great video again ! I saw somewhere that 1.FC Magdeburg are the only pre existing East German side to win a European honour they won the cup winners cup in 1974.
I am a big Fan of your videos cause i like it, that you are so interested in our German Football history. I hope you will visit a game of HSV. Sadly in the second german division today, but also very traditional with a lot if fans over the world. I am very excited for the next Videos. 👍
Great video! I love the city of Dresden !♥️ . You cracked me up when you said Billy Idol 😂😂😂😂😂 great sense of humour 🙏love it! ⚽️ btw it reminded me of Loughborough Dynamo Football Club which is a club I have a soft spot for .
Really enjoying your content. As a German living in an English-speaking country I see England v Germany more as a brotherly rivalry than the more extreme ‘enemies’ viewpoint ppl hold. Some of my best and closest friends are English, proving that we can be brothers-in-arms 😂
Alan Shields Hamilton South Lanarkshire Scotland. The oldest record football club was from Edinburgh . Foot - Ball Club was the name 1824 to 1841. Sheffield F.C. is the oldest club still to exist. Foot - Ball Club did not not play buy what we know as the Cambridge rules today K.A..A F.A rules. But nether did Sheffield F.C they played buy The Sheffield rules & the Sheffield rules where very quirky from what I understand they used tape for a crossbar & after scoring you had to pick the ball up & tape it against the tape they used for the crossbar for it to count as a goal. When football first emerged from The University's in England it looked a lot more like what we call Rugby Union today a kick & rush game ( run game ) much like you would still see in Rugby Union today. It was not until What we know as football today reached Scotland did it begin to change to the pass & move game we know today. The problem in England was football was a rich mans game a very elitist game whare in Scotland it was rapidly adopted as a working class game & as the working class where used to working together it was natural they would work as a team on the pitch as they had to at work in the factory & so on. As football in England started to edge towards professionalism many Scots where paid handsomely to move South & play the game for clubs like Darwen & Blackburn Olympic also Scottish football managers where tempted to move South aswell. The English game on Netflix gives us a good idea of what the game & life was like in they day's during the industrial revolution though not 100% acute it still gives us a good idea of what it was like to play the game back then. You say The English took football to Germany I see you Germany & I rase you Argentina, Brazil, Spain & Russia us Scots took the game to all four country's. In England it was It was William McGregor originally from Perth how had moved down to Birmingham for business reasons how was director of Aston Villa how first had the idea to for a football league in England but if he had not got the English directors of the other founding member club to buy in to the idea we never get the first football league in England. The point I am trying to get access is it's only buy us Brits all working together as one that we have the game we have today could football. It's The British game Or more importantly The Pepole's game world wide. I laugh when England fans say football is coming home it's much more complex than the song would have you believe when football comes home it will be to The United Kingdom not England alone. Keep Safe to you & your entire family loving the content..
@RysFootyParadise As they say, every day is a school day. I am very in to the Social history of sports & what lead to the formation of individual clubs. I learn a lot from reading up & from watching other football You Tubers. Like Alexander Watson Hutton the funder of The Argentine Football . Association ( A.F.A ) moved to Argentina from Scotland due to the damp wether in Scotland making his health problems worse I think he had bronchitis C.A Banfield are named after Edward Banfield a train driver from North Devon. Arthur Davidovich MacPherson Founder of The Russian . Football. Union was put in prison for his role in making football popular in The Soviet Union as it was seen as being dangerous to Communist ideals he died in a Russian prison his crime helping make football popular in Russia. I had a Stoke back in 2013 As a result it's more difficult to get to games.
