    It's really sad to see casuals disrespect Bivol because he doesn't 'finish his opponents' or fight 'big names'. If you're a fan of boxing, you're a fan of Bivol. It's almost unfair how good his footwork and his left hand are. The movement of his left hand makes it seem like he's fencing with it.

      Bivol mentioned at the end that he has a "soviet union style". You can check a channel here on youtube called "Frolov's Boxing". The man teaches Soviet-style boxing. From your description, I think that you will enjoy his content and the style a lot, it's incredibly fluid and dynamic.

    • @rustygear447
      @rustygear447 2 роки тому +8

      Simple is the wrong word. Footwork is the most difficult and complex thing to master in boxing. Most fighters even elite ones only know how to fight forward. Rarely anyone can fight backward like Bivol. To my eyes, Bivol's style is much more complex than anyone else.

    I’m glad someone understands Bivol rhythm. I’ve been explaining to my friends that Bivol rhythm is underrated. For casual fans he looks like he just throwing some punches and combinations. But from ringside it’s very hard to predict what’s Bivol move bec it’s very random. Bivols combinations of his punches and footwork of in and out and his feints makes him very hard to read.
    Not to mention Bivol is well all around boxer. He has power, defense, tremendous stamina, ring IQ and EQ and can take a punch.

    It's a shame Bivol missed an awesome career due to poor agents and nearly zero exposure earlier on... Perhaps the best boxer, technically and wonderful to watch working opponents...

    Power is the most overrated and misunderstood in boxing. Most of the time a guy loses it wasn’t because of the lack of power, it was the lack of versatile offense and IQ and shot placement. Fans overlook the 2. Finishing ability is also different from knockout power.

    Yes, he is almost always on the move and it takes some stamina. Also, watch his right hand - always up and close to his head when he is attaching and stepping out of range. It serves two main purposes: 1 Defense and 2 Excellent left hand power/balance/coordination. He is never "hanging" on his lead foot ... or the back foot for that matter. Always balanced. Much easier and quicker to move around.

    Top-notch video! Bivol is a master boxer with a unique style that combines technique, speed and a deep understanding of fight tactics. His style is characterized by excellent defense, high level of movement and the ability to adapt to his opponent. Bivol makes heavy use of the jab, which allows him to control distance and create opportunities for attacks. He is also known for his ability to combine defense and offense, making him an extremely difficult opponent. The “400 Boxing Combinations” practical manual can be an invaluable resource for mastering the Bivol style of fighting. This book offers a variety of punching combinations that will help boxers develop a wider arsenal of offensive moves, as well as learn how to use defense more effectively. Combinations based on movement, timing, and variety of punches will help develop technique and tactics similar to Bivola's style. Understanding the different combinations will also help boxers to better read their opponent and find vulnerabilities in their defense, which is a key aspect of successful Bivol-style fighting.

      @@BoxingLife to sit in the pocket is right, but it is one side. Another one that his coach told that he will keep just one belt without attempts to win the other. He needs a person he respect who will actively motivate him to do this. His existing coach is not able to do this

    ok but what if you never had any rhythm of any type? Like is there a video on how to get rhythm first and then how to maintain it in music, dancing, boxing, bed, etc.? Like I have no understanding of what rhythm is in music, I'm not musically literate, not a dancer either, and I'm no musician so you can imagine how lost confused I am in trying to figure out what rhythm is in boxing and other stuff

    • @BoxingLife
      @BoxingLife  2 роки тому +1

      Every fighter has their own rhythm. Some better then others! I plan to do a video on this eventually so hopefully it can help you out further. But getting your own rhythm takes time, you can’t just get it over night. That’s why when you watch beginners, they look all over the place when they first start…no rhythm or ability to change rhythm or identity the opponents rhythm.

      Beterbiev is not prime, Beterbiev is 37. Ward retired so he didnt have to face these guys. Also went hiding from GG because he knew GG would dog walk him.

    The combination of the eastern fundamentals and American boxing brilliance is deadly. That’s why most Europeans who have gone to the USA to train have dominated. That’s why I cannot understand why AJ never figured some5hung so obvious. He only had to look at history. Even recent history is full of examples, the Klitchkos, Kovalev, Fury, Lennox, now the latest wave. It’s absolutely career suicide what AJ has down by sticking with McCracken and basing himself in the Uk. I think it’s too late for him to rescue his career. Usyk will beat him again and he’ll be scrapped. He might con some people that he could beat Fury and make a tonne of money whilst getting schooled. Then he will walk away a very rich man.
