This is such a great topic I haven't seen anyone talk about it but soooo important bc I've seen so many ppl in virtual meetings looking sooo bored lol. I love when presenter communicates with everyone in the chat this way everyone stays engaged.
Becoming a pro-active facilitator is something I tend to do naturally, I love these tips! Your audience loves it when they feel like the conversation is organized
On point as usual Riaz and I got a lot out of this too. When I hold Zooms I do look across the panel and some faces that are super focused I worry because they're hard to read. Now I stop after each point and get them to engage, it keeps the energy moving and flowing.
Thanks Nisreen. Good call on your part. Consistent check ins to ensure they're still with you are vital in the virtual space. Also, no hotel bathrobes allowed in the meetings 😂
"Embrace the silent standoff" - genius!!! Incorporating this into my teaching years ago was a game-changer. Thanks for sharing these helpful tips Riaz 🥰
Great video! We are about to start livestream services for our church plant launching in September. Lots more virtual room interaction in our future. I am excited to see the rest of your content. This was great!
Love this one! I think I might have even requested this. Woohoo! More great tips, thanks Riaz! Love the tip about allowing for silence... sometimes it seems WAY longer than the reality, nice reminder!
Such great tips. Thanks Riaz. The virtual nature of things these days has made things difficult. Of course those of us who do business online are somewhat used to that, but it’s still great to have these pointers. I love the silence tip. That is always a difficult one, but effective in my experience.
These are awesome pointers I have a virtual online class coming up and your tips will help me better connect with my students. Thank you for sharing this video :)
Very helpful advice! I always enjoy virtual sessions when they are more structured and you feel the connection of building relationships with the host and/or group.
My favorite tip was to give people a head's up before calling upon them. I was just in a meeting today where the host said she got scolded for calling upon people without warning. I was glad to hear that because she had done that to me. It's so awkward when you're not prepared. Particularly if you need to screen share and have too many browser windows open. Yikes!
Ohhh my gosh! This is way interesting honestlyyy! I left it on watch later so that I can take notes and see the video until the end! But I guess reading body language signs can be super helpful to have greater communications❤
Getting to the point when talking with your audience and building structure are some of the best tips to give! I think all of your three tips were great! I find that building relationships and having a structured talk are both very important aspects.
I've really been enjoying the content you've been putting out lately. Covid has changed so much when it comes to managing groups/collaborating with teams.
I give a lot of webinars and teach classes too, all virtual and I even coach speakers with their speach, so YESSSS, it IS possible to read the room! Great tips. I usually don't wait for volunteers as it tends to take time, but I call out someone.

These tips are right on point! I can see how these play out in events that I have attended. Now I know how to read the room!
Thanks Elizabeth. When all else fails, cut to the doodle nurse to hypnotize the room!
Great advice, man. Thanks!
Thanks Camber. Now I've got to work on my match cut skills for the next video ;)
YES it's all about relationships. So true. It's good to have a pulse on who's interested in your content before inviting them!
This is the truth!
Being comfortable with silence is something I need to work on!
Thanks Jane. You've got great presence on camera.
