Had Stromberg-Carlson still been around today, they may have been the first ones out with the flatscreens TVs. I had a later Setchell-Carlson TV and that one lasted - WITHOUT any major problems - until the picture tube finally went out - all be it gradually.
I just found a Stromberg-Carlson TV in a flea market over the weekend (just like yours). It has a bunch of missing tubes but most of the once in the TV led up as well as the 10BP4 CRT. Do you have the schematics for this TV?. Thank you in advance and congratulation on your restored TV.
Wonderful! A question: Does exist an accesorie as a frame? , it is, flat up and down, that can be set on screen to avoid to watch those two black bands of image. Or can you do something as I say? Greetings from 🇨🇱 (no texas flag)
The BBC started regular scheduled tv broadcasts in 1936, and I stand to be corrected, but I don't think round screen sets were ever sold in the UK. I am wondering how long they were on general sale in the USA and why anyone would buy them. Surely some of the picture would have been missing, plus it doesn't seem a natural shape of display to watch anything on...
@@retromania-NY Fair enough, I can well see why someone would buy one now, with it being like an antique, but I couldn't see why anybody would want to buy one back in the day when you could get a square screen that showed the whole picture.
You've got that set running like brand new!! (In my opinion, a Big-Band selection from Glenn Miller or Tommy Dorsey would have been more appropriate for the sound score, though.)

Thank you !
Music is a bit grating on the nerves. Plus the music is not correct to the period. I really love the set and how you show it off!
Nice but the music choice is annoying
Working perfect? So you hooked-it to an antenna and you're receiving a broadcast. I don't fn think so.
You’ll need digital to analogue RF modulator to be able watch it
