Now for the very hard part. to be able to withstand such long term pressure on the shoulder, it means his trained his shoulders precisely, to be able to constantly use the jab in such different ways. his stamina is another thing that you need to be able to box the way he does, his ability to know exactly when to reserve energy and when to put more force into his punches and lastly he has an amazing ability to always finish off rounds in a winning fashion, which is more a psychological thing for the opponents and judges. every time ive seen an opponent maybe changing the tide of a round he returns it with superior combinations, as if instead of concerning him it wakes him up and he wins the exchange in the end. easily my favorite boxer right now. incredible man too with how he carries himself. emotions completely under control!
@@dundee1080 spot on. That’s exactly what dedication to the sport gives you. Makes me laugh when all these people think they can just “be like “ these guys. Most fighters ability comes from their natural fighting way. Then years of drilling gives you the fighters they are today.
Bivol is literally art in motion, I’ve been a big fan since he came to England to fight Craig Richards I just love watching him, young fighters should should study this guy as I think he is close to perfection
All of the things he does are based on pitch-perfect fundamentals. Bivol’s movement is just flawless, he just has to wait for his opponents to make a mistake. Always a good stable base, feet never on the same line, never overcommits or leans beyond his lead toes for an attack, always keeps the perfect distance for his preferred range - or adjusts his arsenal when aggressive fighters close in. And then on that rock solid base he also adds on his feints and footwork, and all the other advanced techniques and variations analyzed here, and everyone crumbles against him. Truly a master of the craft. He’s hands down my favorite fighter to watch right now, poetry in motion. Amazing analysis coach!
Just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate the work you put into these videos. I love recommending them to new gym members because there's no talk and it's straight down to business, easy to follow, quick and just jam packed with value. Truly amazing work, great job, gents!
This video is great. I watch it every day before training. I’m a Muay Thai practitioner with a lot of boxing in my game and style. The way he bounces from front foot to back foot is very reminiscent of that in Muay Thai. I try to use all these techniques but in sparring I focus on one thing from this video and try to do it in the whole round.
Man what a calm but effective fighter. This is a great video and I'm already taking notes on how to improve my game from it, thanks for uploading this!
love this. Its all in his concentration and discipline, isn't it. All these things, most pro boxers are aware off, but to have the composure to pull the right tools out of the bag and the right time, he is exceptional at. You can even see the thinking in his expressions.
Спасибо за выпуск) Бивол гений, представитель старой советской школы бокса, заложенной Николаем Исаевым, сейчас остались единицы адептов этой школы. Бивол же единственный представитель в мире, с такой техникой.
This channel has slowly become my favorite boxing channel. Love the efficiency of delivery, getting right to the point. Good mix of drills, and boxing analysis...and not overly verbose. Bivol and Inoue is probably my favorite boxers out of these new generation.
Great video, coach. I've been coming up with long guard and in-and-out drills for my classes since the last Bivol fight and this video has already given me some more ideas. Would love to compare and contrast with how you would train these techniques/tactics in your future video 😉
what bivol dose at 9:03 amazes me, steps back after a hard right to adjust for the same punch wile giving the opponent the illusion of being out of rang.
I went to subscribe and realized I was already. Some of the best boxing stuff on youtube guys, I sit down with a pad and pen and write down all sorts of fun stuff to try. Keep up the good work it's very appreciated 💪
To me, Bivol is the most masterful boxer right now. There's so much to learn from him, from footwork, to IQ, and utilizing every important fundamental for the highest impact. Speaking of amazing, this channel is also the most masterful boxing channel. Thank you so much for the drills- everything is practical and can be applied for sparring.
Thank you for such a great film study, I think I have a similar style so this is phenomenal help, fighting for my second amature belt in six days and I’ll be sure to watch this over and over again. Thankyou and I’ll be sure to come back once the tournament is over :)
@@mrkingkale9559 I apreciate that man, this is my second sbb belt tornament win but 4x amature champ this year, plan to really kick it up next year and aim for nationals then pro later next year🙏🏼
Just really wanted to say thanks for making this video. I've been sticking up for Dimitri a lot, calling him the smartest boxer since Floyd Mayweather. But it's really hard to describe to someone all the things you highlighted in this video. Thank you, I shared it with several people who are also fans.
I greatly appreciate the time you put into this video. This channel will explode with more content like the video above. Thank you ,sir, for your contribution to the sweet science.
Love the break downs with the synth/drums tracks 🤩. The Usyk and Loma ones were awesome too 👏really highlights the subtleties of their work and makes it obvious why they are masters of the craft 🥊💥☭
Thank you soooo much!!! I've been waiting for this video to drop, thank you for that 🙏🙏🙏 And I wanted to also say, I love the content, the knowledge and the kindness that you guys bring to share boxing material to fellow boxers like myself. I truly appreciate that. Also, big ups on that Vasiliy Lomachenko video. I love that video also 😍 On that note, I learn a lot from you guys. I wish you guys were here in the Los Angeles County area. I would be down to train with you guys 💯%
That soviet style footwork in a pendulum when throwing combinations is a big factor to his punch accuracy and avoiding counterpunching. It's so difficult to maintain foot speed in a pendulum at 175+
Excellent analysis of Bivol's boxing technique which is similar to the fencing technique which I was tought how to apply for competition in fleuret and épée encounters. Test your opponent's reactions, prepare a pitfall for him when you know how he wil react and thenhit!
His fighting style very much resembles that of a traditional points-based karate kumite. Same approach to rhythm, picking your spots, darting in and out. It’s beautiful to watch.
Really cool and super helpfull for implementing his style. If only there was some option replace charts with a short voice over. Is there the option to try that out?

Jessica he also took canelos best power shot to the left forearm..and was able to still used the jab...normally most fighters wouldn't..

Literally the best analysis of Dmitry Bivol to date. All of his systems/techniques are addressed. Five stars McLeod Scott!
Its not "his" style, its so called "soviet school of boxing" in perfect form.

The best breakdown on Bivol in UA-cam right now. He's easily my favorite boxer right now.
I have my first amateur match on the 24th and have been studying soviet style for it , thank you for this incredibly useful video
very fundamental stuff, but a master at it. love the variations of jabs that he uses.
How can you not like how this guy fights. I look forward to sharing the ring with him at some point!
So you say gravity isn't quantized?

He has quickly become my favourite active boxer, I'm mesmerized by his style
Amazing distance control , ring leadership and fight IQ.
He's so good he controls the pace of the fight perfectly. Punches accurate everything done perfectly.🤩💪🏾

I think the fight between Bivol and Beterbiev is to be one of the best fights in history.
