I have one of these.... it is definitely one of those classic Ferraris that is getting better with age and is more appreciated now than initially. The gated shifter and the sweet Italian v8! Yes please and thank you!
@@arthurmonbaron It's a Ferrari.... its an Italian v8 with a gated shifter, and it has the prancing horse on it... not disappointing at all in my opinion... but to each their own...
@@jamiewalters4 well I was thinking maybe it’s also a financial ditch, but otherwise you’re absolutely right, so afterall I may reconsider acquiring one
The handbrake weirdness is to stop you catching your trousers getting in and out since it's between the seat and the door. Not sure it's an Italian thing though, I think some older British cars have a similar design.

This is not how these cars in good condition drive ....this car runs like crap needs a good tune up . Sounds like front exhaust manifold is leaking old spark plugs etc and she runs quite rough. And dont be be fooled that these cars / engines are fragile they are not ! After a good warm up you redline her often for good progress you trash quite hard through the gears they are designed to handle it!!!
My first Ferrari was a Mondial. It was a great entry vehicle and lots of fun, unless you were trying to turn those fat tyres in a tight space. I would literally break into a sweat trying to park the damn thing.
'dial' in English is pronounced "die-al", so trying to correct him by saying "it's just like it would be in English" is wrong in itself. But, yes, it is pronounced "Mon-dee-al"

Agreed!

A V8 in the 80s that revs to 7500rpm has my respect.
European v8*
I just bought one of these, and can't wait to drive it! Thanks for sharing!
Congrats on the new ride! Enjoy it
You can bring cool cars like this around my fire station up the hill any time.
Will trade for fire truck 🚒

Porsche also did it
Same for C4 Corvette

Thanks for the video. It sounds even better after 6000 :)
I enjoyed your narration as well as the sounds! Honestly, I’m planning to get a Mondial in the near future so my kids can ride with me,
It sounds like it has something loose/rattling in the exhaust. Otherwise it sounds great!
At 3:02 we can see in the lower left gauge that there's is no oil pressure info... In such case, i would never drive this car further...
pretty typical for those old gauges. But surprised they wouldnt bother fixing it.
These damn cars and their speedometers never working lol
It takes away knowing your speed for “character” lmao
That was my first Ferrari drive as well and I loved it.
the Ferrari for the world(mondo in italian)❤️❤️❤️👌
Hook up that speed sensor
Yes he needs to hook up that speed sensor that he disconnected so he can save the mileage
You made a mistake, you forgot to reconnect the Odometer before you took the video

If that was your first time driving a ferrari you did very well. I didnt fair as well as much as you did

Mondial, it's not difficult to read, it's just like it would be in english, not Mondaial as you're pronouncing it.
Lol my b

I here some noises that don't seem normal. Some rattle from something. I don't know.
Pehaps i will buy one of these but if i do then i will probably get the Cabriolet Version.
Lovely car but I would be too afraid that the car is a ticking time bomb. I would consider a C4 corvette over this.
A ticking time bomb? Why?

Speedo not working? Sounds great
I believe its a speed sensor issue. Thank you!
POV?
hmm the engine in this video doesent sound very good, kinda sounds like an 4 cylinder or something!
Oh look the speedo is disconnected to keep the mileage down. That drivetrain sounds worn out, and the engine is lazy and tired.
Its an awesome car don't get me wrong ... but under 200HP its just not fast ... I KNOW I KNOW its not about that but still ....
Haha my Vw beetle looks faster wtf 🫣🤣🤣
