I really enjoyed the fight scene, but as a former high school principal, I’ll share my secret for breaking up most school yard fights without being injured myself. Don’t get to the scene too early; walk slowly, but deliberately to the scene. Let ‘em duke it out for a little while. Get there when they’re both tired. They will both be glad to see you. 😎
Fun fact, the guy in the chef's hat with the knives was Dan Inosanto, who I think did the fight choreography. He is a Black belt in several styles, mainly Filipino Martial Arts and was also a student of Bruce Lee.
STUDENT??? You mean the best friend and SOUGHT AFTER training partner of Bruce? I learned Inosantos stickfighting technique, they learned from each other, almost on equal terms in prowess. Just Dan Inosanto cant kick above waist height, his hip wont allow it. Hence he wasnt as prominent in cinema back then, not being able to kick flashy was an absolute NO-GO in Hongkong cinema, his saving grace was his stickfighting, hence he has one prominent appearance as an opponent in the pagode in game of death. Cheers!
I was not expecting this, but I actually recognized the stickwork, and it's legit. Took me a few years to learn that, so I'm surprised Rob Schneider was able to make that look like it did in time for this movie. Sure, it's only a few moves, not the whole art, and it's choreographed, not an actual fight, but it still takes a while to get the movement right.
It’s almost incredible how many people try to critique literal fictional movies now a days. The point of a movie is to escape reality, this movie was made with the intentions of it being ridiculous. That’s literally the point 😂
wtf are some of these comments? are half of you drunk? This movie is a comedy it is not intended to be some epic action scene, it is meant to be goofy. Oh and FYI the same person left about 50 comments for their hatred for rob which is just idiotic, LOL.
I did some time in prison for loitering and this is how every prison fight happens if the fight is done right. A short Asian guy appears duel wielding knives. He's like a secret boss.
"Who was that guy (chef)?" Well - That was Guru Dan Inosanto, one of a few people to have been certified by Bruce Lee in JKD, a master in Kali, and holder of 4 black belts. He also taught the stick fighting moves for this scene.
"Take the stick". "Don't take the stick". Everyone's a critic when they're on the sidelines; and their ass isn't on the line. Stan gave the guy 3 chances to make a different choice and he failed all three times. There's a lesson in there somewhere for all of us. When you're getting an outcome you don't want, it's probably time to consider doing something else. Good movie and performance by Rob S.
@@BitsofRealPanther Me too, my friend. That particular part of the movie clip although funny, really resonated with me on a deeper level. Being able to think/reason for one's self is so critical; especially when we're being told to DO as we are instructed by those in power and authority (ie the Covid19 era) and to leave ALL the thinking to them. Anyone who buys into that kind of conditioning is on a pathway of self destruction. Thank you for your comment; as well as for your time. Blessings from above.
Im 100% sure you're right on the money as to why they even wrote this scene that way. Ain't none of those fools would have taken the stick if their ass was on the line.

Better than anything Steven Seagal has done
Cheers!
@@horsthooden4600 I will admit my knowledge is limited. No need to bite my head off.
I think Rob does have some martial arts training.
siniwalli escrima kali dan inosanto is good at this
It took me awhile for me to realize that this movie wasn't "The Longest Yard"
6:14 "Damn even the asian!" had me dieing lmao
Lol, nice didn't catch that before.
Lol
Rob Schneider will never top his performance in THE STAPLER.
Somebody took my stapler?

Derp a derp derp.
It’s almost incredible how many people try to critique literal fictional movies now a days. The point of a movie is to escape reality, this movie was made with the intentions of it being ridiculous. That’s literally the point 😂
Well said.
You're the 1st guy in the comments who gets it!
Take the stick take it take it, no no don't take the stick lol 🤣
I like how that asian cooker appears out of nowhere and tries to fight Stan lol
wtf are some of these comments? are half of you drunk? This movie is a comedy it is not intended to be some epic action scene, it is meant to be goofy. Oh and FYI the same person left about 50 comments for their hatred for rob which is just idiotic, LOL.
This movie is AWESOME!
Thank you. Semper fi.
thank you John Gate
Never seen this film before-what a fight seen-love it.😃😄🙂
every man's dream...to be a bad ass like big stan.
I did some time in prison for loitering and this is how every prison fight happens if the fight is done right. A short Asian guy appears duel wielding knives. He's like a secret boss.
That scene & dialogue is so random it caught me off guards ngl
This is how I imagine I'd be if I went to prison.
The guy picking up his teeth.
That's funny shit right there!
"Scientologists: They'll talk your ear off and then sue your ass." 😆
I never seen this movie before but now I got to 😂
I have to watch this now, don't know how I missed this
def
It was much better than I thought it would be.
"Who was that guy (chef)?" Well - That was Guru Dan Inosanto, one of a few people to have been certified by Bruce Lee in JKD, a master in Kali, and holder of 4 black belts. He also taught the stick fighting moves for this scene.
For real?

This movie shows you that there is a solution to every problem and Big Stan can find that solution.
I like the lesson you incorporated there, forhisglory700!

Me too, my friend.
