Status Quo Live! Apollo Glasgow: Is There A Better Way
Вставка
- Опубліковано 9 лют 2025
- From the Live! album recorded by Status Quo in Glasgow in 1976. LP has been released in 1977. The old line up, also called the frantic four, was Alan Lancaster, Rick Parfitt, John Coghlan and Francis Rossi. Did my best to visualize the music with the material that is available.
I was 18 when I went to Glasgow Apollo , me and my pal Geo , I'll never forget it a sea of denim , Rossi,s intro ,How are you then Alright ,the upper balconies were bouncing ,I'll always treasure that night ,Frantic four at there best ,remember my first album ice in the sun bought in Blackpoo👏
spent hours and hours and evenings and listened to this magnificent album!
😀
Real Quo from 70's, the best ROCK music in the whole rock history. End of story...
Even the President of Cambodia would agree with that...lol
This is the best live record of all times ❗❗❗It's so intensive , hard, loud and the best Quo audience ever , cheer's from Dortmund 🖤💛🖤
Quo at their best. I still have that album on vinyl. Superb.
That gig at the Apollo was the LOUDEST i'd ever heard.....brilliant !!!
This album was in top ten in Germany for 20 weeks and reaching 2 in the charts it ended up five times platinum with over million sales

Legends..fuckin rock'n'roll ✊️👍
The very best days of Real Boogie Quo...
A friend of mine who spent 7 years in Englland in the 70`s and attended all the shows told me once that the best shows were those of SLADE and QUO...
Your friend would be correct..............
I wouldn't say your friend was too far wrong there.
Best Quo song by far, better than most mediocre rock bands, Alan has the best voice out of the four :) awesome friggin drumming
Was there and was blown away.,will never forget that gig John Colgan ,drummer extrodionaire
John Coughlan, batteur extraordinaire c est vrai
This was the best years of Quo 🤘🏼 watching lots live performances over the 80,90 20 . Quo was at there best 70.80.
Record Monster !!!!! Quo forever !!!
Best live album ever
I´ve seen them March 3 '77 in Hamburg, Germany - OMG how we´ve been rocked :-)
I rediscovered the band in the cutout flood that hit the US in the 70s.
I only knew them for 'Matchstick Men, which had been one of my favorite Psych blasts from the 60's.
I had no idea how big a band they had grown to over time. To me, they were one-hit wonders.
I'm amazed they never came here and hooked up with the hard rock scene that existed in America.
So strange. We didn't have any idea they still existed, let alone were huge in the UK.
They did do some tours in America (One was with Slade in about 1974) but with little success in respect of setting the US on fire. Massive practically everywhere else in the developed world though.
Mate, QUO were massive in many territories around the Universe.
Europe, Scandinavia, Australia, New Zealand, parts of the Middle East, Antarctica, The Moon, even Pluto.
The USA and Canada had a thousand Blues / Boogie Rock bands and the Record Companies and Radio Stations didn't know how to promote The QUO.
My theory is that QUO were too much of a threat to the majority of mediocre Rock bands in the USA and Canada, except for ZZ Top or BTO etc.
Ordinary looking people don't want good looking people standing next to them.............
Najbolji rock band u povjesti. Rick parfitt najbolji gitarist i covik ko da je dalmatinac
Quo druže, jesi to ti?

Alan lancaster what a talent you are true legend they broke the mould when they made you rest in peace you legend
Fantastic performance. ❤
Great work with the video. A labour of love.
I bought this album on a whim because the US cover art closely resembles that of the REO live," You get what you play for" I'm glad I did. This is a gem!!
Never have seen footage of this. Wow! Great!!
Awesome, great job on the clip. Such an epic album, intense, rockin, raw, full of energy. Best live album ever! Rip Rick Parfitt
🤩🤩🤩fabuleux ! Lancaster , le meilleur du groupe !
All kinds of excellent. Great job - cheers!
Brilliant
Excellent stuff, Rollover! Fantastic memories from times when we were all young and Quo were at the top of their game IMO - keep up the great work with these videos, please!
That was fkn excellent well done mate great job
Jesus fucking christ , those were the days allright !!
1976! That is a big difference when you're that age! ;-) I was 11 btw, but full into Quo.
Great stuff here - very well done! Thanks!
This is a very rare song written by ROSSI/LANCASTER, another is ROLLING HOME, both are on the BLUE FOR YOU album.
R.I.P Rick.
Una de las mejores intro de la historia
Exelente rock para obreros y alivianados de toda herramienta.
If anyone was to name the best quo album and the best ever live rock album, the answer would be the same. Rock at its best.
Best!!
Quality.
👍👍👍👍👍🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟
1976! yes, sorry man, we was young, kiddy and ....full into Quo
Fantastic footage - Never seen the visuals before. Do you know where it was recorded from?
i would love to see that 1977 footage restored, without all the Mike Mansfield special effects. how many tracks were filmed? i think it was the Daily Mirror awards or something??
there you go: ua-cam.com/video/HuHXnPudtX0/v-deo.html
The full show was recorded, but only the broadcasted tracks exist.
@@UnofficialStatusQuo typical Quo live recording disaster then
@keef71 There was no real use for concert footage back then, besides a cinema showing and with this concert being shot on videotape as opposed to film - that wasn't happening.
It will have been wiped and reused like most things during this period.
@@UnofficialStatusQuo i do get that - it's just when it comes to archive footage, Quo seems to have lost out big time compared to other major acts. Think of for example, Queen - lots of 70s (video) footage, entire MK live show in 82, lots of live coverage 84-85 then complete Wembley show in 86. When it came to Quo it just seems to have been a bit half-arsed as to who ran/owned the live recordings, with the group having little interest/input
1975? fuck! i was 8 yo
He hallo zie dat je uit nederland komt !! Fantastisch man wat je hier hebt neergezet !! Wil graag met je in contact komen via de mail of wat ook . De LP heb ik kapot gedraaid, cd heb ik wel maar dit sloeg alles
