- When one scam goes down, two more arise. A customer had been shopping for tractors when he found a deal too good to be true. He ran it by me, and I told him to run. Because then I could scoop up the deal! Ha! No, I told him to run because it was a scam! Let's find out this new site to avoid and make sure we remember when a deal is too good to be true, it's too good to be true!
Good Works Tractors is happy to be sponsored by Rim Guard Solutions! This is perhaps the most well-known ballast brand on the market today. Rim Guard goes right inside your tires, so it's out of the way, it doesn't freeze, and doesn't corrode. It's made from natural materials, so it's safe around livestock and pets if it spills out. Rim Guard liquid ballast adds more weight to the back side of your tractor improving stability, loader performance, and power to the ground. Find your closest dealer at bit.ly/3d0whX0

Ran into this about a year ago when looking for a Kubota skid steer. I advised them I would have a local Kubota dealer stop over to check the machine for me and the person went ballistic saying "no one was going to tell him how to run his business", etc. Total scam!!
Your vids are very refreshing. Calm and knowledgeable. You've made my daily watch list. Keep em coming.
when financing there is a saying " no phone no loan" when buying there is a saying " no phone no purchase"
Not sure if this gets mentioned later in the video.. These photos are obviously from people's houses with the equipment for sale. Not something a repo company would have. Usually you can usually use google images to reverse image search and find the original location the pictures were stolen from for the scam.
There are similar scams in Australia. One was on a farm machinery website for a little Kubota tractor. The give away were the pictures. The pictures were obviously from North America with different trees to those growing in Australia in the background stickers on the tractor from a dealer in Kentucky or somewhere like this.
It’s fairly inevitable scams will become more sophisticated as improved technology enables convincing deception. How long will it be before Rajesh from a scam call centre in Chennai India sounds like John from Memphis Tennessee over the phone?
Excellent advice and you’re completely on point. When it’s too good to be true, it’s a scam. Basic rule of thumb, but always needing reminding!
You can buy a new BX23S sells for over $23K. It's either stolen or the tractor does not exist. Ask them for the s/n, and then head down to the nearest Kubota dealer and have them run the number in their system. JMO.
The price is good for the seller when you sell the same tractor 3 to4 times a day LOL!
Their website says their warranty is a "6-Month Limited Warranty/10,000 ****miles****", haha.
Good catch.
I saw that add yesterday too and came to the same conclusion as you before I finished reading the add. Hydraulic thumb even lol
One of the things I noticed about these scams is that here in central VA they are actually "sponsored" ads in Marketplace! This make the process of reporting more convoluted. Also, they show up in multiple ads with different company names....all VERY similar, but a character different here or there. I try to report scams when I see them (although I'm not really sure if it does any good or not) but these ads are like whack-a-mole. Good info, good video. Happy Holidays Courtney. 🎄❄👍
Scammers are everywhere. Great job calling them out for this by name!
You're right again!!! Something is wrong!!! Stay as far away from this web site!??
Also, Thanks very much for the informative videos. You are a wealth of solid information and it's greatly appreciated!
To my knowledge, repo companies are required to sell vehicles for fair market value in the area they're selling them in. So the fact these are repo'd tractors for cheap doesn't quite vibe, either. Though there may be different regulations on tractor equipment VS vehicles.
You are correct and if it brings more than was owed the original purchaser is supposed to be paid but they never are
We were almost fooled by that "company," or one with a very similar name, a few months ago when we were shopping around. They took the name of a legit company in FL, according to a search of the FL Sec of State business records database, but the company the name belongs to is actually a laundromat equipment company. They wouldn't agree to letting a local person of my choice come to the "dealer" location they had pictures of on their website. A Google Maps search of the address on the website led to a condo community.
Yup ended up at a condo before 😂
Good stuff Courtney!
Good advice. 100% agree.
Wow I saw this same ad and I was actually interested in the tractor too. I honestly would've considered it if it weren't for the 0% 84 months from TYM.
Good advice.
So true 👍
I've seen this same machine add on FB.. laughed soon as I saw it and marked it as scam.. you're exactly right 👍🏼
There are so many fraudulent vehicle ads on FB market place. Never send money or purchase anything there without seeing it in person and with a clear title in hand.
They say under the FAQ
All items are located all over the country. We are a repossession company, we do not have a showroom or an inspection facility. That’s why all sales are based exclusively on delivery.
But I wouldn’t buy anything from them probably a mail box
in Florida and some on those Mumbai Scammers in India.
You see them on Craig list
but for some reason the list price they show is off on the ending like 14383.00$
Lots of UA-cam videos on people in USA giving the scammers a hard time to shut them down. If they are legitimate (doubt) you may be the repo man picking up your tractor, even though they say exclusively on delivery.
Probably a fishing site to get those new tractor buyers info.
Yes! You are more than legitimate!!👍🏻👍🏻
I saw that tractor a couple months ago on a Facebook ad, looked like a scam for sure
I see this here on Facebook Marketplace all the time. I never goes to a website. You respond and they tell you that they listed this tractor for a friend or neighbor. Then you send them a email and get this long story about them selling it but they are out of the state now. They ask you to send the money and they will have the tractor delivered to your address. What a scam and I have seen about a dozen of these. The last one was a 2022 John Deere 3046R cab tractor with 3 attachments and 160 hours on that tractor. The price was $18,200.00, I did not bite on that one either. There are a lot of these out there. Everyone be careful.
