Nice list, I was expecting other types of books though. The one I'd recommend would be 'Ludwig Wittgenstein On Color'. Wittgenstein is a Austrian-British philosopher with a very unique look at... everything actually. In 'On Color' his thoughts and logic think experiments about color are collected. It's a really interesting and thought provoking book to read, especially when you're a designer. It gives a new perspective on color that goes away from the functional aspect of color, on which we seem to focus a lot.
Every time I watch your content I find something useful! I would really love to hear more about video/filmmaking since you guys are producing so much video content. I find that sometimes I struggle to translate ideas from the design/branding business practices to an equivalent strategy for creating video as a business. Thanks for all you're doing!
Seems like a good list. I was getting a very Reading Raibow vibe after a while 😁 FWIW, I would recommend anything by Seth Godin or a book I just finished called, "Pitching Ideas: Make People Fall in Love with Your Ideas." It's written by Jeroen van Geel. Keep up the great work!
@@thefutur i once texted Chris on insta gram and he replied and helped me out plus mathew as well that's something i really appreciate i was working with a client that did not give specific brief what he needs all he said was" i need salt bag design 10 kg". I ended up making design but the client afterwards said he doesn't need the work anymore. Weird experience 😂
Thanks for the list Futur! . . . And I remember now who Greg Gunn reminds me of...its Nick Swardson!! I thought I saw Greg in Grown ups 2...lol!! Where is my mind wandering now : )
I paused the video midway to go buy "The Win without pitching manifesto - Blair Enns" on my k***** app. It literally cost me 199 Indian rupees (around $3). I hope I'm able to position myself better up the foodchain after this. Thank you so much The Futur team!!
So, what would be the best (or favorite) novel you would recommend ? Personally I think fiction is also very interesting to develop a creative mind and enrich imagination, and sometimes even give unexpected clues for any kind of matter in life and I would be curious to know what you guys read. One of my favorite : Hyperion and the Fall of Hyperion. An insane and visionary sci-fi novel that goes beyond a simple futuristic story and decrypts a lot of the mechanisms of human civilization through the tales of a strange pilgrimage and space geopolitics.
I'd also point out to 'Meditations' by Marcus Aurelius. He feels like Holiday's spiritual father and I believe it's one of the books every person should read. Mind-blowing value in it...
Off-topic, how do you read the title of Blain Enns' book? The "Win Without Pitching" Manifesto or The Win Without "Pitching Manifesto". My guess is on the first one
I know they have typography course but I wan know typography will help me or not I search one for free and I don't find I just want to experiment typography cause if will help me I will to watch it in udemy
Thanks for sharing your picks, fam! I'd just like to emphasize the importance of reading books from areas like philosophy, psychology, science etc. as well, because opening our minds towards as many different perspectives as possible, helps us get to know ourselves better and if we look at the world as a construct of our brain based on perception, we can conclude that knowing ourselves better = knowing the world better... In case anyone is curious what do I mean by that, here is a link to the books that are on my wishlist :D ... ( a.co/5Bp8Bm5 )

That Gregg Gunn guy is so happy and all, seems so excited talking about his book.
The way he explained his book, I really want to read it now.

Quite the soothing voice too. Would listen to a podcast of his for days.
It's a marvelous book. Gorgeous, and fun to putter through a page or two whenever I have a minute.

it's a good start.
Came here to prepare my list for 2021 books
I hate books about running a business, and that book suggested by greg still seems really designy, but more up my alley and interesting to me.
it was a design book disguised as a non-design book
