is finished. Maybe they can balance the game better with this new SE+ mode in the next game if they have it in mind since the beginning​ of development.

      Yea i hope they have different modes to cater to the specific groups,
      -The easier modes for those who wanna just use any mechs casually
      -The harder modes being fair challenges for the ones that seek them,
      We kinda lack the latter, until SE+ seem to finally rebalance the challenge

    For the DLC characters like Chirico and Mizazuki you're better off waiting till your entire Squad has leveled up somewhat since the level they spawn at it's based off the average your pilots have.

      Yeah, kinda wish it was balanced around their level though since I'd like to have them as an option early on if I wanted, but it is what it is

    Small error. Expert stats does not end after the Space and Earth route ends. (Which is the of Chapter 3.)
    It ends after Chapter 1.
    Been playing on a fresh new game doing all missions been pretty easy going to be hard when I tackle star missions only on a fresh new game.
    No repeatable missions is really sad because there are small story bits in those and you miss all of that. Which I don't like.
    If you give them good parts zero upgraded units and pilots can kill things so you can use them.

    Shit costs way too high. It encourages only buffing a few units and ignore 95% of the roster

    Definitely interesting to see how the special alternate difficulty modes have evolved in the years. We have Ex-Hard mode for the PS2 games, the NG+ for SRW W allowing you to customize enemy levels, and SE+ in this game. Makes the game eras more unique to experience.

    I would be interested in seeing you stream no carry SE+ (hopefully I can make it if you do) to see how you'd manage your resources and strats. Do you have a top 10 in mind for the best carry on a no carry run?
    I agree that SE+ feels to be in the right direction, and it's been rough trying to do a no carry run where you have less than 50% hit grunts most of the time. And on some maps like the stage where you get Build Tiger. I had to resort to using the spirit parts just to get through it since 3 bosses early game was a bit too much.
    I would say that the value of some supporter's passive definitely increase in this mode which is nice. (Like Astonaige's +50% boost to repair and Josh's no morale penalty on resupply)
    I think the stage that I'm most worried about right now is the one where you have to clear the initial estranger enemies within 3 turns and then the stem bools within 2 turns of appearing. Mostly because if I'll have enough carries by the time I get to that map.

      At this point you can mostly pick whoever, as long as they're a main from their series. But you have to commit to an early unit, and from my experience one that has a high evasion, like Red 5, the Huckebein might work out too. Actual tanking units are really risky to use because things hit so hard early on, so dodge tanks are way safer, with upgrades to mobility and parts that give mobility.

    I always thought being able to use spirits on yr opponents turn made the game irreversibly broken. Glad they put it like older games for this mode.

      You can still get around it. Game still lets you use stuff like love and bravery on the enemy turn

    This mode is for the challenge sake seeing as you have to use as little units as possible which is probably not how i would ever want to play a srw game...but then again you could deploy your entire dream team for an added challenge and like lets say impose a rule on yourself like each one needs to kill a unit per stage at least

      This is definitely my problem. It pigeonholes you into using very specific units and incentives fielding as few units as humanly possible in order to avoid getting instagibbed

    Nice.
    So is there gonna be a guide for fresh SE+ runs early game?
    I got some tips to make it easier, like avoiding missions that recruit new units as long as possible to increase your average killcount and levels. You will soon see pilots join with ace bonus already

      It'll be an overall guide, I have yet to see how the late game goes but seeing how far I got with just Cybaster, if I can get a few units to that point It'll be easier than when I went through the first time.
      And yeah, some of the recruit missions are rough. May resort to doing those by the end of the base game.

      The +20 SP to all pilots in the AOS is a must.
      Been doing a fresh run while getting all the pilots early has been rough. But thay 20+ SP to all well worth it.

      @@johnbalkin8223 is SP up +9 enough to work with? The increased cost makes AOS upgrade much tougher so you prob want to be stingy with MxP, but they didn't change anything about PP cost, so SP +9 seems as easy to get on all your important units as in every other difficulty, although the first AOS upgrade for +10 SP is cheap enough to prob still go for early.
      I discussed with friends to find the most optimal path of AOS, and the first upgrade we agree with is to go for AOS lvl 2 first to unlock MxP converter and then prob AOS lvl 3 for Credit gain meter

    so about my run on new game without carryover and NO dlc/side missions and onboardMissions
    a LOT Happened
    i was stuck on Battle of Ceres
    its too hard,too many enemies and the boss which shows on turn 3 its also really strong
    after getting like 5 game overs in a row
    i noticed something weird the gespenst/Giliam
    EVERYTIME on enemy phase when a enemy attacks they got like 0 % of just a low chance of hit him
    make sense since precognition gilliam skill works like that(30% of evasion on enemy phase)
    but then
    i noticed EVERY TIME i click on Change Weapon Button ( it doenst matter if is counter/defense/evade)
    the enemy % percentage to hit gespenst increases!
    i was "wtf"
    then i started to just press start battle and take what the game gaves me on first sight on battle forecast screen
    turns out genspent was gettin most of the times 0 % or a less than 20% chance of getting hit
    si yeah i found a bug but i dunno why this was happening
    so i load my complete savefile to see ace bonus on gilliam and yeah; + 20% evasion and + 1 move...
    so there 2 possibilites
    1: even on newgame Gilliam/Gespenst if u do NOT click on Change weapon and just go with what the games gaves u
    his ace bonus triggers,it doesnt matter if it is a ace or not
    2:every time a enemy attack gilliam games Think gilliam is evading Without attacking,giving him the evade bonus evasion and
    letting him attack with whoever which weapon it cames on the forecast screen battle
    i noticed that when i started to click on evade and noticed it was the Same % hit percentage it was b4 i clicked on change weapon
    and if u click on evade and then go back to counter,u can notice the increase on enemy hit % percentage
    my hunch its the 2 possibility but i cant discard the first one...need more tests
    with that i decided to restart my new game SE+ Run Without carryover and without dlc missions and sidemissions/onboard
    to invest on genspent to be the Dodge tank and Grungust to be the nuke(at least from the start since he cames with valor)
    on my try the first 4 missios money i put on cybuster...and it wasn't the way i expected

    Eh, I did a expert, no upgrades, only star missions run and it was way harder, it is fun to abuse lucky star on s ekisupaato + though

    They did not rescale the stats pn SEM. Like, the mos threathening character is them Hikaru Midorikawa Space conqueror version and gg. Imma brute force even harder rules on SEM+

    how many re runs do you need to comfortably play through this mode?

      I would say 2-3 playthroughs for a relatively comfortable run, since the AOS and unit upgrades are really expensive in this mode.
      If your first playthrough was done completing side missions and simulations/relics, you could get away with 1 playthrough if you know what you're doing.

    Any reason i should buy the expansion pass if i dont want the super expert difficultly?

      You get Getter Robo Devolution, Ultimate Dancouga, Shinkalion, Scopedog 30, Red 5+ and Dygenguar, along with 30ish more missions. If you do go through the game in SE+ you get 10 extremely broken parts you can carry over

      @@RevoSKL nice maybe in october ill buy both the season pass and expansion(ill cancel one of my preorders for november) buying 2 5000 yen eshops in CAD is close to $120
