    Mickey is the kind of guy that I would love to learn from over a summer. He does things that most people would over look and all his builds are so clean because of it.

      Yeah sounds like a bad idea. I usually run my cables through the car, it's a lot more work. But just think if you hit something and puncture the lines. The positive cable will spark if it grounds

      It’s done that way from the factory in most BMWs with a rear mounted battery (a lot of them, M Cars too) so is completely safe with a 2 gauge wire that’s fused.

    Mickey.. where’s the circuit breaker installation or fuse off the battery, don’t skip the safety cos people are going to follow what you did here and miss crucial safety points on their own car.
    For anyone who doesn’t know, if you do not use a circuit breaker or fuse off the new battery location and any part of the earthed body pierces through that power cable it’s gonna glow red hot and burn anything along the line.. including those fuel lines....and the rest of the car.
    Great work tho.

    With that much amperage and line it might be worth thinking about putting a large fuse right off the battery terminal. Also I'm kinda surprised you didn't address battery off gassing. Most batterys mounted inside have blow down tubes to allow the battery gassed to vacate the cab.

    Here's idea: In description should try to link all tools & products you use in vid with Amazon Affiliate links. That way if someone does want & buys it from link, you guys would get a tiny profit to help out channel & biz😉😀
    Just throwin out, & know have Throtl site, but for all those who aren't members, & like Amazon, etc....
    Just throwing it out & u sure if thought if, as setting up & creating links(research etc) can be time consuming if extremely busy.

    2g welding wire is equivalent to 4g car audio wire so that’s why it’s cheaper and always go with ofc wire but I’d say you should always go with 0g

      Chriscross 7 it's also not cheaper unless you're buying stinger or one of the commercial brands. I paid less then 3.50/ft for my 1/0. Hell me 4/0 I used for the runs from my distribution blocks didn't even cost $5/ft

    yo yo that's very dangerous what you're doing with that power wire you're better off removing the kick panel and running it through the firewall like you would an audio system overtime that will vibrate against the metal pipe and cause it to wear out the rubber casing and Arc out. think about it if that was a good idea the Factory would have been doing that a long time ago they don't run any power wires underneath the car especially next to fuel

    • @freedomfox8183
      @freedomfox8183 6 років тому

      Deatherage performance no it won't at least in over 10 years I haven't had issue once with rubbing and his is even cleaner that mine stop trying to act like you know what your talking about.. it's not a daily and that setup could outlast the engine on this car without any issues

    • @deatherageperformance8367
      @deatherageperformance8367 6 років тому +3

      GixxerDad 600 you clearly have no idea what you're talking about if you worked on vehicles before you know that issue it can happen in the next 10 years or can happen in the next month you never knows that's why you never do it that way if you do your wiring like that that's why your shit going to fry it's not the same as street bike you idiot
