Hearing the news that they’re going on indefinite hiatus has left me anything but emotionless. Red Sun Rising was truly an amazing band, and I’ll miss them greatly.

Joe Barnes This news breaks my heart!!! Here I am all excited today coz they released some songs etc, and for a week I've been playing RSR hard, and then I run slap into a brick wall?? I dont think I want to even know why yet, I'm still processing the bomb you just dropped, I've been a fan since the first album. This reminds me of when Disturbed did this too---and did I cry, just like I'm about to do now damn it!!! Thank you for mentioning it tho, I hadn't heard about it.
Check out The Violent - Fly on the Wall. I think that is your boy Mike singing it. They are an unkown band that is trying to make you like their music before they disclose who they are, but I think it's him.

I saw them open for Godsmack in Missoula and they weren't great. I like them now but before it was just get off the stage and give me godsmack.
I like how this band can pull off songs with or without heavy influences, it shows how good they really are!

I'd just like to say thanks to these guys. They were great at PNC in Holmdel, NJ. It was my daughter's first show, and when they said they'd be doing a signing, she wanted to go. I just told her the only rule was to say thank you for a great show. They were genuinely nice, got her name, said a few nice things, and shook her hand. She was bouncing of the walls. Made kiddo's first concert special.
*Probably being one of the older guys in the comments, I can say for a fact that this band is really on track to becoming one of the hard hitters. Mind you, I've seen the making of rock legends from the 70's, 80's, 90's, and 00's... These guys are good!*

I saw Red Sun Rising August 13th in Columbus, Ohio at the "Great Summer Smokeout." They opened for Volbeat. Red Sun Rising performance was phenomenal.

I'm gonna say it again. If you are not seeing the Art these Artists are displaying your seeing and hearing wrong. These guys are shooting for master pieces, you can really tell. Huge fan of these guys. Exceptionally talented group that performs not just music but emotional poetry with such precision and emphasis. The drummer, bass, guitar, and vocals seem to hit different with these guys. The singers voice (sorry man I forget names) is very underrated. He is able to pull off some of the greatest almost shift into another set of vocal cords depending on song style and delivery. And they nail it. Every damn time.

We played with them in Canton, Ohio and it was pretty cool. I had forgotten which band they were (we all play with other acts always out here) until I heard this one. It is good to see things popping for them.

What a great song hooked from the start
That's why I got interested in this song in the first place! To be honest, the chorus could be better, but overall I like the song because the verses (esp. in the beginning) are so good and balance it out.
The cadence and sound of this is 100% comparable to tool/ a perfect circle

I love the way he sings and enunciates the words. The only way I can describe it visually is like the outline of a letter in Photoshop with a distinct stroke. Crisp on the outside, but the inside is a void and free to the elements, LOL

Far into the trench of mediocrity. Their not bad, but there are hundreds if not thousands of bands doing the same thing. Very over saturated market they are in, where many bands sound the same and do nothing original. I understand why the sang was entitled "Emotionless," it was said more times than I can count on my digits, pop music for rock heads.

I hear nothing close to Perfect Circle, Mike has clear clean loud vocals while Perfect Circle is muddy and quiet more muffled with an accent. Instrumentally I also hear zero. Tool would even be closer comparison as the vocals are strong like Mike's, the instruments they can easily do also. There is absolutely zero Queensryche in any of Red Sun, Mike is a straight forward powerful vocalist & I'm not sure which Queensryche (Geoff/Todd) you hear but that band I know entirely.. no part is like this group, ZERO
Perfect Circle sound nothing like RSR nor Queensryche in any way and although you may hear something relatable there isn't. Karaoke is nothing like singing live for thousands to hundreds of thousands of people so while you enjoy doing this fun past time drinking it's does not make you a singer. If you want to see if you really sound like Geoff or Todd put a video up & let real people in the industry decide, otherwise it's just false bravado with nothing to substantiate it. Vocals are the hardest instrument to learn correctly, keep in perfect shape & tone/pitch. Unlike Drum Heads, Guitar strings etc you cannot replace Vocal Cords only damage them & no 2 people or bands including cover bands sound the same. Good Luck at Karaoke
