Ting-Lu: Immune to almost all damage, but slowly "leaks" hp; you have to survive while keeping it from healing too much with its Shell Bell. The Quartet was supposed to be even stronger than they are today. Before the official release all the mons had higher stats. I know the thumbnail is a reference to the emperors in one piece and chi yu, being red most corresponds to shanks. But it still bothers me that it has a sword in the thumbnail despite being a special attacker and chien pao being the one who has _sword_ of ruin for its ability
I think you are wrong about what happens when all 4 are on the field because each Ruin ability does not work on those who have that same specific Ruin ability. For example, Wo-Chien would not lower his own attack but would hit extra hard with Physical moves like Foul Play on Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu due to Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin lowering their Defence. But he would not hit Chien Pao harder with Physical attacks because Chien Pao does not lower his own Defence.
2:23 This isn’t TECHNICALLY true, right? Because they don’t apply the changes to themselves. Everyone would have all debuffs BESIDE their own. Ironically, this would make Chien-Pao feel Physically bulkier, Ting-Lu specially stronger, Chi-Yu specially bulkier, and Wo-Chien physically stronger.
I dont keep up with comp pokemon but the fact that a move that always crits, multihits, and damage cant be lowered by conventional means isnt banned is mind boggling
Not gonna lie, Plusle and Minum could get a mega with an ability that auto Megas the other one with the plus and minus abilities respectively stapled on
I feel like if they’re gonna make abilities as powerful as these ones, they’d have to do the opposite effect; positive stat multipliers for the Pokemon and their partner. The treasures of ruin's theme goes so hard, I cannot put any other song to play in game
2:22 am I missing something? In my mind a physical attack from a wo chien or a special attack from ting lu would do more damage than usual to either of the others. It doesn't seem like they cancel out at all
I got a question, how are physical attackers more prevalent than special ones this gen with stuff like intimidate and burn? Plus rough skin, rocky helmet, etc, I feel like there’s more against physical attackers than what special ones have to deal with
i don't care if wo chien is bad, they're my special snail friend, and we're going to go eat tomatoes together. the rest of you can have your battles, endlessly laboring to determine who is best, but we're having a little treat and a nice walk.
Michael was insane on this thumbnail. Im gonna be seeing these faces in my nightmares tonight.
I know the thumbnail is a reference to the emperors in one piece and chi yu, being red most corresponds to shanks. But it still bothers me that it has a sword in the thumbnail despite being a special attacker and chien pao being the one who has _sword_ of ruin for its ability
Its done, the greatest thumbnail of all time has been created. Nothing will ever top this.
thumbnails just keep hitting new peaks
The thumbnail is actually really good woah
I think you are wrong about what happens when all 4 are on the field because each Ruin ability does not work on those who have that same specific Ruin ability. For example, Wo-Chien would not lower his own attack but would hit extra hard with Physical moves like Foul Play on Ting-Lu and Chi-Yu due to Chien-Pao's Sword of Ruin lowering their Defence. But he would not hit Chien Pao harder with Physical attacks because Chien Pao does not lower his own Defence.

This isn’t TECHNICALLY true, right? Because they don’t apply the changes to themselves. Everyone would have all debuffs BESIDE their own.
Ironically, this would make Chien-Pao feel Physically bulkier, Ting-Lu specially stronger, Chi-Yu specially bulkier, and Wo-Chien physically stronger.
What’s the thumbnail reference
One Piece, new Yonkos
I dont keep up with comp pokemon but the fact that a move that always crits, multihits, and damage cant be lowered by conventional means isnt banned is mind boggling
Ngl the one piece thumbnail made it so I had to support this video
Not gonna lie, Plusle and Minum could get a mega with an ability that auto Megas the other one with the plus and minus abilities respectively stapled on
Great video, super well thought out.
I feel like if they’re gonna make abilities as powerful as these ones, they’d have to do the opposite effect; positive stat multipliers for the Pokemon and their partner.
Maybe it could be spread to ALL Pokemon on the field like these guys do with theirs, but it’d be SIGNIFICANTLY stronger if it was exclusive to your side.
I love the thumbnail dawg lmaoooo you got it right
I wouldn't be surprised if they come back with a reduced drop, like 1/8th instead of 1/4th.
Bro I love the way the cover looks like the 4 yonko
They need a 9th gen mystery dungeon with these as some.sort of main boss
Bruv is that the four war lords (buggy, shanks,Blackbeard and Luffy)
That Marcos Perez seems to be a cool guy, maybe you could invite him to a video
is it actually true that nothing happens when they’re all on the field together? each ability does not impact itself
funny to think that clefairy/maushold friend guard is like wo chien and ting lu abilities at the same time
why did you drag my favorite pokemon in the first 20 seconds i'm crying
I don't care about the video I'm here just to praise that awesome thumbnail.
i can only imagine what would happen if an ability automatically set trickroom or gravity and the like. would be broken and funny.
Lets take a second to apreciate the 4 emperors of the sea x the treasures of ruin thumbnail, so awesome
The blatant One Piece reference along with the fact that these 4 are called Treasures of Ruin..
This image is so peak
Just wait until you get a Pokémon that completely nullify any typing. We already have one that does that for abilities.
bro casually has the hardest thumbnails in existence
I am running Weezing just so I never have to account for the Ruins' abilities when calcing
5:14 Urmh, acshually the strongest priority move in the game is Brave Bird whilst Gale Wing is active 🤓☝️
