MAybe learn something from the Dutch? They had scale models of Rivers and Harbours from all around the world in the 60's and tested flow characteristics on scale... So everything... flow rate.. pebles etc etc. even tide and waves. The biggest model was a 1:75 600 meter long model from the Rotterdam port. Maybe you can grind black sand in a ball mill to get it real fine. Ofcourse this model tells a lot already... It shows the principals.

When are you two going to calab?!?
Shane, how do you think slim would react to you! I bet Jeff and slim could get a lot of laughs messing with you!
I was wondering how the gold would react when say the river comes to a dam area. It's a instant low pressure some when it runs into the back up but how will it drop out because the water flows out alot smaller hole higher up.

Watching this video was super motivational for me to get back out on the river bank! I did a much better job sampling and was more thorough than I had been in the past. Currently waiting for my panning kit to come in, super excited. It will be my first time gold panning, so I am hoping that the many videos I have watched help make it a better experience. Stay epic.

I am a beginner in gold prospecting, geology and a fairly recent subscriber to your channel and I have to say...that’s the best video I’ve seen on the subject. Awesome 👏🏼 thanks 👍👍👍

Very informative and good instruction. It would of been nice to fan the camera out as well so you can see the river and obstructions and what not as a further idea of where the gold lays. Great vid tho Jeff
