When I got out of the nick my son got tickets to see Babyshambles on Clapham Common and the headlined the gig, I enjoyed that because Pete had just came from rehab and was on form. I like the albums he done since. The new collaboration with Frederick Lo is very good. God luck young man.

Because he was a junkie with a pocketful of crack and the police were on their way. The two women were waiting with Mark so Pete legged it. At the time he didn’t know Mark had fallen over the balcony, he just knew he was knocked out on the street, Pete said he only found out he’d gone over the railing when it was in the paper. Not a great situation and a tragedy for Mark to die like that, but I think people trying to pin anything on Pete are misguided.