I've seen this image an ad posted in multiple regions under multiple sellers names, all at the same time. That' your first clue. Like you say "if it's too good to be true..................."
I saw that very add in facebook marketplace and certainly wanted it to be real but knew it was too good to be true!! Marketplace seems to be a haven for scams ,for instance a 2014 toyota tacoma in perfect condition for 1000 dollars always the same line ,kept in a garage no accidents ..crazy good deal ,also it seems that same deal I saw up north in canada for 35000 canadian all the same attachments
You are right sir this morning i called a company in Athens Tennessee about a tractor come to find out it was used not new i should have known because a dutz farhr 5110 g for less than 90 k new can't be real
Check and see if they have multiple postings with the same background in the pictures, might prove that they have actual possession of the equipment and didn’t steal the images.
The sad thing is they will get some money for Christmas by taking advantage of some poor
tractor buyer. You know it’s Christmas time too over in Mumbai also.
They don't have possession of anything but a criminal mind. They expect people to pay first, sight unseen, then sit around and wait for delivery. NO legitimate business would ever try to operate like that!
It’s just a shame, things never used to be this way.
@@jeremygladd6657 Yep. And it sure seems as if our "leaders" have no interest in making serious attempts to combat this kind of thing.
@@freecycling6687 yeah they sure don’t work for us anymore.
Yep!
Had the same experience when looking for a mini-excavator.
A KX-54 for ONLY $19,950 with less than 300 hours.
The scammer went to great lengths to provide a legit looking web site. If they only worked this hard on a legal enterprise!
The PRICE was an IMMEDIATE RED FLAG!!!
For sh!ts and giggles I emailed them to see how far they would go.
They were all over it until I said I would drive the four hours to come out and test it for myself. Yep! Nothing but crickets after that.
Be careful folks!
I may be spending more money but I will usually buy from a dealer, whether used or not.
Merry Christmas to all!
I also inquired about this tractor. I received a quick response from him by email. I asked about his company and tried to research it online. I found almost nothing and walked away from his deal. I spent 20k more for a different tractor that I bought at a dealer near me. I can’t confirm this was a scam, but I am happy with my decision.
I’ve seen these tractors for sale on craigslist to
I asked them yesterday for pics of the tractor in their possession. Crickets 🦗…
C-list about 15yrs ago found a nice loader tractor at a reasonable price. The pic had mountains in the background, I live where it's flat. The seller claimed the tractor was out west and her brother who drives truck would deliver it for a cost. She said pay that up front and she would deduct it from the cost. Long story short it was a scam to get the shipping money out of you and the tractor would of course never show up. She would not contact me any further when I told her I'm a hotshot driver and I can pick it up and pay cash on site. Suddenly all the ads were pulled. Which were advertised in every state!
6-7 years ago I was looking for a tractor with a back hoe. Listing shows up for a nice looking Kubota. I threw a number out there, not ever expecting to win the bid. But I did. Uh oh. Listing had said the tractor was somewhere in the northern US (can't remember the state anymore) and that delivery was free. In talking with the seller more, I found out the tractor was actually in Canada and that a brother-in-law would deliver for $300. I backed out of the deal. Seller was making threats. I filed a complaint with Ebay, they looked at the email trail and then banned the seller. Several weeks later the same pictures show up on Ebay again, different seller. I notified Ebay but was ignored. Some poor soul won that auction. Later I saw that that seller had one listing with negative feedback - so I would have to assume things did not go well with the buyer.
@@LB-vg2pb sounds like the same type of scam I busted.
Sad that these scammers are out there trying to rip people off. Unfortunately, it only takes one poor soul to fall for the scam and they get a payday. Law enforcement doesn't care about this kind of stuff. I'm happy to see that both of us did not get roped in. @@Itsa_Mea
Don’t know if you know C&C equipment on UA-cam, but they just had someone copying their whole website changing the name and stuff and trying to sell their equipment. They got them shut down and they were in Florida too. Crazy how this goes on.
I've seen these ads. They look amazing good deals. Clearly complete BS. But catches my eye every time.
That JD was on my local Marketplace in Lynchburg Va. 😅 I knew from the onset SCAM
Ask for the VIN/Serial number. They wont be able to get that for you. However, if they do, then it is super easy to follow up on the machine in question. Also if you buy stolen farm equipment, even unintentionally, that item will be recovered at a 100% loss to you.
Their website is full of red flags. No phone number, payment by wire transfers only, the address listed is in a golf course community, they claim the equipment is not in their possession so you cannot see them in person, they will deliver for a too low fee, and the tractors have liens on them. If it isn't a total scam the hook might be that the sales price doesn't include the purchaser paying off the lien on the loan.
