For the actual text itself, having a few years of japanese knowledge helped, but i was looking at dictionaries the whole time :( my vocabulary is rubbish. Inserting the script into the game was a way bigger pain in the arse since i had to find where the text is stored and replace it with the new text with a hex editor. Except the new text takes up more space, so i had to find a free space in ROM to put it. And also i changed the length of the lines to be the width of the full screen, to fit more on screen.
Hex editing, after i translated the text i put it into a spare bit of memory near to the code for the intro. Then i changed the load instructions to read from there instead of the normal script location. Also i changed the way the text is drawn to fit more on one line
Can you show me a picture of where the code for the intro is located so I can insert it, and please give me directions to to change the load instructions to read from where I want it to read.

Did you have trouble translating everything? This isn't as simple as taking text and popping it into Google Translate, I imagine.
