I cant get over the germany timelapse. In the beginning there was the war with france but then they formed an alliance and other european countries popped up around them. Really great to see. Also i love the way the belgian flag turns into mustard and ketchup for the german bratwurst :D

Well the Germans had to get their need of conquering out of them ;) Just love the fact that they took over France yet again and then was sorry and created an alliance.
Its also kinda historically accurate since one of the first stuff germany destroyed on their quest to tge west was the writing "Österreich" or austria in german, so they even had a second Anschluß
And then Sweden, Norway and The Netherlands and Chekoslovakia just make a happy group up top, far far away!

-German is still a menace, but is kind enough to let people do stuff with them as a background.
-French vs Spanish
-Osu becoming the guardian of everything around it
-Gacha Games collaboration and alliance (Genshin, Arknights, Guardian Tales, Fate, etc.)
-void turning into an indescribable, beautiful...thing
- LMAO CANADA
-XQC becoming the #1 most hated dude there
-Amongi infestation
This was hilarious to watch all together. I had like 5 streamers streams open I was watching at the same time on the last 2 days when things where kicking up. 😂😂😂
It's really funny that Quebec could have a complete flag with icons of it's culture in it, but Canada couldn't even make a maple leaf.

No, it's not good. Memes were a huge part of /r/place. It's like parents protesting against new trends. It's called a meme, get over it, don't like it? call it a joke. You just skipped over one of the best aspects of human life. Humor. Not to mention it is one of the most popular aspects of "Internet Culture". I thumbs up your video, but thumbs down this comment.

I only heard about /r/place today, as of writing this reply. It's so interesting I'm now watching as much as I can. It reminds me of the time a guy sold a pixel of space on a website for $1 each although this is less about capitalism and more about team work. Even if Germany swallowed France, the people of both flags worked together to build (or re-build) their flag

Yey!! I was a strong part of r/SquareSpiral which did indeed include negotiating, forming alliances and protecting each others' art ^^ Although screw Finland, they expanded over our art even though we had only ever tried to be friends with everyone lol
But it was good fun, we actually came together pretty well, especially considering our art wasn't based on anything pre-existing e.g. countries or games, literally just a simple pattern we all quite liked...

It wasnt r/Finland that extended the flag, it was vandalism by trolls, they tried extending other flags too, then r/Finland added the moomi-characters there

I was Part of the omori Defence group. Germany was actually pretty Kind and let us built stuff in their flag! WE have 2 characters from our Game Hidden in their flag!
i dont know if the same happened in 2017 but this years was heavily edited at the end. they fixed allot of the lgbt flags in the final screenshot that where taken over by a streamer. and they had overlays of everyones art to clean up and fix parts that where out of place. felt like a bit of a cheat but i get why they did it because allot of communities where under attack by 4chan

What I love is that there is sooo much stuff in the final image. Every time you look, you see something new, even tho it hasn't changed. You could go over the same spot several times and still miss stuff.

“No hate symbols” Kekistan is in the bottom right next to stary night
The actual kekistan symbol is covered up cause when r/place ended it was being subsumed by the pride flag. Now it looks like a Kekistan flag that someone spray painted the rainbow over, which I feel like is a pretty rad symbol of fascist-resistance.

2:28 the Philippines woke up
I think one of my absolute favorite moments of alliance within r/Place was when the rainbow was on a course to run over Waldo. Instead of just drawing the rainbow under Waldo someone drew two portals from the game Portal around Waldo and the rainbow went through that. Most of Waldo has been consumed by the Void but you can still clearly see where the rainbow entered and exited the portals if you look at the Italian flag.
