What I loved so much about this is that Cookie, especially Lucious could have shot her dead or had her killed, but instead of doing that, they humiliated her and made her suffer. Her reputation is shattered. That’s way better than killing her.
Yes it is, Diana chose her pain: The pain of having her reputation, her standing in society popped like a cherry, and I know that the MINUTE that ball was over, word spread like roaches fleeing when the light comes on, OR like shoppers finding out their favorite store is doing a 90% off sale and they got reward points to use up
Exactly because killing her wouldn't have been good enough they needed to do this to her so she could see what it was like to mess with someone's family she stole their grandbaby got a doctor to turn Andre's mental illness against him put him in the hospital & tried to ruin them she got what she had coming to her killing her was way too good
