That is an awesome router table, having all the bells & whistles it would look nice in any workshop.
Are you selling, or perhaps giving away your old table ? ... :)
As we all can see this is not quite a dyi but a ”how to acomodate/incorporate high endx expensive stuff that i got for free into some cabinet”. nice effort to put this toghether but it wount help me especially since i have no access to those gadgets.
Plans??
@@crystalfiore9205 It's not his design... took it from another creator, but failed to give credit. You can find plans here: ua-cam.com/video/MhIzJrTYHBc/v-deo.html
Dude, what gives? JSK-koubou router table video has 2.1M views, you think people wouldn't notice. Even if you only took inspiration from his video, why not credit the source?
You have great and engaging content, don't be that guy!!!
that router table build looks rock solid ! Love the push open mechanisms as well. makes the door front so modern.
Awesome project and final result! In order to use the Tip-ons with hinges, you need to remove the spring from the inside of the hinge. Otherwise it will happen what you got there - clicking will pop it out but bring the front back close in a glimpse, leaving to time or space to insert your hand. I mention that on my Wardrobe video. Place the hinge on a vise, find the U shaped pin on the hinge and pull it out but not completely (will be hard to re-align the parts back together, so I recommend slowly pulling it off just until you can separate the two sections of the hinge) and pop out the spring (typically having a plastic cover and grease around it). Put the parts back together and carefully hammer the U pin back in place. Reinstall both hinges. Massive difference will be noticed! :) they now actually open by themselves.
Cristiana's voice of experience for the win!!! All the best, @HoneyOnWales
The 3/4" spacer for the hinge was a great solution... I always seem to run into mismatched hinges on hand. Welp... now I know. Thanks! Fantastic router table build, btw.
Learned something today!!! the "straw" trick!
me too!
I'm currently doing a kitchen remodel, so I made room in the budget for one of those Foreman jigs. I've wanted one for a while, and I figured it would really help speed up the cabinet making. Man...how did I live without this thing? I have a K4 that has served me well and will still have its use in my shop, but there's nothing like the Foreman. Especially when doing larger pieces. I can batch out all the pocket holes for a full carcass in a few minutes. Definitely a worthwhile investment, iyam.
It is such a killer tool for cabinet making!
This looks so sleek! Love how it turned out :) I also like how everything you need is in one place!
That is a pretty cool router lift - I like the double speed spot for the lift and the button that pops out the insets - great build!
Love the straw trick. Brilliant.
Very tidy build! It’s given me a few ideas for when I put my router table together.
Keep up the good work 👍
Love all the little tips on making this cabinet!
Looks great and I love the power feeder.
The power feed is amazing!
Excelente idea. Todo a la mano. Gracias
I decided to take a drink every time Johnny said "super".
I am now blackout drunk
You've ruined this channel forever 😂
😂
super
I wonder if he's from the pacific northwest. :)
Lightweight
Killer table man! Thanks for sharing
Hello my friend!
Thanks!
Congratulations from Brazil
Thanks!
Awesome especially with the power feeder
AWESOME!!!!!! I'm super inspired because I don't want a metal stand or cabinet. Building a plywood cabinet is my goal and you have nailed it for me. Plus that power feeder has me thinking also. Great job!
😂 he had a few hours of free time probably lol I'm here with a drill and skill saw with pieces of wood from an old fence.
We all have to start somewhere :)
I often screw mine under my picnic table... Through the sun brolly hole... I really need to make a real table... But it works... All you really need is a flat surface and some sort of support. And a fence system.
I'm almost 5 hundred percent sure this wasn't just a few hours.
Outstanding cabinet. I want one like this. On my todo list for sure. Always great videos and projects.
The straw trick for the glue is a great. I have been hoarding plastic straws for several months now, since in NY they are giving out paper ones
Wow I have never seen anything like that power feeder for a router table before that is so cool!
Wow..Expensive tools..great job
Amazing build! Well done!
