Make sure you LIKE and SHARE the video so it can spread to more people :) Loved my time at Bar-A. The place is so new but the food is incredibly good. It blows my mind that you can go there right now and not have to wait more than 15 minutes to get one of the best briskets, ribs and sausage I've had in my life. I remember sitting in the dining room on Thursday afternoon feeling melancholic because I knew that the next time I came, we wouldn't be messing around in the back kitchen because the dining room was empty at 1pm. The people are too good, their story is too good, and the food is just way to good to not have a line out the door until sell out. This is probably what Daniel Vaughn felt like after he tried Goldee's for the first time hahaha I'll never forget the hospitality and just overall great time I had with Cooper, Shelby, Caleb and everyone at Bar-A. I'm telling you next texas BBQ crawl you do, add BAR-A to your list, you won't regret it! If you enjoyed the video give it a like and share it with your friends/family. It helps the video perform better so I can make more of these documentary style videos for y'all.
Im from South Africa. I have a passion for bbq! I try my best to do my humble version of bbq but my ultimate dream is to come to Texas and work/shadow in a bbq joint. I also love Texas Monthly mag!
I like how the dude keeps it real about the fact that there are days where nobody comes to your restaurant resulting in depressing times. Not many restaurant owners talk about this part of the industry.
I can't believe there's any other kinds of days. Would you eat food out of an oven that looked like that? Why do BBQ places think it's just totally normal to cook food on filthy, rusting equipment?
I agree. Same when he mentions he that it's technically expensive. He seems well connected to reality, respect the customers and seems to be enjoying what he is doing
@@ev6558 Rusting on the outside doesnt mean anything about the interior. You try keeping a smoker totally clean in Texas humidity and heat. The heat and smoke will do a lot for sterilizing the inside of a smoker, and any decent BBQ joint is cleaning the inside of their smokers on a regular basis. Theyre always going to look black/dark inside, no way to change that without replacing the smoker.
I’ve been friends with Caleb since we were about 11 and it’s so great to see him and his family’s success with Bar-A. It’s also fun to see him being just as goofy in front of the camera as he is around us
I moved to Texas in 2007, and I love it here. I’ve put probably 10,000-15,000 miles on my truck just traveling for bbq. Now I added Bar A to my must try in the next month. These dudes and gal seem like people you have to meet
Bro, for a moment I thought I was watching a Eater/Munchies/WhateverFoodProDocumentaryChannel you can think of, for real, the quality of this video is out of the charts, Keep up the good work!
Stopped by this weekend for the first time, nicest people ever! Cooper made sure every customer was happy with their purchase and his dad was out front handing out free beer while you waited in line. Top quality meats and sides, Stop by and support this family!
Ate here recently, and while I can’t say I’m a Texas barbecue connoisseur, I can say this is some of the best food I’ve ever had. Definitely the best barbecue I’ve ever had. I was very much looking forward to eating Texas barbecue for the first time, and after trying this, I thought, does it really get better than this? I went here knowing I’d likely be ruined for life and I’m more than ok with that. Thank you to the BAR-A-BBQ crew for doing what you do. Eating there is was an experience I will never forget. I can’t recommend this place enough.
My family and I landed here by accident, and Texas Monthly was so right about this spot. It is absolutely at the top of my list. Beef rib, brisket, and sausage were all something of dreams. Between this spot and Tejas Barbecue in Tomball, this area has barbecue covered for us.
The food here is incredible. We stopped there while going through tx and I was so impressed. They gave us free cookies for the kids and came outside to hang out. Great food, great people!
First, amazing style of documentary/filming Secondly, you can just tell this family loves having this business Lastly, when he said “people will forget what you sold them but they wont forget how you made them feel” i felt that & hope nothing but great things for the business and their fam
I met some of the guys from Bar-A last month at the Goldee's class...they were all very humble and really nice guys. It's so awesome to see their success through passionately serving people with great BBQ. I live in socal, however they will be on my list when I make it back to Texas. Thank you Ant for exposing a great story!
Man, I almost went to that class but canceled last minute! That's awesome that you got to meet them! Def go visit them in Montgomery, I'm telling you it's insane that they have no long lines for the quality of food they're putting out!
I cried through the whole video. So cool to see the family work together. The guy with all his tattoos and his cross around his neck, and his smile. Wifey and baby in the kitchen. I love when you see people that love making other people happy in life. I am sure our family will meet them we live a few miles away in Montgomery County.
Cooper has assembled a great team. Family plus some great complimentary employees. The love and effort that they put into everything they do is obvious and that is why the finished product is so spot on. Congratulations on being one of the finest BBQ spots in a state known for excellent BBQ!
Went to Bar-A this past weekend because of this video, and I can HIGHLY recommend it. Everything was amazing, but what blew my mind was the sausage...sweet baby back ribs, that sausage was incredible. The beed rib was also a mind-blower. Staff was super friendly, place was very clean, and of course the bbq was on point.
Bro the editing in this is great, it’s like a legit Doc. Respect, I know how much effort goes into a video like this and just capturing what you want to be seen how you see it, Kudos.
I went there in February for a friends wedding that was happening close by. The owners are amazing and even got to chat with the guys and see the cooking set up. Very amazing to get shown around while they are working.
Man you deserve so many more subscribers, legit some of my favorite food content anywhere. Love your passion and keeping the focus on the people doing cool shit
SheeeeeeeWEEE I needed to watch this. I saved it to watch at the end of a looong 16 hour smoke (battling the elements of rain/wind/temp drop). I recently started a strictly “tx style” bbq jawn up here in Nashville called Backstage BBQ and get to run my business out of the kitchen at Dee’s Country cocktail Lounge (one of the only real Honky Tonks left in town) and since I started a couple months back…I’ve had some of the HIGHEST highs and LOOOOWEST lows, and it’s refreshing to see the vulnerability that comes along with such a risky venture. Slicing into a brisket makes it all worth while for me. Even on the bad slow days where I just wanna go home and curl up in bed. So thank you for putting that in there. These videos keep my ass goin…and one day ima get your ass up here to check it out, ant!! Thank you for the content. Keep it comin.
Amazing documentary. Love these and your film work is spot on. I hope all these places with this love get the success they deserve. So many good people and cooks out there.
This might be a weird comment but in a good way it feels like something you would see on that directv channel I think it was the channel before channel 1 or something but man the vibes here are so good. These guys are so genuine this just puts you in a good mood.
BBQ aficionados are always surfing the wave for the next, best BBQ. Its a passionate hobby. If Texas Monthly gives them a mention, most people will give them a shot. Bonus is that's its pretty near the Texas Renaissance Faire.
Every place that opens in Texas is always the "Best New BBQ in the Country" A dime a dozen. Youve had a decent bbq spot in Texas, youve had em all. Franklin, snows, valentinas, etc.
People really don't get how much work you got to put into making BBQ and running the place. These documentaries show how hard they work and how they get it done.
This place is the truth! Im incredibly lucky to live 5minutes from them. Plan on going today as a maTter of fact. THE best mac & cheese on the planet hands down!!! :)
Damn it wasn't until I read comments that I realized this wasn't a major media channel. When I clicked on it I thought for sure it was some big magazine or news station. yall absolutely killed it.
Was in town for a wedding and happen to find this place had no idea what we were getting into..had the beef ribs and they were amazing got free beer and a tour of the pit.Nicest dudes and amazing food
Hey man, just wanted to drop a line to let you know that your docuseries are freakin awesome! It gives us an insight that we don't get to see everyday and its just so fascinating. I hope you keep these coming. Cheers!
Wow!!! I grew up in Montgomery and coach ab coached me in jr high and high school. Awesome to see him doing good!! Going to have to stop by on a Saturday.
i took a brisket class at Goldees and the guys from Bar - A were there as well. seemed like nice guys - ill have to come down to the restaurant next time im in Texas.

