I feel like the reason they put Korsica's fight on rails and reduced it to parrying and dodging is because so many people would've broken the timeline and spammed Korsica at Korsica
I don't think so. It's probably because she was set to become an ally later on, so they couldn't have Chai spanking her for life right before joining the crew.
Seeing that there's more and more of stuff like this makes me impressed not just by how the devs actually cared for a great amount of details in this game, but the fact that these comments were actually voiced.
I like the indirect implication that CNMN is the one responsible for making the game function since he can just casually force a cutscene to occur anyway. Bro didn’t have to look for a moment to be useful. He always was.
Theres a reason this game launched and maintained overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics and consumers alike. Theres a reason this game will be mentioned possibly even an award winner, which it should. Because they took time, patience, love, and effort into it without trying to hype it for us. They made it how they wanted to make it. And we love that, people love genuine shit
Except that the game isn't just 10 hours, though. A decent amount of people are going to do more than 1 playthrough, especially since rhythm master difficulty isn't available at the start. There's also the Spectra rooms to find and beat throughout the game, then the other version of them at the hideout. And, there's also the rhythm tower to get through. A single, initial playthrough will typically run about 10 hours, but there's a lot more content than just that.
I did this immediately on my second playthrough just to see how the devs would’ve handled the sequence break. Needless to say, it’s a hilarious way to ensure you can’t break the flow, having CNMN tell you that your actions are cheating cause he hasn’t joined you yet is great cause he hasn’t either.
I saw your nice replies on your video about quitting before Kale's final phase and I really appreciate you going the extra mile to show us all the silly little moments the game has to offer!!
You can also, if you have enough meter stored, or a battery, use a special move that can break Z-shielding, which will keep CNMN from accusing you of cheating, since you could already do that before, but it'll still have the game worry about timeline consequences and trigger the cutscene, since you're not supposed to know a special move can break Z-shields
@@Realest_Mal Yeah, but that's still a time paradox, this is just a way to beat the match on repeat playthroughs that doesn't require finishing the whole game.
I just experienced this for myself earlier. I thought they were just gonna lock Macaron during the fight but this option was much funnier. Could you show us what happens if you take a break after being captured? Or does that not trigger any new dialogue?
you can also break the shields without macaron by saving the battery until you hit this point and then using a special such as pick slide that breaks z-shielding.
When I replayed this I was so sure they would lock Macaron because that would be how 90% of games would probably handle it, but no... ... This game took a flaw in the ability to replay levels and made it a memorable moment, one do good that I started getting bad at fighting because I was so surprised 😅
I've seriously taken over 20 hours in just my first play through with this game just from all the details there are to observe. I don't know how anyone speeds through it in 10 their first time unless they're ignoring everything
Idk how you're taking over 20 hours on one playthrough, tbh. I got through my first in about 11ish, and that's with getting most of the collectibles. "Ignoring everything." It's a linear game, with small secrets hidden in corners, not an extensive RPG with side quests. Like, if you're standing there, slowly listening to every voice line, reading every datapad multiple times, and triple checking every single corner and pit, then sure, you could artificially bump up the time, but 20 is a stretch unless you're wasting a lot of time.
@@eXJonSnow there's a ton of attention to detail in the game and tons of easter eggs. I'm not sure why anyone would try to artificially inflate time on a playthrough... Lol. Some people just take more time to stop and smell the roses i guess.
0:30 At first, I didn't get what CNMN was saying, since Macaroni was JUST on the battlefield. And then I reminded myself... Macaroni joins you after this fight Also Korsica was able to be used, that also gave me the wrong vibes...
You don't, but after beating the game you can replay levels on different difficulties which allows you to use abilities on early levels that you wouldn't be able to on a normal playthrough.

It would be hilarious to call Korsica at Korsica and have the two of them scolding Chai by pitting them against each other
Maybe it would've been something like 'Wait, how in the bloomin' hell did you get my private number?!'
@@mcslender2965 What should happen is the two of them should team up to beat up Chai, but then when the fight is over she hits herself on the head.

Stuff like this is probably partly why it took 6 years to make a game that's like 10 hours. And frankly, I wouldn't trade anything for it.

That’s not an absurd amount for modern action games you know

You can just tell the developers had so much fun making this game.
The evil within duology was a really detail and love filled series. You can tell they translated it to this damn well

I haven't played this game, guess you're meant to lose this fight or something??
Yeah, at this point in the game you aren't supposed to have Macaron on your team, and he's the only one who can break through the bot's shielding.
Normallly you'd just hit the bot uselessly a couple times then the cutscene would trigger.
Whay happen at the end ?
