Never took him serious first time he hit, just saw a big ego who enjoyed smack, he released an album a few years ago and it blew me away, lyrics were up there with Cave,Morrissey and Cohen, very talented, if troubled guy.

His songs are simple sometimes his simplistic lyrics become stories but is he anywhere near The Beatles (maybe but not to me), Beethoven or Mozart (No way). Pete Doherty is decent and better than Steve Ryder and Can't Stand Me Now and Fuck Forever are great songs that if you want to blow Dylan you can disregard.

It was a 3 page spread in the New York times! And I went on a pub crawl to find the life and times or maybe commit a few ghastly crimes! But I only came up with a few rhymes... And dropped a few dimes, I couldn't remember anything of my😕 errrrm, I was high all the time and they say that it's a crime... but I feel fine... it's just a crime! They'll have me doing time! for my crime! and it all fits neatly in my rhyme. Or is it just a waste of my fuckin time! but i feel sublime when I commit crime it's only part time

I hate to say it, but better smack than smack & crack. His old days of crack use were terrible. If he is back to heroin, he seems to be handling it as best he can... as stupid as that sounds. He looks well, he sounds well, etc. I am 5 years clean of heroin myself, so I don't mean to make light of it's use - it's just better to see his use (if he is using) is clearly under some amount of control... especially compared to the past.

@@JadedMuse2 Thank you for the link! I hadn't read that interview yet! I was pretty certain he wasn't exactly clean. I'm glad he's at least calmed down a lot over the years. He seems to be more at peace now than ever before. I think reuniting with Carl and his relationship with Katia have been very, very good for him. It would be great if he could kick drugs entirely, but I know how hard that can be in the best of circumstances. It's still great to see him looking better than he has in a very long time.