I keep telling people it was the best Texas Sausage I ever had, I guess the secret is to "let em burst" lol brisket is crazy too, took so many instagram reels and stories just on that. I actually didn't try the pork, next time for sure!

We are spoiled having them out here. I don’t miss the lines coming from Austin.
A+
Thank you for showcasing Bar A
🤔 interesting
The quality of these mini documentaries are phenomenal. Great job Ant keep it up!
thank you!
You took the words out of my mouth. Truly great documentary.
wtf ive watched a few of these and only just now looked at the subs, I coulda sworn this was one of those 1M+ documentary channels
I like how the dude keeps it real about the fact that there are days where nobody comes to your restaurant resulting in depressing times. Not many restaurant owners talk about this part of the industry.
I agree, I sell bbq at local farmer’s markets and events. Definitely tough days mixed in when you are ready to sell and no one shows up.
I can't believe there's any other kinds of days. Would you eat food out of an oven that looked like that? Why do BBQ places think it's just totally normal to cook food on filthy, rusting equipment?

No lie. There are definitely days where it's a ghost town... and I find myself at the shelter giving the food away.
I’ve been friends with Caleb since we were about 11 and it’s so great to see him and his family’s success with Bar-A. It’s also fun to see him being just as goofy in front of the camera as he is around us

I was thinking the same thing. Great job Ant

@@DongusMcBongus it’s definitely worth it! It was the best I’ve ever had. I will definitely be back, and gladly wait in line.

The pace and editing of these videos is phenomenal. Great story telling.
I’ve tried them all. I said it the first time I tried Bar A and I’ll say it again. There’s a new Texas BBQ King. Long live the King

I just love “T’s” mullet! It’s kinda says I like to party but I’ll keep it professional at the same time. Great haircut and sense of style
Ole School, Home Grown, Family Oriented, Country Music, can't ask for anything better than that, my respects to them, they kick ass.
Great family, love them and wish them the best
Watching these well-produced BBQ profiles is incredible! Thanks to the film crews and BBQ joints for letting everyone see into this world. So cool!
