Recently got a Mevo 2nd hand - v interesting albeit not 100% accurate in all measures (carry distance) compared to what I see on the course, but v helpful nonetheless as a way of comparing e.g. swing speed as I try different swing variations. It’s superb in the way it records your swing so you can watch them back - feel v real! Showed me immediately my habit of adjusting grip immediately prior to starting my backswing, & in turn I could see the slight close of club face at the same time - no surprise that I pulled some shots that day🙈. Great vid Alex👍
A straightforward presentation. Highly interesting. I was not too much ready to get the Arccos system pack so this Blast training aid could inspire me more. Thanks a lot for your help 😉.
You brought up a point at the end that occurred to me when I first saw it installed. How much will having that weight on the end, change the swing? And if you have to change your grip, like moving down on the grip to keep from holding the device itself, how will that change the stroke. Most people would think it would be negligible but swing weight is a tricky thing. Not necessarily a deal breaker, but I'd have to take any of the measurements with a grain of salt. BTW, how long do you thing the attachment is going to last, being pulled off and on during a round? Are replacements available, and how much? Good review with an honest opinion. Thanks.
I own one of the Blast devices I think it is a great device for the average golfer Great price Can use it all winter indoors to sharpen putting I would recommend
As an Arccos user too, does the Blast Golf anaylizer keep cumulative stats? Would you ever use it on the golf course for any reason or is it mostly a practice range tool?
I just don't know if I can justify the cost for me personally. I spent $500 on a new driver late last season and I got an extra 25 yards in exchange on most of my drives ... and at the end of the season my driving was the best it has been in years in accuracy and the extra distance. So worth the money. I'm hitting about a thousand balls a week at my local heated practice range .. working mostly on my long clubs this winter. (okay ..maybe two thousand a week) So would a gadget do better than the golf ball's action off the clubface for me? I just don't know. Thanks for the info AE.
Hi Alex have you tried PHI GOLF it is similar to this aid but ultimately promotes as a game but does work at the range with distance added apparently. Can you try please ?
Interesting video Alex. I personally think that my Shot Scope does the job. Can't see adding anything else would be worth the cost. Thank you. #100club.
Only have so many pennies in my pocket. How far do you take it? I know we all want to play better but I have to be honest I played my best golf when I had the time and fitness to play at least twice a week which cost me no more than my membership fee. Would I make single figures, no. But I got to a reasonable standard where muscle memory was enough to get me to 16.
I looked at the reviews in Amazon Canada, and they were NOT complimentary. Apparently there is a 3rd generation which has all the bells and whistles, and Amazon Canada only carries the 1st generation...so no putting or short game analysis. Also, I've got an odyssey putter with an oversized grip...does the blast analyzer have a large size mounting sleeve for that?
Definitely, you need the latest version, but I am fairly sure that it's a software update and that is free. Certainly, my Blast bought early this year, is running the same software as in this video and giving the same information. Well worth the investment.
I had the Zepp 3D 2.0. it cheaper than this and you wear the sensor on your glove-it also shows you your swing plane. thought it was a neat little bit of kit...until my dog chewed it 🤦🏻
@@AlexElliottGolf I watched your video again..and this time I understand this tool in more detail. I guess it is worth the money. My first impression..is I know when my swing sucked...and did not it to tell me so :)
What do you think? Do you use any swing analyser at all? Are they any good?

I bought a PRGR launch monitor last year. Really disappointing.
I’ve tried one but sent it back in the first 30 days. I’m intrigued with this one.
Great video. Seems like a good tool if it helps with angle of attack & face angle
Thank you. Very helpful. Placing my order now for this.

Really useful review Alex - thanks
Thanks for your review.
I like the idea of the putting analysis, but I doubt if it would fit over a Superstroke grip.

mainly on the practice range but i do love it
Alex, does it analyse swing plane/release? Im trying to cure casting the club and causing a little out to in 14hcp
Nice review Alex...was wondering if you had a look at the deWiz swing analyser?
Hi, i havent yet but sounds like i should?
Great comments and much appreciated
Never used an analyzer…just afraid my swing might blow it up.
Just got one for Xmas, was gonna eBay it but will give it a bash after this review.cheers
oh brill!
@@AlexElliottGolf just looked at the reviews and it’s crap on Android which I have, might be worth an edit on your vid.
I have been told that the newer versions of this device are much improved. Have you tested it lately?
I haven’t not but it is likely to be much improved!
Awesome looking product....SOOOOOO, only available for the UK?.
Yeah at the moment
Very interesting, thanks!
really useful tool, thanks

Yeah i totally understand how you can think that! I personally love it, good points here though
Does the acose work when the blast fitted to your grip?
I assume so
Great video, 1000 Thx!!

I haven’t tried this no! definitely should then?

Alex any device like this one that has distance included?
Not this device no but there certainly is. Worth having a look via the link in the description

hi kevin, fitness is a massive thing in the golf swing for sure
@@AlexElliottGolf with a wrecked back I only play once a month now with the aid of plenty of ibuprofen. Because I refuse to give up completely
Does this device measure swing speed?
I’m not 100% sure
Could you do a video that compares Blast with data from Trakman?
what a greta idea!!! this has to be done

hello david this is the latest one! i have found it very good. My putter grip is thick and had no issue placing it on the end

3 positive responses...I've placed the order. Hopefully this helps my winter practice!
How does it know if you do a pre shot....or don't you..?
Dont know how they won the lawsuit against zepp this is junk compared to zepp. Zepp did swing plane hand plane and speed
Just buy it, I did and I love it!
actually tour average is 1.2 degrees down on the driver
I actually ordered directly from America and was half the price
What really sucks is the lawsuit ruling has now left every Zepp owner outside the USA completely screwed.

Shame you didn't show us putting data, a
Thanks Alex for the interesting demo, any possibility to compare with the ZEPP device?
Hej ALEX thanks for good review. Maybe you can try the g3 shotscope I like using
it.
yes great idea!! do you have one?
@@AlexElliottGolf yes i do but i am new to golf and a high handicap but find it very easy to use and helpfull.
Blimey! Interesting…but what about the release?
Thanks for tuning in and what do you mean sorry?
whys it always wet over there? jk
nice video bro
Hahahha your telling me 😂😂😂

what would you suggest?
