It’s really cool to hear your take on running your first 5k. My mom took me to my first one to get me out of my shell when I was in 7th grade, because I was super introverted and I hated sports. Then I started to run trail 5ks a LOT. Now I do 30ks and 40ks, and I’m working I’m starting to work my way into the ultras. It’s so nice to know that you are a member of the running community Gibi! I can't sleep with music playing, it has to be rain noises, car noises or asmr. Idk why, music is just an unnatural sound for me when I'm sleeping so it doesn't make me fall asleep. I love asmr so much though! 😊😋

I loved some of your perspectives in this video - thanks for sharing :) I also participated in a really rigorous months long study that involved me repeatedly sitting in a testing chamber almost naked called a Bod Pod, being electrocuted in my leg to test my muscle activation, and riding a stationary bike at full sprint against my own body weight.. it was excruciating and I never got paid. But it certainly was cool!!
Thank u for this video. As you were telling your stories of college it made me think of my experiences good and bad and all the people I met during that time. It is stressful but at the same time it opened up my world to new things.
As someone totally stressing over college and making all these decisions, I can say without a doubt that this video provided some of the best information and insight into the modern college system I’ve ever gotten. It might not seem like a lot, but this video honestly really helped me understand somethings, thank you so much for making it Gibi!
The section about going to the gym often reminded me of this odd piece of advice I got from a friend - "When your brain hurts, make your body hurt". When your mind is overloaded, repetitive physical exercise helps your brain process what it's struggling with. The exercise and physical work does something similar to muscle-memory in that it provides a separate task that aids your brain in laying the new information and knowledge into it's patterns. Side benefit: you get swol.
I'm a senior political science major and today was the first day of classes. I can confirm that this is all true. When you get started as a freshman, it can feel like a huge weight crushing you and you have no help. It won't feel like it can get better, but it absolutely does. Soon you'll get into the swing of things and even by the end of the first semester, you'll start feeling like you are already home. Thank you Gibi for making this video and spreading the word