Awesome Buddy . I so happy for you. Love that router table and hopefully we will see it in use on future builds.
Will definitely see it a lot in the future!
Is this your design?
Badass project. Well done, as always.
I've watched 3 of your videos so far & subscribed after watching the 1st one, which was your workbench with the saw drop panel. Then I watched part of that video & now this one. You do some awesome work. I will be purchasing some your plans. Keep up the awesome work.
Getting better every day. Keep up the great work!
Really nice job I am just about to build one myself
Wow so cool . Gotta do this !!!
Love the build, nice work 👍
This is beautiful project, who is their right mind would give it a thumbs down? Y’all need to go take a reality check!
Beautiful router table Johnny! Congratulations! on the new tool :) Thanks for sharing the video with us!💖👍👌😎JP
Cab and the equipment are a super set up
Great build, could you plz share the type of self drilling screws used and wjere to get them/link? Thx
Sounds like a great idea!
Shout out to the man, the myth, the legend! Mike Farrington!!
He's busy training his shop apprentice in the boardroom.
Seeing you drill into that beautiful top was a bit nerve wracking, but what a great addition. Love the vertical storage option and that dust collection is spot on. Great build!
Great … It’s look so beautiful and quality.. Thanks
Great build. Thanks for sharing. Any concern with the table being top heavy, particularly with the power feeder?
Wow. That is some nice tool you have there. Lucky guy.
What a great looking & very functional built with care router table. Could you please do a video or recommend a router table for us on a tighter budget? I would love to have a table like this someday. I took many ideas from this video. I appreciate your work & effort making this video. THANK YOU!
That’s so awesome! I absolutely love the table and the 2 side slide outs. But!! That last toy that you added is mind bowing for me because I didn’t even know that there was an option for the power feeder accessory. Soo crazy. Of course I thought to myself, duh, how could someone not have thought of making something like that? But I just didn’t know they had already built one. So!, thank you very much and I’m looking forward to the next project video.
Se ve genial la tabla de router👌🏻 algún dia
That power feeder is awesome!!
That's an awesome router table, Johnny!
Looks a great build. Very expensive too. Power feed is a great job on router tables and spindle moulders (shapers)
This is one of those videos that gave me a ton of questions. How come you did not use glue on the cabinet? What countersink bit is that? What is that monster pattern bit for? Could you have used the push to open fittings behind the drawers instead of along the sides? Does that lift plate have a height lock?
Attach a memory-shape pipe for sinks etc. to your drillpress as a dust collector. Really works great
That is awesome.
Hey , which screws are you using again? You just mentioned inch and a half self drilling... can you drop a link?
Awesome work Johnny! 😃👍🏻👊🏻
Great video and definitely like it, because how you incorporate the dust bucket. I don't see any plans available or I could just be not seeing them. Where would they be? Thanks
Spot on! I've been watching videos for a couple of days, looking for a router cabinet that fits my needs. You nailed it! Thank you for the links as well.
Nice project :) You can also use Push to open drawer slides.
What a beast!👏🏻👍🏻🇬🇧
Love the way that table turned out. Do you happen to have the build plans for that table?
Great video, really liked the quick to build and sturdy drawers. What self drilling screws do you use?
One of the best router build I saw so far. How do you like the rockler radius corner jig?
Awesome work keep making
That came out nice
Hi, cool router table. Can you do climb cut with your power feeder? Thanks
Very nice! I really need to build a router table.
Router Cabinet looks great,is there a set of build plans for cabinet.
PLANS! .... WE DON"T NEED NO STINKING PLANS!
The perfect router table. Now you just need to make one for me! Of course I don’t have room for one, but hey... Thanks for sharing.
That's profitional work.
Great router table build.
This thing is like the Lambo of router tables.
Awesome video and project! I have heard of using powerfeeders to climb cut on a router table. Is that something you've done yet?
