So glad you liked this one. "Zeit" album is amazing in whole. I don't know how many times I have played it whole on repeat, which I really never do with albums, simply because I never like all songs in an album and even if I do, they don't all match my current mood (whichever it is at the moment). But this album is something different. And like Andrei said, I wish them to release new album after a new album and never to stop, because it feels that with them aging, also their music becomes better and more mature and it fits my mentality and emotions so damn good. When I heard "Zeit" album, for a long time I had a feeling like they have been in my mind and soul, and created music that would match it. I don't know if this makes any sense but that's how I felt.
the only problem with this album is that it goes too fast... I'm always surprised and sad when it's over... and then I go back to Herzeleid and start the cycle all over again! back to 1995! ^^
I was a "night owl" when I was young and I loved going from one location to the other, but also going through empty quiet streets without cars and busy people talking. Both comforted me much. So yes, Rammstein (like always always) talks about both, my younger me and those guys of the night making "their business" not seen (both are creatures of the night). This song matches my younger me and brings back good and bad memories at the same time. Deep lyrics and beautiful music hug eachother. The whole album "Zeit" is exceptional, fantastic, moving and comforting in ones.
Watching your faces as the song progressed actually brought a year to my eyes. It's wonderful to see how much this beautiful song is being appreciated, and you're correct, it's the whole band that has to take credit for the music that Rammstein make. I've suffered with insomnia for years so the night and its tranquillity is something I've grown to love. Daytime brings too much noise and bustle for me now. The whole Zeit album had me hooked from the first listen. They've matured in many ways but have never lost their core thiugh.
Suggestion: How about you two listening to the whole album "Zeit" and reacting to it? Every day a song or two or maybe the complete album because it's a really fantastic work. Any song could be released as a single so consistently good is "Zeit"
I have the poem (till's collection of poems : On Quiet Nights) from which the song is taken ^^ it's one of the songs that speaks to me, I've always lived more at night than during the day, although I haven't frequented too many underworld circles… with was ich liebe, these are 2 songs that correspond the most to my way of living or thinking ❤ Photograph is Brian adams, I guess ^^
Poetry at its finest! Goethe would be proud of Rammstein. The older they are, the better they are! Maybe my favorite song from this album. Goosebumps all over! So beautiful!

Hallo Roman, für mich ist das absolute Meisterwerk von Rammstein der Text vom Song „Du riechst so gut“ ..das hätte auch Schiller/Göthe oder Heine geschrieben haben können. Natürlich ist das nur meine Meinung! Schwarz und Giftig sind für mich meine absoluten Highlights vom letzten Album! Die für mich (Jahrgang 1975) prägendste und stärkste Tour von Rammstein (ich habe die Band 1998 zum ersten Mal live erleben dürfen) war die Völkerball-Tour! …da war Rammstein, meiner Meinung nach, auf ihrem Zenit.

Leider sah ich mich nie in der Lage, sie live zu sehen. Ich besitze eine unüberwindliche Phobie, was Menschenansammlungen angeht. Aber ich genieße ihre Musik und ihre Videos in vollen Zügen! Um ehrlich zu sein, kann ich mich mit deiner Aussage, "da waren sie auf ihrem Zenit..." nicht so recht anfreunden. Ich denke jeder Künstler macht eine Entwicklung durch, wenn er denn tatsächlich diesen "göttlichen Funken" sein eigen nennt. Hatten Bach, Beethoven, Van Gogh oder Caravaggio einen Zenit? Keine Ahnung! Ich denke jeder Bewunderer hat wohl seine eigene subjektive Meinung, wann der Höhepunkt erreicht wurde. Aber egal, ich denke und hoffe Rammstein wird uns noch mit weiteren Geniestreichen überraschen. Ich bin überzeugt, daß man sie noch zu schätzen weiß, wenn wir schon lange Geschichte sind. "Über Geschmack lässt sich immer gut streiten" ...Meine Zenit-Aussage bezieht sich explizit auf ihre Konzerte!.. und diese Kraft (Leider hast du Sie nie Live erleben können) haben Rammstein nach Völkerball nie wieder live erreicht!... aber wie gesagt! das ist meine ganz persönliche Einschätzung. You can sense 30 years of experience creating beautifull music in this track - they know EXACTLY how to pull the listeners heart strings, it almost seems easy how they can touch my soul quietly repeating "wonderschoon, wonderschoon" and that piano! emotions come out whatever you want them or not. I'm so gratefull for those guys to exist and still gift us music so many years later

Look up their history. The context in which it was created. The event they name from. The present day reality they symbolize and the past they integrate.
It es easyer to juggle with german language then english. We have not a complete subject - predicate - object rule in our grammar. And the complete german language comprises approx. 22 million words.
My younger years I hated / couldn't wrap my head around Poetry... Years later when I started listening to more and ore Rammstein did I start noticing difference between a musican and a poet... Til Is defenitely a poet... This is a Prime Exammple of that.....But then again WTF Do I jnow... EH!

Such a pity. Flake's piano break in the middle is tear-jerkingly gorgeous. Till's voice is dark and beautiful. Drums are bombastic, guitars and bass are rich and full. It's utterly perfect.

Tills voice is so soothing and calming. He can go from this calm pace to a very deep and agressive pace. This is true poetry
Zeit is a very balanced album ... Every song well tought through
Rammstein are Till's lyrics, to which the other musicians have to find the right music. They also succeeded perfectly with this song.

Alter Mann from the 2nd album Sehnsucht is also a very poetic song and in my opinion one of the strongest in terms of lyricism.

I totally agree with Andrei. Till has something special, the whole band has. It's like they tear down walls and open new horizons in your brain
