Nah Fam I hated him because of the stupid ass actions he took caused so much turmoil. The way this character was written it was made to be unlikeable any actor could play this role and I would feel the same way. Tariq hated his father for putting a gun with (no bullets) to his head Tariq's hate for his father grew into a scorned RAGE! after his father bruised his mother's arm and last but NOT LEAST! Tariq hated his father for accepting JAIL! for him which was THE WORST! thing a father / parent can ever do to his own child / son it's no forgiving jail! it's nothing lower than jail! & it's NO! coming back from jail... Tariq was hurt for multiple reasons and Tariq was angry for multiple reasons as well but Ghost never had not 1 clue that his actions with Angela Valdez that broke up his family was the ROOT! to Tariq's scorned rage hatred for him til his end.
It's more threatening than funny... Ghost was angry the tension was high and he was intimidating Tariq which was why he was avoiding eye contact andd he did not want to answer the questions because he knew that his father would snap on him but if he didn't answer the questions his father would still snap on him as (he did later) so either way Tariq couldn't win 🤷🏽♀️
