Hi Ceno, it's been a while since I last commented on one of your videos. I have a question, would it be better to wait for D3's Publishers English release or get Clouded Leopard Entertainment's version?
@Mr_K_O It's hard to tell. We still don't know for sure if D3's Western Release will use the same translation and dub as this English Version for Asian markets. I personally don't think they'll make two separate translations/dubs for the same language for the same game, but I also can't tell for sure. So if you just want to play the game - in English - I think it's totally fine to get this version of the game. But if you want to wait for D3 in case they actually _do_ create a different translation/dub then it's also fine to wait a little longer, I guess. And if you want to play the game on PC you just don't have a choice but to wait for the Western release. Sorry, I know these answers aren't really that helpful, but in the end it's really up to you I guess.

Ah, the cheesy English voice acting of EDF, how I've missed you! It'll take time to get used to how they sound, but I tend to adapt quickly. Hopefully the English Dub in the Western English Release of the game is of somewhat higher quality, but I wouldn't necessarily be disappointed if this is what we'll end up getting. Especially considering the Western Releases of EDF games tend to have multiple VO language options. In any case, I'm excited to play EDF6 for myself, once the PC release comes out. As an avid EDF5 (and 4.1) Fan, I am yearning for more content.

awww man, sounds like they some random guy at the office to dub the most important character in the game, the captain sounds fine and the other soldiers too. How is the translation? Did they try to "improve" the original script or is it a faithful adaptation?
The Professor will really take some time getting used to. So far he still feels "off" to me but like most here I'm just so used to the Japanese voices. In the first 4~5 missions that I played I didn't notice any major deviations from the original script. It's a rather direct translation, similar to EDF5. They did (mis)translate "Combat Frames" as "Exoskeletons" again but it also was like that in EDF5 already so at least they're keeping it consistent xD
The Rumbling from Attack on Titan resulted in 80% destruction of humanity. I don't know the timeframe, so millions of giants walking unopposed managed to do almost as much destruction as a two year interplanetary war, in a fraction of the time.
I think they didn't adjust the timing properly for when the English voicelines are shorter than the Japanese ones. You definitely notice that during the conversation with the Professor.
Glad I decided to wait. This VA is worse than any anime/game in a long time. No way D3 would allow this outside Asia. Good thing others bought this or I might have wasted money.
I guess we're all just so used to the original voices by now. For me the "worst" is the Professor so far. I hope he'll get better towards the more dramatic scenes later on...
So why couldn't they have just release this version in the West? Why do we have to wait til Summer when this perfectly good English version is right here?
Yeah, Captain is quite allright. Some of his voice lines don't match the body language/animations anymore but that's fine. Brofessor however will surely take some getting used to...
yeaaa not going to lie, im not feeling the Captain's VA here at all. doesnt sound as manly, gruff, deep, as the ones in previous titles. sounds like a young kid who just joined the army
I'm having more of a problem with the Professor. In the next mission, when they really are fighting the invaders, the Captain sounds okay, not that bad actually. I still prefer the Japanese voices, sure, but it's not AS bad as I was expecting. Video will be up in about an hour so you can have a listen then :)

Hey yo, the PS5 English release for the Asian is out but the Steam version got delayed I wonder why the PC version got delayed? VA issues? The script shouldn't be that different
I spotted a few typos in the subtitles here and there but nothing major. I don't think that's the reason. Must be something else - maybe technical difficulties with Steam or the Epic Games Store? 🤷♀️

The Ranger always gets buffed since people like the boring class the most. The other classes got nerfs, but they are generally better equipped than in 5. Air Raider: "generally better" Fencer: My movement!
@@cenorexia that's definitely 💯 an upgrade for ranger! That's my fav class but mostly bc all around it gives the best on offense & defense where as other classes are more one way or the other and based on user skills 😂 Also any timeline on when it's coming out

It was supposed to also release around the same time now, but it got recently pushed back to Summer. All we know is "Summer 2024". For Asian markets, yes. The West, like Europe or the U.S.A. still need to wait until summer (no precise release date given yet). PC players also have to wait for the summer release. The whole release schedule thing is a bit of a mess to be honest.
It is! However you won't need an Japanese account but one for an Asian region _outside_ of Japan. So for example Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, etc. You'll then need to find a way to add funds to that account (you can buy PSN cards on PlayAsia - but make sure you buy cards for the correct region of your new account, otherwise the code won't work!). Then you'll log in with that account on your PS4/5, purchase and download the game, then switch back to your usual account and play the game. It's a bit of hassle but it's possible. Alternatively you can also order a physical copy of the game. PS4/5 games are region free so it'll work on your system and with your (presumably) German account without problems. Yes, I mentioned it in the stickied comment above. I think it's a bug, because the short intro sequence _does_ play when the game is set to Japanese, Korean or Chinese. It's only skipped when language is set to English.
It makes the stick movement "smoother". Like when you change direction with the stick, it adds a little "curve" to the movement. Some people like it but if this was a PC game and you'd play with a mouse, you would want this setting off.
i checked out a stream and the older voice actors are still there with new lines...so why was this actually delayed in the west? maybe they werent satisfied with the quality of the voice acting and are doing another pass? or is there some weird technical issue...i have no clue
I don't know for sure either but my guess is it has something to do with the PC port specifically. For the West they want to release the game on PlayStation and PC simultaneously. They released on PC (Steam) before but this time they're also bringing the game to the Epic Games Store so _maybe_ it has something to do with that...? I don't know but that's the only thing I could imagine at the moment. I don't think they'll do a second translation/dub for the same language, for the same game. But we'll have to wait and see to know for sure...

Oh wow it’s actually not too bad, the CL trailers made the dub seem worse than it is, although I’m sure the D3 dub will be just as okay if not better

It is the first time they release a game on the Epic Games Store, though so maybe that has something to do with it? But that's also just speculation.

Yes, two main weapons and a backpack slot for grenades (and later turrets, traps and other stuff). It really does come in handy :)

@@laala6489 Correct, those translations were made by me, over the course of about 6 months. The Japanese version is only available in Japanese.
