Very charming city and clean with a european touch. Go to the train museum, jardin the San Marcos and would recommed San Jose de Gracia where there's a beautiful canyon and lake.

@@topsjohnny8131 No existe rincón del mundo donde no pase eso alguna vez en la vida, yo personalmente nunca he visto muertes, solo he escuchado en las noticias... Honestamente en mis 36 años viviendo aquí no he visto esa clase de violencia que comentan de otros estados, y si una vez me asaltaron me robaron el celular, pero no es cosa que pase a diario y a toda la población, don casos aislados... Cómo te digo hay lugares, mejores zonas, zonas más intranquilas, mientras haya personas no hay rincón del mundo donde estén excentos de ese tipo de actos alguna vez, pero yo he vivido muy a gusto en paz tranquila en esta ciudad, cada quién puede relatar una experiencia distinta, a mi Aguascalientes me parece de los estados más tranquilos y amables de México
My husband is from Aguascalientes I love it there and we are hoping to buy our first home in Aguascalientes. You missed going to Plaza de las Tres Centurias that's a very important part of Aguascalientes. Historic complex featuring a railroad museum in a 19th-century station, plus fountains & monuments. BORING! They have a little fiesta in March, I think, with bullfights and drunken crowds so bad that those residents who can get out of town head for the coast. THEY MANUFACTURE CARS HERE. PERIOD.

if you enjoy murals, yes the murals in CDMA in the Presidential Palace are great when you can get in as it is closed a lot but the Diego Rivera murals on all three floors of the education building in the Santo Domingo Colonia are even better. It is the offices of the state department of education but they will let you enter as a visitor even though there are not many. I really enjoyed them in 2019.
I live in a Florida east coast beach town, and these roundabouts are everywhere.
My town, and it’s neighboring 4 small towns are literally build around them. Lol. No pun intended.
People are surprisingly polite about them, and there are very few accidents.
I'm from Jalisco Mexico ,this place is where I would definitely go to retire some day!!

Always a bonus when there are fewer gringos in town. I think they’re all too busy in SMDA, Oaxaca and on every beach on the Yucatan peninsula.
The north is an undiscovered / less explored gem that receives far less credit than it’s due. Can’t wait to see more - Gracias por compartir!

What a beautiful video of Aguas Calientes! Amazing murals and sculptures, too! Someone from Mexico City is called Chilango.
Based on previous footage of Aguscalientes filmed between April and September 2020, it is a shock that all of a sudden you and others around are actually are wearing a facemask there. The previous footage infinitely less people wore a facemask. This is the place I would like to settle when I leave the United States for good. Out of the Gringo Tourist places, next to a Gringo tourist state (Jalisco), and next to another more authentic city Zacatecas. Minus the cold of low air pressure. And the cold of where the USA is going. Plus, a little bit closer to the federal capital. Geographically, this doesn't look like a bad central location.
@Galleta de Soda it's not so much how I like it. It's the reality that the USA is unsustainable as a nation. We may have this nice veneer but anyone who lives in Mexico to date has a lot more freedom. Even to an extent Canada has more freedom than the USA. Several factors lead to the truth including but not limiting to the facts of how Police treat George Floyd, how people worship bullies and government, and the fact that our national debt is unsustainable. Along with having extremely high taxes and a high prison population per capita. In Mexico, civilians more often look at police and government like they're corrupt and they chase them off when they harass them. Mexico still has free markets and economics and of course less permits and permission for everything. People down there have more common sense while we have a left and a right to everything. Mexico has a nice big future ahead of itself while we lost. The USA is gone and it's because we lost principle with factions. Mexico is still more principle and there is still more room to grow.
@Galleta de Soda the biggest difference between the USA and Mexico is that in the US, the civilians will just let it happen whereas in Mexico, if AMLO were to let Mexico be taken over that way, civilians would fight back. In a free country, government only has the powers civilians delegate to them.
@Galleta de Soda that is true. One thing I even found out is that the BS drug war traces back to the USA. I will say in Mexico you may have corruption but there's nowhere on the globe that doesn't. One thing that is more certain and rigid in the constitucíon de México is that searches and warrants may not be issued unless there is proof a crime has been committed. Drawing parallels to the US, judges don't even look at the evidence, they just rubber stamp warrants. Sometimes there will even be pocket warrants or post facto warrants. People even get jailed on perjured warrants too. Mexico looks to have more due process than the USA. Additionally, anyone's house, there's a nice big wall around everyone's property which even makes it a lot more secure than a house in the USA. Mexico is where I want to be.
@@ddouglas8161 I've lived in both countries and I mostly agree with everything you say, except for the justice system. It's not that justice in Mexico has a better due process, it's that the justice system virtually does not exist. You can get away with feminicide and other hate crimes especially against the LGBT+ and indigenous populations. If you want justice you most likely won't get it precisely because they are irrationally strict about evidence. You can present all of the evidence you want but they won't accept it. Robbers are seldom caught. In a lot of instances the victim ends up being punished by the justice "system". So yeah, Mexico is a lot freer. In any case, Aguascalientes is a much safer city than most places I can think of in the US, and you most likely won't have to deal with the justice "system" at all. However, as you said, Mexico has a bright future, and the justice "system" today isn't as bad as it was 5 years ago. So it's nice to know that we're making progress regarding basic, inalienable, undebatable human rights.