Nice, straightforward build! Love the "vertical" drawers, but I'm concerned that the slides you used aren't designed to hold weight in that direction. Based on your design, I think I'd have built the bit storage frames to provide room for the slides on the sides at the bottom, and let the bit shanks hang into the space between the slides.
There shouldn't be substantial weight so the slides shouldn't bend. But I think your right that they won't hold the published weight limits in that orientation. It's just a common sense thing though. You wouldn't put a bag of and in those drawers
I love these types of videos
Thanks!
Nice job, dude. Awesome custom setup 👍
man.... what a nice router table!
Super cool.
Epic build! Wish we had rockler in the UK.
They are such a great resource!
Is this not the router table from JSK-koubou? Why no credit given?
Exactly what I was thinking! Except JSK-koubou's table was 100% custom-fabricated, he couldn't even manage that.
Ya, I looked through the description hoping to see an acknowledgment but nothing...
That's what I thought! You know, I used to like this guy and watched him a lot. But nowadays, he seems to be getting more arrogant. Does he think he's a big celebrity now?
...and the same as almost all other router tables. No one should be forfotten, the list will be long and boring to read
Beautiful
Nice job man that thing is sweet!
This thing is just awesome. Probably overkill, but awesome. Then again, you've showed the usefulness of that feeder so you got me thinking! Would you recommend the cast iron top over the other options out there? A "real" router table is on my list for sure.
Hello sir. Excellent presentation. I noticed that you said you corrected your factory edges. How do you that. I have hard time to get my stock to read 90 degrees. Do I have to have special tools or machine ? Please advice. Thanks
Nice build!
Any plans on the way for us?
Nice work!! That pocket hole machine is dope. I got excited 'til I saw the price ($$$). I'll stick to my basic setup for now.
Very professional job, well done !
Thank you! Cheers!
Nice solid build! I have a wooden router cabinet I built many years ago. I'm using the same 7518 router as you. I just inclosed the area where the router is and put in a 2.5" port for the fence and 4" output to my dust collection system. I am not sure where the separate metal box comes in since the router is already in a box (if you covered the back area). I like the ease of the router plate trim ring removal. No tools, just press a button.
Thanks Tom! Yea the bucket might not have been really necessary I guess but it does a good job with that split port.
Life is good when you have Mike Farrington as an on-call helpdesk! :) Awesome build, one of the best looking router tables i've seen! cheers mate
Hah, definitely nice! Thank you!
Can You Make Plans For This? , I really liked the project and I want it in my own shop.
Whats the name brand of that wrench set you have thats encased with a plastic holder? Thank you Michael
Are you willing to share plans, even rough plans or dimensions? (I don't need much.)
Pretty cool!
Do you have any plans I could have would like to build this for my shop
Great videos! Could you tell me about the screws you used for the drawer to reinforce it thanks
Very nice build! I second Ed B's comment; can you share a set of build plans? Thanks!
That's dope dude..
Hi Johnny had a question what kind of drawer slides are you using? I didn't find the link in the description otherwise awesome video bud!!
That power feeder is the bizness!
Do u have plans for this build? I have a sawstop router cast iron table and I made the enclosures already, but I need the design for the bit storage. I think it will work in my table, thanks
Fire build!
Very cool project, and content man...
Quick question what type of plywood did you use?
Another awesome build! I noticed you talked about drill press dust collection and was wondering if you've seen Woodpeckers new fence for the drill press? Looks like they have some nice built in dust collection.
Spenser Olson An even better idea is to use something like flexible RIGID plastic hose. You can get it at Woodcraft. I hook it up to my blast gate by the drill press, then bend it to be right next to the drill bit. Better than dust collection in a fence because a lot of what you do on the drill press is done without a fence. It works great, gives me 95% dust collection, and you can easy move it aside when changing bits or repositioning your work. Best of all, it is very rigid and holds weird octopus-like shapes, so you can use it in difficult situations. I use it for my power mortiser, too, where chip extraction is even more important. Works great!
That drop in move at 1:20 was sweet hehe
