Always a sure fire photo opportunity with robins and they do get under your feet when trying to get things done in the garden. Have ordered some food from Chubby's so hopefully it will arrive today and the Simon7 discount worked a treat. Great images as always Simon. Looks like you're not going to be bored in your retirement with all those projects to sort. Look forward to following your progress. And the main reason you have 20k plus followers is due to your personality and that you make whatever you are doing interesting and engaging. Nice lens too. 👍👍
Another great film seeing the progress of the homestead, it’s all coming on leaps and bounds with so much hard work being put in. The thing I can’t get my head around is, your channel clearly deserves so so so many more subscribers than you have. I’m always recommending you to my friends hoping they’ll do the same. Here’s to 25, good health and happiness to you and yours!
Thank you for another great video, your own nature reserve is coming on very nicely and I know its going to be prosperous next year. Dawn is doing a great job of filming you while walking and working. Sue and I have purchased 2 of your 2025 Calendars. Looking forward to seeing more footage with your new lens.
Another interesting homestead update Simon. I really do admire not just your hard graft but the vision that you have in your mind as to what you want to achieve. I was glad to see that the Robins didn’t let you down after the build up 🙂…. you have them well trained 🤣 Merry Christmas and best wishes for a happy and healthy New Year to you and Dawn!
Another fantastic video Si, what a fantastic place you have there ! Thanks for keeping us entertained , it’s entertaining , educational and inspiring mate ..! 😊
Brilliant video yet again Simon and good to see the new toy making an appearance. It was good you mentioned about cleaning feeders out in order to prevent disease. It’s surprising how many people who put feeders in their garden think they are doing a good thing for the birds yet don’t bother to clean them because they are not aware. It’s also great to see a video released of activity that happened on the day - magic.
You should put a warning at the beginning of a video like this, " digging"... Now my poor old back is aching,,😂 All the best from a rainy West Yorkshire,, 👍☔
Evening Simon lovely video of your lovely place robins love the spade always looking forward to the next one .Have a fantastic Christmas you and the Dawn and family best wishes clive .
Bluebirds used to follow me when I was mowing the grass. They would fly down an catch the crickets and bugs I had disturbed. You're making a great homestead there, Simon. It willl be famous and much in demand this spring.
another cracking video Simon. great to see the homestead developing into an amazing wildlife haven. and get your bloody finger out and get Dawn that camera.
Gotta love a Robin, we have one who loves bits of cheese… Great advice on the bird feeders, a lot of people don’t do this and it’s important to stop salmonella and others spreading between birds…. Homestead is coming along nicely… 👍
Hi Simon. Great video has always. Glad you managed to be safe on the ladder this time lol. Always look forward to your videos and shots. Your homestead is looking amazing. Just going to buy a few coffees.
Great video, simon. Love the robin. The colours are beautiful. I'm really pleased with the calendar, I can pretty much relate each shot back to a video and visualize you taking the pictures. I love it. Anyone who subscribes , I can't recommend it enough. Edit. Even if you don't subscribe.
Wise choice to protect yourself from a potential Owl attack - I've got a signed copy of - "Eric Hosking's Birds : Fifty Years of Photographing Wildlife" from 1979, he lost one eye to an Owl ! Hence one of his books was titled "An Eye for a Bird" The homestead is coming along nicely, have you thought of a small pond using the stream as a feeder and exit ? All the best, Simon & Dawn.
Another good watch , been using my 180-600 on my Z8 for a while now struggle to see the need for anything else ? Keep the videos coming, Compliments of the season Rich
Thanks for the update, by you’ve done some graft. Homestead is looking grand. Received calendar in week, fantastic, perfect size and cracking images. All the best to you both. 👍📷😎
The wife just placed an order with Chubby mealworms. Wow she says pricing is great in comparison to local shops. We’ve recently both taken up photography and envy you your homestead. Hi Simon mate brilliant video as all ways love how the homested is coming on, verry happy with my calendar that arrived the other day, looking forward to seeing the next one mate
Theres nothing worse than a “Squiffy” path, those pallets can make good Red Squirrel feeders as well. All wildlife feeders not just birds, but squirrel feeders. Please tell me you don’t encourage greys to nest. The eye protection is great Im thinking of wearing them when walking through woods, to film me red squirrels and caught me face so many times
What an awesome place to hang out and photograph wildlife😍🤩
You are never afraid of hard graft keep up the brilliant work

@ wirks great with the Z1.4 converter if you have the light
You really should invest in a small tracked excavator it will save you so much work.