Been seeing this alot on marketplace... you can tell if you look up the seller and that same piece is in the "other items" and all the pocs are identical except the location
Used to b big on Craigslist doing it saying the tractor was in this city but had mountains in the background lol w a copypasted email address flagged it looked around other cities n found same tractor flagged it I buy sell repair anything i can flip and they do it w cars trucks motorcycles boats! So i think in one day i flagged at least 50 items! This was 10 yrs ago! Then market place came out and you can tell by their profiles now! No friends list good give away so dont see it as much on marketplace as much in Michigan as you used to yrs ago! They get reported and think to lazy to keep setting up new Facebook accounts! They prey on elderly people that are gullible!
Only driven by Grandma - - - - - - - - on Sundays
Coincidentally, I have an L6060 with attachments that I want to sell. Is there a resource where I can find legitimate resale pricing? I see auction houses that have some advertised pricing, but I'm not sure if that translates to sale-by-owner. Does anyone out there have a resource they trust?
Is there a best time of the year to buy a new tractor?
I gather there is, it’s just before (fiscal) year end.
(in best Forrest Gump voice). Mamma always told me if it's too good to be true, then it's too good to be true.
I found out he lived in an apartment in Florida and he changed his company name and ad.
This is way too weird….i just ran across on the marketplace a kubota L6060 w/loader with 2xx hrs and a brush hog for $27,500..😅
Looked like it was from an actual dealer with fancy website and such….um…no …I seriously doubt it..
Florida is all you have to know.
The address is a commercial real estate company and there is NO company registered in FL with that name. One is really close, but it's an inc, not llc.
I Just came across this same site and also told myself, “this is too good to be true.”
I did a little digging & ended up on- dos.fl.gov
I searched the company name and it did come up! It showed the same address they had listed on the site and it showed the owner having the company from 2017 to now. Or, it shows a document with an FEI/EIN Number, that shows to be signed by the owner every year since 2017. So, I started to think maybe it was real.
I don’t know if they are stealing someone else’s info/company name; Or if you’re able to get fake documents on a government website, or what. 🤨
But when I was close to thinking perhaps it was real, I decided to google search some of the images. Hence, how I ended up here, watching this video. The images showed a few different company names and all sites looked identical aside from the names. One site was, directhearingaidservice.com 🤔 Pretty sure a hearing aid company is not selling tractors. That site, links to Equipment Solution LLC.
The other site-equipmentreliabilityconsulting.com
Shows the name as Equipment Reliability Consulting llc.
Even further messed up, is Both of those also show on the dos.fl.gov page!
I’m really curious how they’re able to do that part of it… Is it more likely that the Company names are real (and why they show on dos.fl.gov) and they are stealing info from legit businesses? Or, are they just able to create and put fake companies on government websites without issue?
Either way, next time I’m definitely going with that initial, “it’s too good to be true.” Smh.
The ones i see all the time is a low mileage toyota for way too cheap
I actually got his phone number a few weeks ago. Called him and questioned him about the tractor he sounded stunned, I imagine because I got his #. He fumbled around and told that he had that exact model with a backhoe. I said great, and he then said it was his tractor 🚜 and it wasn't for sale. I hope there's a place in hell waiting for people like him.
Do you know anything about the guy? He just scammed my grandpa out of $25,000 for this tractor and I’m doing everything I can to find more info on this guy.
It definitely is a scam.
A sucker is born ever minute, this saying is over a hundred years old!
Google earthed the address. It does not exist. The business area it’s in skips that address. Even went through the step reset view for the 2 parking lots next to each other and clearly the numbers jump way past the address given and all of the addresses in that area have suite numbers since multi floor open balcony buildings with multiple tenants per address.
If it’s too good to be true, a little research confirms. No inspection, no sale. Used equipment warranty or not needs to be inspected before purchase.
No phone number what seems strange to me, maybe I can buy that tractor on COD........
I must have Brian a rule earlier by posting the BBB already has an active investigation on the scam company that chipped a legit company, same name , same address And posted that. Sorry if that broke a rule.
If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck, it aint a Grand L.
My grandpa was just scammed by this guy for $25,000 and I’m trying to find answers
They are legit company I just bought my car warranty through them
Thye scams ALWAYS seem to have backhoes..... I don't think I've ever seen a general use farm tractor in real life with a hoe. You think in this day and age a ridiculously low price would be enough to warn anyone with an IQ sbove 3....but NOooo! The modern version of selling the Brooklyn Bridge.
There are deals out there, that aren't scams... I have 15k in a 4720 Johnn deere cab tractor with a loader, bought a 2320 no loader off a dealer once for $2500...both were listed on market place, you just gotta be at the right place at the right time..
My buddy just scored one of those too good to be true deals. 250 hour 2020 Kubota L3560 with the big loader option, the big backhoe option, mechanical thumb, the lift arm kit, a set of GOOD pallet forks AND a 22' 10,000 GVW trailer for about what everybody is asking for JUST the tractor and loader. We were suspicious as hell, but everything came back 100% clean, so he bought it. The guy just said he no longer needed it and needed it to be gone. He even delivered it 40 miles away. Deal of the century!

Of course it's personal. If you want to expose yourself as a fool, you are free to do so. Quoting a bible verse that states a belief in Jesus indicates trustworthiness does exactly that.