I am planning to retire in Mexico, I am doing some research watching videos I will definitely consider Agus, the city has a very different vibe than other cities like Guanajuato, San Luis, Morelia, so many others one what is unique about Agus than these cities you visited. I am looking for Museums modern hip vide I love history/culture. I would like to see that side of your stories, younger vibrant modern restaurants, clubs or hangouts libraries, universities, city neighborhoods in and around the cities you visit in Mx. gracias great videos btw !

Wow - did you get a new camera? The images are very clear - I feel like I was right there. Thanks for showing the murals and sculptures in this beautiful city. It reminds me of Queretaro - especially the jardin.
On the topic of murals - the Palacio Nacional on the zocalo in CDMX has spectacular murals by Diego Rivera depicting the history of Mexico. Free admission but you have to leave ID at the gate. Another great spot for murals is the Yucatan state capital building on Plaza Mayor in Merida.

I noticed a couple of your videos before, and just saw this one. I like your lack of "rah rah rah" video content--more realistic. It is much like just a casual walk through wherever you happen to be, as if it were me walking the same route, and observing the same kinds of things. No, not exciting, but informative. And I had never heard of this city before. It almost makes me want to visit it myself, and maybe I will. thanks....

@@colibritravel5994 I want "real" information that is useful to me. I watch a lot of Mexican themed you tubers. Each of them has a certain niche to fill. Yours are just informative. Also, I find watching so many minutes of videos about food to be uninteresting. I generally just FF past those segments. The cities, the people, the sights, the sounds, the good, and the bad....I use this information to decide where I might want to visit one day, once this virus is gone!! I never heard of Aguascalientes before, so that was good information. Thanks!

BEAUTIFUL FOR NICE ENOUGH RESIDENT MEXICANS BUT FOR TOURISTS IT'S PRETTY BORING. ACTUALLY, VERY BORING. THE SPRING FIESTA IS A DRUNKEN BRAWL WHEN RESIDENTS RUN FOR THE COAST. THE CITY IS NOTED FOR MANUFACTURING CARS (AT SEVERAL PLANTS).

Colibri Travel Yes! I live in Dallas Texas. We move to the US in 2001. Last time we went back to Ags was in 2009. When we travel to Mexico we either go to the beach(Puerto Vallarta/Cancun)or CDMX. I kept saying oh wow I totally forgot about that! Haha good video!

Just one thing, that is not the municipal palace, the municipal palace is the place where the mayor works. That place is in the other side of square. The firts place you in, is the "palacio de gobierno" where the governor of the state works, not the municipaliti.
One day I will return to make this place my home

Scary no one wearing a mask and all states are red zone. But beautiful city. I'll wait a year to go, not safe now. I missed PV 4 times this year, cancelled my trips. Idiots going and so much closed and Jalisco also red zone.
Aguascalientes is a nice city but the problem is that salaries there are so crappy. I don’t understand why, there are a lot of industries and years behind it had a great potential and even many people from other states migrated there. Still, jobs in Aguascalientes are so scarce. To do a really good job, an executive one and well paid is a lottery. Too bad! I tried my luck there but unfortunately, opportunities are better in other states. Aguascalientes should raise salaries and make better jobs but I think they don’t want to and be like that. :(

Roundabouts have become a huge thing in the United States the last few years. Most growing and progressive cities are putting them in versus traffic lights. Much cheaper.

My Father is from Aguascalientes and He has always told me that it was safe to visit, I'm kinda skeptical cause I sometimes wonder where the cartel will strike next, it's alright to be nervous or sometimes scared to newer places, as I've never been to Mexico before and I'm from Texas, as everyone knows America has it's bad places, but None come close to certain places in Mexico, unless we are talking about Chicago or Dallas, but That's beside the point. The video guiding through Aguascalientes seems safe, so maybe someday I can visit.
ags is pretty safe, pretty much most places in Mexico you can go and you'll be fine tbh, just do your research, use common sense, realize that there are bad people out there that want to do you harm but don't over think it, be aware and have a good time

It’s a really peaceful place I always say “Nada pasa en Aguascalientes” because it’s true; of course there are some things nothing is perfect, however is a really chill place to live in. I usually go out with friends all alone on a bike ride because of how safe it is. The people here are so kind too and everything is near. The centro histórico is so beautiful and let’s not forget about the traditions celebrated here. So yeah it’s a really good living place.
