I love, love this. So much new storage . If I was younger and hubby was still alive I would definitely do this. I have a room adjacent to my kitchen which I use as an everyday kitchen seating area. Right now it has two large ikea cabinets for things that don’t fit in my kitchen. It would be so easy to incorporate a coffee bar between them. You’ve certainly hit it out of the park with this idea

It looks beautiful, I have these cabinets havsta with both slides and doors mixed also - they are great inexpensive workhorses, I have mine instead of kitchen cabinets and as pantry, coloured glasses and crockery storage for 2-3 years now and so far they have worn very well considering that the originals I looked at were over £2000 more expensive. You have done a good job…no an excellent job. Edit: I changed those knobs though.
At first, I didn’t like the color of the tongue and groove. I kept thinking it should be white. But when you step back and see it with the table, it looks great.

What did you use to attach the 1x2's as spacers on the (wall) sides? Just nails or did you glue it too?
