Hey Michael! I appreciate the honesty of your reviews. Not everyone is genuine when it comes to certain products. Cavalier works great for some people and not so much for others like yourself. I personally have better results with it when my hair is longer i.e like 4-5 inches. But products work differently in different hair types. Keep on keeping it real sir!
Cavalier is still my go to on special occasions.. dates, weddings, etc. It literally never fails. Wish he'd release one with a nicer scent but it's still the best heavy clay in my opinion and I've tried tons.
I mean it definitely has its uses. My main thesis of this video is more that it was really hoped for being a decent and average product and a lot of the prettyboy youtubers that reviewed it when it first came out gave it positive reviews because they want their videos shared by Blumaan rather than be upfront.
I've been having similar problems with a variety of Blumaan products - I lose volume and hold as the day wears on. I'll definitely try Baxter or one of the clays recommended in your other videos. Thanks.
It works well in my dry, wavy, coarse hair. It just smells too delicious, like butterscotch or something which is slightly too much for me. I also don't have to worry about how it performs in hot weather, chance would be a fine thing. I wonder are there cheaper alternatives that do the same thing, like osmo clay. I think I used that about 10+ years ago
That's pretty funny, for me Cavalier is probably the best balance between usability and performance. I pref it to a decent amount of clays on the market, altho to be fair I don't have a crazy large collection. Its something I always trust will be flawless for like 6, sometimes 8 hours then hit a wall and do that greasy thing you mentioned. I still have a jar but I'm prob not buying it anymore cuz it's actually mad expensive
Every product works different for everyone to some degree, so how long until it gets greasy can vary between hair types, lifestyles, climates, etc. like I said, it’s not terrible but there’s just nothing about it that makes it a must have.
Personally, I find cavalier is the least greasy of the heavy clays I've tried on my hair. I agree on the price point, especially with lacking packaging and scent.
its funny some people find it greasy other people find it dries out. but the bottom line is that the product goes thru a significant shift as the day progresses
Hey Michael, saw this review sadly after I have already viewed your video. Nevertheless thanks for the honest review! Sorry noob qn here but may I ask if the bottom of the container reflects the manufacturing date or the expiration date of the product?
Great review Michael! Your reviews are the the best. Clay getting greasy throughout the day is a big turnoff. I’ve never understood the point of making a clay that does that.
Bought their travel kit and was throughly unimpressed. For my hair type none of their products were better or as good as others I have found. It took a while for me to come to the realization that it's definitely true that products do behave differently in every hair type.
Rumman Rashid dont worry! Stephen sent me his new stuff so it’s in the queue. He and I actually live within 45 mins of each other so it didn’t take long for the tins to arrive at my door.
Application Process May not be worst but your Application Technique Definitely Is one of the Worst Ive ever Seen. Doing IT this way you Left 80% and way too much of the product on your Fringe and 20% for rest of your hair. You need to Apply It First evenly to your hair and then Start styling. Dont try To kind of make a hairstyle while Applying product. First Apply then style it 🙏
@@SpruceSharp note that claymation recently has changed its formula, petro is the 1st ingredient now compared to beeswax and I think the product does not preform as well and now is harder to washout.
@@SpruceSharp to give you the honest truth. cavalier clay works in my thick hair and it has been my go to product for the summer time when I need something to cement my hair into place. Claymation isn’t that great of a product to use anymore because of the lack of hold that it has. However I can respect your opinion on it. Not every product works for everyone.
I hate to bash Blumaan cause Joe seems like a really good guy but... Their products are subpar. 1. They have horrible scents, cavalier smells like playdough 2. They all have the same end goal... Texture, hold, dry matte finish 3. Their one chance to have something different was their pomade, which again is dry and textured... Not what a pomade is supposed to be. 4. Price and packaging (cheap Axe look) is just outrageous.
Omg I have been waiting for this series for so long! Great video as always, Michael!

@@SpruceSharp yeah I totally understand where you're coming from.. that's how I feel about forte.. so much hype but performance was not top notch.
Kevin Grayson then you’ll be happy to know Forte is episode 2 in this series!
Have you tried Alex Costa’s forte Series texture clay?

Salonguy has 2...new stuffs....review them kindly
I was going to but now that you’re telling me to, I won’t. How dare you 😤

9 dollar target goodfellow clay is better for a quarter of the price since its 4oz vs 2 oz
glad it worked for you, but i find it to be a subpar product that dried my hair out
Aprolifix Blue i apply it with a drop of argan oil it fixes that issue
@@sakurosozac6605 not for me it doesn't
Totally agree with you. It’s so greasy
Put a bead of caulking around that damn circle thing (is that a door stop I'm guessing) would ya!
It’s the door stop on my old apartment’s wall. I’m no longer living there, and I don’t acquiesce to weird requests so 🤷🏻♂️
Hanz De Fuko Claymation pls
It’s being considered for this series!
