The dumplings looked fantastic. I love pot stickers….but maybe they are not considered authenticly Chinese? The best are fried in oil with fresh ginger. Nom nom I grew up in Berkeley & started making food excursions to San Francisco’s Chinatown on the bus over the Bay Bridge at age 15. 😊❤
Stonemill is my absolute favorite place to go! Good drinks, good aesthetics, good ambience, good vibes, good food. Everything about them is great.
My favorite cake from them is their sesame cake but the last few times I've gone I have not been lucky for them to have it in season, or so they tell me. But at this point, I'm just gonna assume it's gone and just hope they bring it back when I go next.

ohmygosh everything in the bay area looks so good!! i live pretty close to LA, but i've never seen spots as cool as what the bay area has! those pastries from the first spot look amazing, especially the black sesame cream puff!! also i need to try pineapple king bakery if i ever visit SF, i LOVE bolo bao and that guava butter has me drooling.

Koreans have different kinds of Ja Jang Myun. But here in the States, we have mainly two, regular and gan ja jang myun. One you got most likely is gan ja jang myun- ja jang sauce is cooked without water or soup based. Consequently, ja jang sauce feels more condensed, flavorful and less watery sauce.

Hi, weird question. So I live in South Africa and usually when we get food from restaurants it would be around R70-120 or $4-$7 when converted. Anything above that starts being expensive or seen as "special occasion" treats.
I just feel as if these prices are so high or is it just because Meimei is supporting the smaller businesses that makes it so expensive?
It is also not a daily or weekly thing to eat out or get fast food here. So cool to see the diferences of cultures.
California’s prices can be a little higher than the rest of the states here :)
Those prices are very high, and I'm from the Bay Area. San Francisco also charges an employee healthcare surcharge fee which is an extra 10% or so on top of the taxes. You can get the same quality of food for less if you eat in the suburbs or in cities other than SF. It looks like she spent at least $100 on food for that outing, which isn't unusual for a special treat, but definitely too much to do every day. Don't get me wrong though, I do know people who spend money on food like that regularly. I used to, but cook mostly at home though. When I go out to eat, I usually like to keep it around $60 max, and I LOVE food. Californian's are known to eat out A LOT.
I live in California and the amount of food consumed daily by Meimei and her friends is not normal. Keep in mind that she’s v-logging, so the frequency and quantity of food is extreme. Sadly, the prices are on the high side so most people limit eating out and cook in most days.
