❤ Melissa. You’re apologizing for taking so long to open this particular baby. And I actually enjoyed the time you took opening it. It felt to me like when you get a Christmas present with a rare paper and you don’t wanna destroy the paper. And I actually enjoyed that feeling. Don’t be sorry for anything that you do. Everything that you do I enjoy ❤ your channel. 💜❤️💛🧡💚💙
I’ve possibly ordered from RPF for the past 3 weeks in a row 😬 time to put myself on a ban. My favorite unicorn plant so far though is the pink black velvet. She’s so precious
hehe it's so tempting to buy plants on their site. The PBV's are soo pretty! I got mine from RPF as well and the color is so good on it. Definitely a fav alocasia! 💖
OMG!! So happy for you!!! I can't wait to see her thrive in your care! 😍😍 Cupreas are my favorite out of the alocasias so far, especially variegated ones. You make me want to get one so badly!!😻😻I'm so happy that you spoiled and treated yourself to something 💝💝
The long time it took you to open it built up so much excitement! I KNEW it was some sort of variegated Cuprea though because you had just spoke about one in a video. (I’m binging all the old videos of yours I missed) 😅💚😂
It looks like you can grow beautiful plants. During the pandemic many people bought and killed plants that they were not prepared to grow or have correct conditions it was distressing to watch. Take care enjoy your new plant.
I love watching your unboxings 🎉 Thanks for filming it! Gorgeous 😍 I’ve been wanting to order from RPF but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. Maybe next spring. I’m really trying to go on a ban 🙈! Thanks for the video💖
Glad I filmed it! 💕 I need to ban myself too now lol 🙈 definitely give them a go sometime if you're looking for a rare plant. I've been happy with my purchases from them and the plants have done well :)
Stunning !!! The anthurium i purchased from you has 7 leaves on it already! I'm trying so hard to get one of your alocasias but I work on Fridays so it's been fun trying. Thank you for sharing this beauty with us😊
Such a good feeling. Very pleased you allowed yourself to do what makes you happy. I just pulled the trigger on a Loco *and* a Green Unicorn 🤭 - that’s gonna be a good plant mail day ☺️
Wow it looks pristine for being in the mail that long! I really need to order from them because all the specimen are perfect! ❤ 11:34 if you’re really worried about pests, you can put it in a cloche or something to keep it isolated! 13:55 OMGOSHHH the mature form!!! 😍😍
I had to repot 2 of my alocasias out of stratum today. I was so surprised by how many roots they had. And on top of that one of them is already making corms. 😮 I didn't know they made corms when they're babies. I'm so happy about their progress 😊
I have been watching your unboxing video on the alocasia black velvet pink variegated on repeat and can happily say I have just purchased one myself! She is a tissue culture, but in Australia, it's hard to find such rare plants so I'll take what I can :). ! I'll be watching your videos on how to care for it and fingers crossed, there will be some nice pink in it, I am a bit worried there are a few white leaves... so I'm praying I can look after her! Thank you so much for the videos!
I was right guessing 🙌🏻lol because your last video you stated you wanted the highly variegated cuprea 👏🏻beautiful lil specimen that we all get to watch grow. Will you put it on a moss pole?
Hehe so excited for it! No poles for alocasia but I’ll probably add a stake to support the main rhizome as it grows up. My big micholitziana needs something else soon because it’s started to lean 🙈
It's beautiful!! Love alocasia's at the moment. I bought a pink bambino and a dragons breath. The last one was 5 euro's and had already 6 corns. Can you believe that?!
I was about to say rare plant fairy is overpriced and not worth it but a variegated cuprea? 😍 I found a cuprea at sprouts market with a. Pink spot and I snatched it. Wish it had more variegation though
I’m guessing that as soon as a plant UA-camr is making enough off their videos to pay taxes, they can write off anything plant related. So hopefully she’s been taking advantage of that for years!
I always love how excited you get over a new plant. I get excited too but I feel like no one understands until I watch these videos 😂.
Your introvert excitement energy is so cool. Thank you for reviving houseplant love in me.

Wow, Melissa, you’re spoiling us. That’s the 4th video post this week. I could get used to this! 👏❤️🤩
💖🤗
Ooh, she's gorgeous! Good for you! She'll be so big, happy, and healthy in your care. 🥰
Wow. Congrats. Glad I was sitting down when I checked the price. I’ve bought a couple plants from Rare Plant Fairly…great shop.
That's a beauty Melissa! Cant wait to see it grow 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼😻

In Europe they are currently around 100EUR for much bigger plant. They are beautiful!

Wow! Very pretty Melissa, can’t wait to see it get bigger. Congrats ❤

They really are gorgeous! Congrats on your new unicorn. I have never purchased from this seller but every plant looks excellent.

Ahh glad it’s growing well 🥹💕 I’ll have a lot more alocasias!! I planted so many and I still have lots of corms to move over 🙈
Such a good feeling. Very pleased you allowed yourself to do what makes you happy. I just pulled the trigger on a Loco *and* a Green Unicorn 🤭 - that’s gonna be a good plant mail day ☺️
Congratulations!!
@@plantsbymelissa Thank you. I bet you are still thrilled over your Cuprea ☺️ How many is too many Alo’s? 😄 I keep telling myself I’ll stop at 50… 😏

Really beautiful plant. What specifically do you use tree fern fiber for?
I use it as a component of my aroid mix.
I got a stomach ulcer just from waiting for you to open it. 😂 I think I was excited more than you

yay! That's so exciting! Congrats on your new baby alocasia corms 😁
@@plantsbymelissa I didn't take them off. I figured I should wait
I knew what it was going to be before you opened it 😂💗
😂💕
Absolutely gorgeous 🥰
Thank you! 😊
so beautiful!! my dream plant is the variegated billie!
Before video geuss: pink cuprea. In her last video she was talking abt it.😊
Edit:I was almost right!!!
hehe close! Maybe one day I can get a pink one 😻

Awww shucks she's lovely! I love her color 😊❤ TFS. Hi Chi Chi
Thank you! The color is really pretty 🤗

Thank you!! 😊
Nice, exciting to watch.❣❣❣

$550 is steep but it’s worth it if you love it! I’d definitely spent upwards up $1000 on the right plant 😁😁😁
yay i guessed alocasia 😂😂 what a cutie 💚
So pretty 😍
Thank you!
Can’t wait to see it in a few months. So pretty!
do alocasia plants go dormant in the winter ?
not if you keep them inside. Their growth just slows down.
They can - it depends on the care/environment. Under watering can lead to dormancy as well as less light and lower temps in winter.
Open, open, open!!!
I had a feeling it would be alocasia, but I was thinking maybe venom. Enjoy your new babt
Thank you!
I’m just curious…do you get to write all these “unicorns” off on your taxes now that you have the plant shop? She’s gorgeous 🤩🤩🪴🪴
I’m guessing that as soon as a plant UA-camr is making enough off their videos to pay taxes, they can write off anything plant related. So hopefully she’s been taking advantage of that for years!
@@Planty-Mandythat’s actually smart and then she can sell the corms
